Thank for posting. Excellent info on success. 78 movies total : 35% successful 19%average 46% failure He only" succeeded " one third of his attempts. And by all means he is considered to have a very successful career. Lesson? You need to fail a lot in order to find success. Keep going no matter what and eventually you succeed.
Tell that to people that continue to point out Trump filed bankruptcy 6!times while owning over 500!companies. He has a 99% success rate, which is unheard of in the business world, yet people want to focus on a few failures in companies that he was a partner in. Everyone with a real college degree understands failure is a way to learn, and without failure, it’s practically impossible to improve.
Liam has been in some fantastic movies. Next Of Kin with the late great Patrick Swayze,Darkman and Kingdom Of Heaven being just three that i love watching at least once a year..he’s way more than Taken and The Grey
Thank you for bringing this up, @magicmike802! I used certain criteria to filter out lesser-known movies, but I realize now it was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. Check out some of my recent works-I’m more thorough nowadays.
4:56 Taken 2 the total budget was 45 million half of which went the Neeson....HALF THE BLOODY BUDGET FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!...it was even more for Taken 3 over half the budget!!
Thanks for tuning in, @astropioneer3296! In most cases, especially in recent decades, he negotiated a backend deal to get a slice of the profits - these are included in the figures you see in the video.
Most of us watching this are like you. 30 years as an accountant / finance manager and all together I made so far 1.5 millions gross (then take 38% out of it for taxes and social security). And I consider to have only had a 20% flopped years!
Think about this, he made 323 million dollars for all these movies and all the work he put into them. That's only one third of a billion dollars. And people are worth 150 billion? Really hard to wrap your head around.
Not really, he’s an actor, not selling anything, the billion worth guys are always selling stuff that matters to the whole world, that actually has a worldwide impact, thus making billions, Tesla, Amazon, etc
Now that Liam Neeson has had ten "bombs", "flops" or N/A's, in a row, since 2019, is the general public trying to tell this 72 year "action star", that it's time to stop making the same movie, over & over again? Also, does he get a percentage of the gross, because his salary range seems to fluctuate more than I've ever seen?
Thanks for tuning in, @rongendron8705! I actually like his movies, but not the ones that feel the same. And yes, in some cases, he's getting a cut of the profits; the figures I present reflect that.
I'm doubting any of these numbers are real..also the Budget vs Box Office success of the film is laughably incorrect. Most films need to make at least twice of their budget to account for the theaters cut and marketing.
I respect your skepticism, @mmikej24. Feel free to check the video description if you're interested in how I do my research. As for my labeling strategy, you are right, it’s a bit off in this video-sorry about that. Check out some of my recent work; it’s more realistic. Thanks for tuning in!
What's the difference between a Flop and a Bomb? Some of the movies that did well you call bombs. I'm confused about how you draw your conclusions. If a movie made a lot more than it's budget why do you call it a Flop/Bomb?
Thank you for bringing this up, @chocolatecaramel4447! Box office earnings are split between the cinemas and the studio, so a movie has to earn at least twice its budget just to break even. A "Bomb" is the worst-it makes less than the budget. A "Flop" is slightly better-it makes more than the budget but less than 2x. Both lose money none the less. Hope this clarifies!
Most of his recent movies have been flops but that's Hollywood for you now. They have no idea how to make great movies anymore. At least most of the time. I see After.Life flopped. A couple years ago I got some movie channels free for a week and I watched that movie. It was different from most of his movies. Really weird. Not the kind of movie I guess people go see but okay on TV. Also, he's been acting a long time and seems to have a few movies going all the time. You wouldn't think he was in that many movies. He's had a great career.
Thank you for bringing this up, @madebymonkeys5641. Actually, he was already a big name, thanks to Taken and other hits, plus he had backend deals in his contract.
I might do that sometime, @Stonecutter334-perhaps when I reach 100k subs - maybe one card for each month in the video. But not yet. Right now, I don’t think people would be interested. Plus, I earn too little; it’s just not worth discussing (yet).
I quit watching his movies after his comment about Americans having too many guns. Meanwhile 99% of his movies include gun violence. Don't care for hypocrisy
just because of that? how about leonardo being #1 in diddys invitation? ashton being decade long friends with diddy? james franco sexual charges, will smith slapping chris rock, you should cancel them too.
@@pauldg913chill man. No one supports those hollyweirds. Did you want him to list everything he boycotts and rank them on a scale of most important reasons? This is a video about liam, so it only makes sense his comment was based upon said person.
And worth every single dollar. He has retired now. I hope he goes back to Ireland where he will find peace and a new love of his life. He’s a lovely man. He needs someone in his life he can’t be alone. She’s not coming back. Move on.❤

