John I live right on the Tennessee River and the water is all the way up now..its time for me to put my kayak in the water. Thank you for the great videos.
Thank you! I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for bringing us along for your many fishing adventures, but also for your love for Christ and your not being afraid to share it with the world.
Awesome adventure John keep them up. My family is from East Tennessee Greeneville but I live in South Carolina Greenville so every once in a while I get to go home and I see what you see it is so beautiful and lush in the spring. You can see God’s art everywhere 😎
That overlook is in Va. You cross the Ky.- Va. state line on the walk from the parking lot to the overlook. There is a state line painted on the sidewalk. Great video.
That intro was beautiful. I'm a part time storm chaser during the spring and summer and for a second I thought I was watching a Pecos Hank video. Beautiful location! I have a "boat ramp" like that at one of my secret spots here in Arizona like that. Someone turned a sunken duck blind into a makeshift kayak dock. The crappie and largemouth LOVE it. Im sure the bluegil are there too but I haven't targeted them there yet.
Nice video John, thanks for the work, the water was way down, Some of the western dams have very little water behind them, lake Mead and Lake Powell are two at record lows.
Kingsport and Morris town are beautiful place's. Good work squeezing out those beautiful LMB's today. You made it work brother!! Keep on fishing and Rollin out the videos.
Certainly a cool little hole you found back in there. I used to fish a huge old gravel pit. A great clean creek has a small channel the feeds off and dumps into the gravel pit. Where that fresh water ran in is where you catch fish all day. There is also a little pool right at the end of that tributary off the main creek runs it. I seined it for bait one day and a sein of not only minnows but beautiful fingerling bass and blue gill. Aquarium size and it is so cool. Haven't been back in there in decades. I caught an inbred fish up there one day and I swear it was a cross between a catfish and small mouth. It had a cat fish body and top of it's head but it's jaws were webbed like a smallie.
Wild seeing that sketch boat ramp reminds me of one near Green River Lake Reservoir before the river and dam discharge. The houseboat graveyard makes for interesting structure fishing, a bit larger than old Christmas trees 🌲. Glad you caught some good ones. Blessings brother man
Definitely a different area than I've ever seen your fish John interesting wish the clouds would have lifted has been her long long timer since I've been in that area Won't be long you'll be slaying them right and left Nice video John
I loved the opening, I loved the fishing, that area looked like it could use a little love and care! I love the conversational way you take us on your adventure! Blessings to you John! Thanks for your videos! I hope to get out in -35 degree weather tomorrow looking for trout in SW PA.
Dude, people spend thousands of dollars on fish finders and you don't have one. Funny thing is, you catch a lot of fish and have fun doing it. Keep up the inspiring videos and messages, God bless and keep you.
As always love the content brother! I've started posting my Monday streams to talk scripture. I figured you being a man of God would appreciate it! God bless!
Love it. last year in early spring i fished a lake that was so flooded, the water was up into a campground, and we found bass on all the picnic tables. AWESOME- hit those picnic tables if you can boys!
Thanks for taking us along on the adventure, John! Even if you caught nothing, we love it! You getting four fish is probably four more than us mere mortal fisherman would get!! :-)
Over here fishing season hasn’t even started yet there’s still ice everywhere on every single lake it was great watching someone fish can’t wait till it starts over here I am now 16 so I will be driving around the fall time and going fishing so many places!!
John these are always the type of places that I found to be the best locations to find quality bass. The perfect places to find a limit real quick for a good start to a tournament. Great video once again buddy....God Bless and keep up the good work.
I guess that’s one way to add structures to a lake. Too bad the clouds rolled in at the overlook. In Oregon I lived in the Cascades above the fog line and enjoyed about 60 more sunny days a winter than the valley did. Looks like they are keeping it drawn down in anticipation of the spring run off. Lakes always look sad when they are like that. Southern Oregon lost quite a few fisheries to low water levels in the last few years. Couldn’t stand to stay and watch it dry up and burn.
The water level is just way down most of that boat ramp will be underwater whenever they left the water levels back up. There are places there that only have water three or four months out of the year at their dock you will see a lot of boats docks that are completely dry this time of year
Hey my name lavell crawford and I’m comedian /actor but fishing is is my first love and love your channel and I am subscriber my favorite thing is that you keep God first
Moving to South East Tennessee in a few months can't wait to fish the waters!! Iv lived in Michigan for 33years and never fished anywhere else so I'm really excited
i No where you was fishing at , nice little lake , about 30 min south of where i live at and good spot and a sunny day to get a nice scenic view , thanks for the videos
When I was down in East Tennessee back around New Year’s Eve time to see my gf. I live in Michigan and our water gets low sometimes. But man the lakes and rivers I saw there and how crazy low they were it was incredible to see
I have only fished that lake once. Lol we didnt have any luck at all. But it was beautiful there i always wanted to back. Lol. God bless you sir. You are getting live my dream.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😀🙂😊
So cool that you have the opportunity to fish so many different places. What is the model of boat you have? I'm interested in getting something for fishing.
Wow...you were up in my neck of the woods. I live just up the road in Harlan county, but I work in Middlesboro-Bell county. I was probably close by when you were up at the Pinnacle View in Cumberland Gap National Park. I still wish you would come up here and check out the headwaters of the Cumberland river and its original three forks here in Harlan and Bell county sometime.
Dude that lake is way low and has crazy structure. A lake with that kind of structure and that low makes you think there would be fish condensed everywhere. I lived in Tennessee for three years and one time from fort campbell I went driving to an unknown place and in this one spot I was driving next to the river and I pulled around on a spot that happened to be someone's driveway and I drove down it and this guys property was built into cliff on the side of the river. The side of the river was a rock wall and this guys driveway went down and into the rock and he had a little clearing into the rock. His whole yard was just a huge space or a hole cut into the rock, he had straight rock walls in a circle around his property and it opened up into the back where the river was which was very rocky. It was one if the coolest things I had ever seen. It was on the cumberland river up there.
Nature is what makes fishing Great. Glad you feel the same way. If it weren't for Gods Great gift of nature, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the gift that it brings. FISH!
Hey John, not gonna ask exactly where you were, but did you go down Powell Valley and turn down by the bank and post office. Way down the holler. The water level is sooooo low right now. Yeah, all those old boats were left for artificial structure. Been a while since I have fished on Norris, but spent many days of my youth at several of the Upper lake docks. Glad to see you making your way farther North in your pursuits of the aquatic nature. From Cumberland Gap, I live only about 45 minutes Northeast in Harlan Co., Ky. right on the Upper Cumberland River headwaters. We have had rain about 3 or 4 days this week, so the river and tributaries are extremely muddy. Hope you can come back to the National Park later after it warms up, the views from the overlook are super and I know your viewers would enjoy that. We also have several small lakes that I like to fish at. Check out Martin's Fork Lake and Dam and Cranks Creek Lake on Google. I always love it when you do those great musical and driving footage intros. As always, have fun, but stay safe Brother ! Randy B.
Anybody know the story behind the abandoned houseboats? That's a sad sight. They must have been loved at some time. Good video, John. I envy you southern guys for your long fishing season. I'm still up to my butt in snow.
I'm a new subscriber and I have enjoyed the few videos I've watched so far. Question for you...what is the fish measuring board that you're using??? Thank you 🙌🏻

I love driving around there and fishing sometimes below the dam. Hopefully you did good on the tournament.
