Crazy how quick you pulled those intro strings together. Always amazes me when I see people pick up a song by ear especially when it’s so accurate. Envious.
Me and my dad recently had a discussion about the meaning of this song. We are from a small town in Oklahoma, and this song hits deep with my dad. He interprets it as a girl who is absolutely amazing, and she doesn't know her worth. She lets guys who don't deserve her, walk all over her, take advantage of her and break her. My dad said that that girl is me. this song is so unbelievably relatable to so many people.
I'm a huge Zach Bryan fan. So when this song came out, I listened to it and loved it. It was at the top of my playlist. It sadly reminded me so much of my sister, though. Every line of this sing is so real. Years of watching her be with bad guy after bad guy. Alcoholics, drug users, and abusers. She was very pretty and deserved so much better. But she couldn't see that. She was always gussied up, she had dreams, but she let the world teach her how to dress and act. She didn't make it out alive. Two months after this song came out, she was with a low life that let her get killed and left her to die. She was found the next day, and it was ruled as an accident. She was only 35. I let my Mom listen to it a couple of days after it happened. She had never listened to ZB before, and she just burst into tears. So that's my interpretation of this song. He is the best song writer!
John 3:16-17. 16 For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son so who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the grave you will be saved.” God bless everybody that is reading this prayers for you all and your family in Jesus Christ name amen 🙏
I'm always amazed at people who can just hear an instrument, especially a guitar, once and then turn around and play it back perfect. My cousin is one of those people. I know probably 100 musicians and only 2 I personally know can actually do that. It's an amazing skill and ear. Props dude that's awesome
i think the "so much whiskey in this coke it'll make her nose bend" line was just saying like it's so strong she'll snarl up 😂 i don't think zach messes with the booger sugar
I viewed this as a girl who’s stuck in a toxic relationship, who has so much potential but lets him bring her down. She meets a great guy but at the end of the day, she can’t leave her toxic relationship even though this new guy is everything she deserves.
I don't wanna seem like like a Troll but I can't help but understand exactly what you're saying I totally felt the same way I did,,I finally got away last July,,16yrs of Toxic abuse in everyway,,I'm Soo Much better I can't remember being this Happy in years,,I hope and Pray You can find away out!!🤗🙏❤️
What I loved about this music video is how they used the depiction of "feeling like a clown" showing she knows she's making the wrong decision but can't help it. Beautiful filmmaking. You should give Man Made A Bar a listen, I belive its best song on Morgan Wallens new album. Keep up the good videos!
This one of my 5 favorite Zach Bryan songs. Such a beautiful story of how traditional small-town ideals don’t allow women, especially beautiful women, to pursue their dreams and often leave them stuck in relationships with terrible men
It’s hard because for some people it’s an issue but for others it’s what they want. Plus not everyone ends up with a “bad man” in a small town. There are tons of great men and women in small towns and big cities. But yes the song is very sad and I’m sure people from small towns have seen this sort of thing happen.
Thanks for the chords! I ❤ it. 🎸 This is a true, story telling song. You broke it down just right to feel her pain of being trapped. (Not by a small town, but by a man.)✌
The song is a 10 out of 10... but the music video is just... chefs kiss.... just so well produced, love seeing music videos that actually follow the story of the song.
So, I don’t comment often on TH-cam, but you said what I needed to hear this afternoon. I’m new to you AND Zack Bryan, but am thinking of leaving the “city” for a small town education job. Lots of fear of missing out, but I just had to say thanks for making me realize how small the world is now, even in a town without a stoplight. (Crazy!!)
Swear watching your reactions tonight on Zach a few of his songs have a Springsteen influence from the “wet” strumming notes to his initial verse cadence. Or are my ears crazy? Huge fan of his and your sincere reactions. Keep it rolling!
How am I JUST seeing this! Thank you SO much for adding guitar help on this. I’ve been workin on this song for the last two weeks you just helped so much. Love this song. And love you, thank you for all this content for real. ❤
I've just recently started listening to Zach Bryan, and I'm really digging the way you break the songs down. As much into lyrics as you are, Jason Isbell will blow your mind. IMO he's the best songwriter of this generation. Try anything from his "Southeastern " album, it's a masterpiece, and his first album after he got sober. Especially "Elephant" and "Yvette"
Hey bro they literally filmed this about two weeks ago maybe less he filmed this in my home town of marfa texas that opening hill is cherry hill in marfa the rodeo is in alpine texas its funny because I had just sung my rendition of his song something in the orange and the local coach showed him my video
@6:41 On the subject of lyricism. Please look up Wannabe by Dylan Schneider. That song is one of my favorites just because of how the lyric structure is. I think you would enjoy it.
Brah, I love yout videos. Even love how you catch the chords hopefully one day I can catch them as well as you do and play that six string the same way. 🤘🏼❤
I love his music I play it at work on my echo but this song me and my co chef sing this at the top of our lungs and, oddly enough the song "Dark" isnt on amazon music which sucks
You’ve mentioned Lucero in an earlier video… their new record came out in February and it’s a banger! They’re definitely worth revisiting if you’ve been away awhile
dude all of his (Benjamin dakota rogers) music is so old school and his guitar play is put of this world!!!! help blow this man up. I don't know him at all but he deserves recognition
I know all the lyric websites say make her nose bend but I think it's spin.. like when you drink too much and you get the spins. He was talking about how much whiskey was in the coke. Just the way I hear it 🤷♂️ lol
I no longer live in the small town I grew up in. Got a job in the city because you gotta do what you gotta do. My goal is to make it back to that small town one day.
“So much whiskey in this coke it’ll make her nose bend” I believe he’s simply artfully describing the amount of whiskey in her drink. He’s using the phrasing to describe how her drink is so strong she’ll recoil (or her nose will bend) at the smell of her own drink.
I’ve been noodling on the guitar with a lot of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers songs. You made just pulling it by ear look a bit easier than I can do it lol. We’ll done.
Man i love zach bryans music and im glad he put out a new video just kinda wished it was for a new song to promote his new album that should be coming out writers and fighters i guess its gonna be called phish have you listened to any of his songs from the mclovin moon youtube chanel love those songs ghost town
I keep trying to figure out what the best Zach Bryan songs to recommend to people are and every time I can only narrow it down to his entire discography. There is not a single song he has made that isn't a must-listen. Although two that I think you would really like in particular are From Austin and Heavy Eyes. Especially if you liked the production style of Oklahoma Smokeshow.
LOL Oklahoma Smoke Show is a term coined from the red dirt country music scene that broke out in and around Oklahoma City OK. The verse refers to the bands playing tiny smoke filled dive bars in, around, and between Amarillo Tx and OKC.
Since you have been reacting to allot of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers stuff recently.. I suggest you react to Jason Isbells “god dam lonely love” from the live from Alabama album.. such a raw amazing example of unbelievable song writing and his music lead me to the Childers and Zach Bryan’s of the world
Zach sometimes writes 2 different scenes going on at the same time. Sort of how movies are when you have multiple characters in different places at the same time and the scenes go back and forth. It’s an interesting style for sure.
Crazy how quick you pulled those intro strings together. Always amazes me when I see people pick up a song by ear especially when it’s so accurate. Envious.
Musicians are incredible
There’s something special in the music and his voice. It’s deep
I agree with your dad completely about the interpretation of the song
Hope you heard your dad after all this time and got it going in the right direction🙏🏼
That is oklahoma and east texas
You heard him, you don’t have to leave to make it. Maybe you need to leave, no matter what you can do it ♥️
I was reading this as if you were a boy and really shocked me at the end there
You broke that intro down so fast. True talent
I'm a huge Zach Bryan fan. So when this song came out, I listened to it and loved it. It was at the top of my playlist. It sadly reminded me so much of my sister, though. I’m so sorry ❤

