There is no way Last Samurai is a titan. For this a movie needs to be a classic that is watched over and over again. In this case it would be Edge of Tomorrow, top 20 sci-fi movie of all time.
Thanks for tuning in, @2012ArsenalMega! In my definition, an "All-Time Titan" is among the top 50 highest-grossing movies of the decade. This is simply about numbers, not preference-although I happen to enjoy The Last Samurai every time I watch it.
2 flops & one of them is a movie I love. Legend from 1985 is awesome. It had a woodlands boy with a fairy that went out to save a princess from dark evil. Does that sound a bit like Zelda? This movie may have inspired Nintendo a bit.
It's just a LOT of googling, @timames4405! The figures I present are based on publicly available information and educated estimates. For more info, please check the video description.

How are these actors being paid? What determines the amount in each check? Im seeing huge BOX OFFICE numbers. With very low paychecks. Can somebody please explain?
Great question, @jay300m04! These paychecks mostly boil down to an actor's star power-how much they can draw an audience-and the movie's budget. Other perks like backend deals, box office cuts, and even how risky the role is can all bump up that number.
I would lkove to see this for rock bands. I remember reading - back in the day - about Elton John making $7 million in one year. 1975 I think. Nowadays that is probably the line item budget for guitar picks.
Interesting idea, @caramanico1! However, my channel focuses solely on Cinema. However, I love the idea and I may just have a friend who could create such a channel...
Actually, it depends on various factors, @johnperez1730! In Tom’s case, he typically takes a lower upfront fee from the budget plus has a backend deal entitling him to a significant share of the movie’s earnings.
That’s not how it works. Some movies don’t report what they pay at the actor as the budget. Some movies do, another thing is we don’t know if that money was an advance or a contract contract or a percentage of ownership of the film, a percentage of sales and royalties, etc..

Yeah, people just don’t understand how it all works which makes sense. They’re not handing him a check for 100 million bucks.
