I feel like we're high-schoolers talking about hot men we see in portraits in art class. As a Visual Arts student, that's what I like to do in art history class lol
In my Early Netherlandish Art class in undergrad, we were doing an essay exam and in the side column I made a note about how one guy looked like Garth Brooks in Medieval clothing...my professor brought it up in class the following week about how someone semi-ruined his favorite portraits now because of comparing it to Garth Brooks and I was in the back of the class going #sorrynotsorry 😎😂
So I worked in a house museum that had a portrait of a young gentleman from 1819. I used to call him my Regency Boyfriend. Because he was FINE. And always distracted me while giving tours. It didn’t help that he was in one of the first rooms on the main floor, so I had a lot of tour to get through after that. 😂

Ok, but is it weird that of all the arguments out there to watch Bridgerton, THIS VERY VIDEO is the one that sounds the most convincing to me right now?
What was IN that TEA, Abby?? Was it pure tea? If the cap wasn’t tied, it would be better but we know that wasn’t how they wore it. I don’t know why they thought it was cute either. They were all on drugs.
I seriously considered making that tea a hot toddy, but I realized that between the massive flush that I would get and not having an audience to bounce my awful humor off of, it would probably result in me rambling and snorting to myself instead of actually talking to the camera. lololol one day I'll do a drunken dress history 😂🤣
Maybe all the laudanum that people in that era consumed made them want to wear something approximating a night cap all the time, because they were eternally sleepy.

I didn’t know I needed this video but thank you Abby 😂
This is A+ content and I would not be mad if you made more of it 😂 One of my favorite tumblrs of all time, still existent but no longer active sadly, is aptly named My Daguerreotype Boyfriend and served a similar purpose
The little innocence cap, sipping tea like you have added a good slug of good bourbon, having to wipe that occasional bit of drool off the corner of your mouth, you had me rolling…!
I think this video perfectly summed up my Valentine’s Day. Thank you for making a video I never knew I needed 😂😂
I am screaaaaaaaming!!!! the mutton chops guys are my type but that guy with the pants...big D energy there in every sense P.s. I love your little hat its very cute
Absolutely hilarious. :-D I have definitely been missing a trick when it comes to men's apparel in Regency paintings......
Lady Thirstydown!!🤣🤣🤣 And the gummy bears on the dish for tea. I'm dying laughing....and the content hasn't even started yet. This is the quality Regency humor I'm here for. Thank you Abby!!!
This... This gave me LIFE 🤩 OMG I didn't expect half of this 🙌🏻
Thanks for a fantastic video 🤣 excellent use for the rule of thirds!👀
this was hilarious and delightful through and through! and i actually love the cap--not even ironically--because i can picture one of the bennett ladies wearing it. your styling of it is adorable with the curls!! xoxoxoxoxo
So much fun. Thanks for the chuckles!
I love that you can make yourself, editing Abby, laugh so hard!
My favorite video yet. Thank you!!!
I've been depressed this week... And this made me laugh so much and feel so much better... I love you Abby!! Keep doing your thing cause lord... You are so fun!!
Girl, what’s in your tea! This was so fun! Thanks!
Um... great video... loved that pink color... enjoyed your humor and vibe... can I get some of that tea???
This was great. Your outfit kinda reminds me of a munchkin from the wizard of oz with your hair tucked in. I would love to see you comment on regency ladies portraits next. I love hearing your opinions