Thanks man. I learned by ear, so that is why. I just did it again in my latest zach Bryan release:)
i think the "so much whiskey in this coke it'll make her nose bend" line was just saying like it's so strong she'll snarl up 😂 i don't think zach messes with the booger sugar
That's exactly what it is. It just happens to sound like a drug pun.
Exactly
Yea it’s just clever play on words
Ha! His Headed South raw video he was on some kind of upper
@@Eazy_Way_Out i mean truly you never know. he's talked about pills in songs but i haven't heard any coke references
I viewed this as a girl who’s stuck in a toxic relationship, who has so much potential but lets him bring her down. She meets a great guy but at the end of the day, she can’t leave her toxic relationship even though this new guy is everything she deserves.

Morgan Wallen is trash
Open the Gate and Quitting TIme by Zach Bryan are two excellent songs you should check out. Both are show a different style from Zach.
I think Open the Gate seems more like a better reaction to do, that story element
Tishomingo
Just calmly played it on guitar like a freakin beast
The breakdown of the chords is definitely something we only get with you. Cool stuff
Michael Palmisano
@justinflott5133 my exact thought
Zach Bryan is one of my favorites...love love love Oklahoma Smokeshow. Thanks for another great reaction video!
This is my number one favourite song, and I just can't listen to it once without tearing up!
duuuuude, impressive ear, and ability to decipher that.
This one of my 5 favorite Zach Bryan songs. Such a beautiful story of how traditional small-town ideals don’t allow women, especially beautiful women, to pursue their dreams and often leave them stuck in relationships with terrible men

