Mexico: Neglected Boy Finds New Home at An SOS Village | SOS Children's Villages

Just a boy, José used to wake up at 4 a.m. to go out and beg for money on the streets. His mother, an alcoholic, forced him to do it. Living in an abusive and unstable home, José faced a hopeless future. But in 2008, at age 7, his life took a dramatic turn. That year, he was welcomed into an SOS Family at the SOS Village in Morelia, Mexico. Since then, he has flourished under the constant care of his SOS Mother and other members of his family.
