Total bull..... Racial disharmony has nothing to do with him, but more to do with opportunistic politicians of UNP as well as Tamil politicians before him and after exploiting false patriotism to get into power. SWRD was trying to rectify long standing grievances of Sinhala people too quickly due to his lack of understanding and vision. But, he had enough vision to know it had to be done. He was just too hasty at it because of the pressure from the powerful elite that elected him(not the ordinary people). He knew it was not wise to force Tamils and Burghers that were privileged under colonial rule to learn Sinhala, that's why he allowed Tamil use for Tamil people as well.

He ruined the country by introducing 'Sinhala only' act.Even his daughter Sunethra recently confirmed my view at a Tv interview.When English was the state language Sinhalese and Tamils were united,but consequent to the act they were devided.L.T.T.E. was the classic example.Educated Tamils left the country.If he was not assassinated he would have ruined the country in the 1950s itself.Some more to say,but no time to waste.