you are one talented guy, being able to explain the lyrics and the meaning of the songs as well as explaining the chords🙏
Thanks for the chords! I ❤ it. 🎸 This is a true, story telling song. You broke it down just right to feel her pain of being trapped. (Not by a small town, but by a man.)✌
Me and my gf love this song we sing it so loud. Shes in Airforce BMT right now so i listen to it when im missing her :(
It was amazing how you played it on guitar in just few minutes. It's impressive to me 💪
One of my favorite songs, from a great local artist! I love seeing my fellow Okies doing good things!! :)
you popped up in my feed, and after watching this, your credibility skyrockets when i saw you figure out the chords at the beginning, well done sir.
Thank you :) a couple months ago he invited me on stage to play with him as well.
Genuinely one of the best reactions I’ve ever seen not only are you able to play the notes but you really listen to the words unlike other people.
That’s awesome you pickin out the chords and showing what it is!
The song is a 10 out of 10... but the music video is just... chefs kiss.... just so well produced, love seeing music videos that actually follow the story of the song.
picked up on it so quick thats a musician
Bro you gotta check out open the gate by Zach. My personal favorite
this song and the music beat is soo catchy! have this song on repeat on my Spotify
(Crazy!!)
It’s the best. I could never go back to a city. For me city is to visit, a small town is to live.
this is my fav song by him but its hard bc im such a big fan of him
Swear watching your reactions tonight on Zach a few of his songs have a Springsteen influence from the “wet” strumming notes to his initial verse cadence. Or are my ears crazy? Huge fan of his and your sincere reactions. Keep it rolling!
It’s amazing how fast you can pick up how to play a song. Love the videos.
you are unbelievable at guitar.
Tradesman. Zach Bryan. Do it! Ha! Love ur videos dude
I’ll never understand how some people can hear 10 seconds of a song and then repeat it on an instrument 😂😮💨
A lot of hours playing until my finger bled :)
Greatest day of my life, think you'll really enjoy that song and it has a video to go with it
How am I JUST seeing this! Thank you SO much for adding guitar help on this. I’ve been workin on this song for the last two weeks you just helped so much. Love this song. And love you, thank you for all this content for real. ❤

Zach would agree. One of his biggest inspirations is Isabell.
Hey bro they literally filmed this about two weeks ago maybe less he filmed this in my home town of marfa texas that opening hill is cherry hill in marfa the rodeo is in alpine texas its funny because I had just sung my rendition of his song something in the orange and the local coach showed him my video
it is crazt how you are able to pick up those cords so fast
Zach Bryan songs are too relatable.
You didn't have to go that hard in the beginning lol. Great start. You made me want to learn to play
@6:41 On the subject of lyricism. Please look up Wannabe by Dylan Schneider. That song is one of my favorites just because of how the lyric structure is. I think you would enjoy it.
His best song
So so so happy you did this reaction! ❤

I like your videos😊 and at around 9:05 mark - you are spot on! I just wish more younger souls would see their future instead of a supposed dead end 😢
"That small town bar scene
Where small vices kill your big dreams" = Heartbreaker
They made that song in my hometown Marfa texas 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Saw you at hard rock. Love the vids! Keep them coming!
I know all the lyric websites say make her nose bend but I think it's spin.. like when you drink too much and you get the spins. He was talking about how much whiskey was in the coke. Just the way I hear it 🤷♂️ lol
Please do “All I See is You” by Shane Smith and the Saints. Find the version where they are singing in the desert.
Hyped for this one!
Oklahoma City will blow you away
I no longer live in the small town I grew up in. Got a job in the city because you gotta do what you gotta do. My goal is to make it back to that small town one day.
Check out Jamie by zach Bryan it’s amazing
“So much whiskey in this coke it’ll make her nose bend”
I believe he’s simply artfully describing the amount of whiskey in her drink. He’s using the phrasing to describe how her drink is so strong she’ll recoil (or her nose will bend) at the smell of her own drink.
No cure, quitting time, the best day of my life.

Tabasco and Sweet tea by Cadillac three is a good mixture of country and rock
Since you have been reacting to allot of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers stuff recently.. I suggest you react to Jason Isbells “god dam lonely love” from the live from Alabama album.. such a raw amazing example of unbelievable song writing and his music lead me to the Childers and Zach Bryan’s of the world
You should try listening to some of Sturgil Simpson’s songs they’re super deep lyrically, “Turtles all the way down” and “Just let go”
Quite heavy dreams Zach Bryan
Zach sometimes writes 2 different scenes going on at the same time. Sort of how movies are when you have multiple characters in different places at the same time and the scenes go back and forth. It’s an interesting style for sure.
“Jamie” next please!!!
