If we look at god as a black box that used to justify a system designed by priests, what happens if we remove god from the equation? The system loses the justification and the priests lose their job. Before we do that we need to come up with another justification and it better be good - and the new system based on it better be good as well. That is exactly the current problem though. Atheists in politics and philosophy who claim to know what is good and what is bad only managed to turn traditional values around so far: Good became bad and bad became good.
Because the false concept of a god is integrated in our societies turning otherwise intelligent people into idiots who will do and say the most rediculous things that directly affect reality. It creeps into politics and schools where it definitely doesn't belong and people like Ricky and many intellectuals have to fight back against these cults . Religion poisons everything , always has and always will .