Well he seemed to consistently work, much like Denzel. But his paycheck was all over the place.
Taken was his biggest payouts. But I liked some of those flops and bombs.
I think it was the Schindler's List that really catapulted his career for older people, and Start Wars for younger people internationally
I Love His Last Two Movies Bought Both Can't Believe They Didn't Perform Better))
maybe playing the same role every movie gets boring after a while
The fact that you still maki g millions for a bad movie is great! I should have been an actor!
Noticed you left out The Big Man, any reason?

Do Chuck Norris
On the list, @nature7413, waiting for his turn 😉
I think he's a good actor and even if a movie is panned, I'll still see it if
he's in it.
4:56 Taken 2 the total budget was 45 million half of which went the Neeson....HALF THE BLOODY BUDGET FOR THE MOVIE!!!!!...it was even more for Taken 3 over half the budget!!
Thank you for bringing this up, @Joeseph-t2e! What you’re seeing there is a juicy backend deal in action-he negotiated a slice of the profits.
WOW 😲 if Liam doesn't get a hit movie soon I think he's done
That’s actually quite the pay, it’s cool being top 100 actor
$27 million!!! I'd be doing Taken 3 every time. No doubt!
Wonder if he received net points on any of those.

Irish gravitas, pure screen gold rising from the bogs of the green isle.
Can you please do Kathy Bates❤ Thank you
Interesting pick, @valerieirvin4330! Added to the list 😉
Favorite actor 👍👍👍
K-9 Widowmaker was a really good movie
He sleepwalks his way through every film he's in.
The bounty and Les Miserables are good movies from his early years
Halle Berry please 😊
Good you include the 1988 movie 🎥 The Dead Pool. Starred him, Clint Eastwood, Jim Carrey and Guns and Roses.
Only 2M for Batman Begins is criminal...
Can you please do Adam Sandler
Sure thing, @gabrielhall9099! Added to the list.
I can see at some points in his career that his pay contract was tied to the box office take.
That's correct, @SteveBoltz-e8c!
How about doing Leonardo di Caprio please ❤
Working on it right now, @Toon_3677! Stay tuned 😉

Can you add Tim Curry to the list?
Sure thing, @kendallcaminiti-hess2243! Over 200 movies-quite a challenge, but I’m up for it. 😉
Please can do one for Keanu Reeves and Dwyane Johnson
I'm on it, @fixxdeth2075! 😉
For all the hype he gets he's got way too many bombs.

Because he is in Nicolas cages bracket.

I didn't see The Good Mother (1988)on your list? 14 million budget 4,764,000 gross? I couldn't find his salary for it🤷🏾♂️
Do gary oldman
Nice pick, @quancro! Added to the list.
Damn he had a run from jump of flops and movies basically just barely average money making
Wow… So many Bombs and he’s still successful! How come?
I guess sometimes a movie is just rubbish but why turn down the $… everyone knows you can’t polish a turd
You forgot the starwars movies !!
Its there, @patrickbenoit5495! Rewatch 😉
@@patrickbenoit5495 err no, Phantom Menace was in there. I doubt he got paid extra for the teeny tiny ghost Jedi cameos of the others.

Oh yeah Schindler's list, Excalibur & Taken are basically the same movie 😐
Yep. Once you've seen Kinsey, you've seen Batman Begins
I’d say this applies more to Jason Statham
Yeah because Darkman is super similar to Schindlers list 😂
The marshal?
