    Hey just so you know, wearing a claw clip while you’re driving is super dangerous! If you wreck, it’ll go into your skull. Love the video!!

    I wish I could go into my classroom a little at a time during the summer. We only get a few days before the school year starts, which leaves me exhausted at the beginning of the year.

      Same. And with two little kids and a mini homestead… I’m exhausted enough as it is 😂

    I totally agree with you! I am much less stressed when I do a little at a time!

      Yes! And I get to “live with it” a little bit before my school year even starts. So usually I’m making changes several times before the kids ever show up 😂

    Your summer work/home life plan sounds awesome! May I suggest combining your small group area and teacher desk? Teacher desk against the wall and small group table facing out in front of desk. Then library or tall table where small group table is now.

      That’s my plan for the next school year! I already got rid of my big teacher desk. Bought a small one which will go against the wall. Switched kidney small group table for 2 long narrow tables, which I will place L shape. Can’t wait until 8/1 so I can get back and lay everything out the way I’ve envisioned.

    If you want to put something on your blackboard, you could get some magnets from the dollar tree and hot glue it onto the contact paper that you have on the board and hot glue a magnet onto a poster or something that you might want to add. That way you could have a semi-magnetic board. Just an idea.

      My first classroom had four walls of chalkboards. Magnets were my friends😂

      That is such a good idea! Thank you!

    I use an iPad and an Apple TV to project from anywhere in the room. You can scan the document and use a stylus or get a holder that turns the iPad (or even a phone) into a document camera.

      Our IMSE trainer for Orton-Gillingham had that and we were all so impressed! Haha. I definitely loved that setup

    You had to move the furniture? I feel the pain of outlets. They upgraded and added plugs for technology. However in the library I had to run a cord from my office to use my technology. And I used technology with every class.

      @lifebeautifullyimperfect  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. We have really small school- we say we’re tiny, but mighty- and only two female custodians that do everything. So it’s all hands on deck when it comes to moving furniture in and out.
      I feel like school designers (if that’s even a thing 😂) should be informed that we need more outlets. Like 10, minimum.

    Can you not ask your It guys or site team to run another HDMI to your projector.
    You have suspended ceiling so it would just be the case of moving some tiles running it through the ceiling and dripping it down at the front for you document camera, wouldn’t take anymore than 5-10 minutes to do it.
    I use to be an IT guy before going into teaching very easy especially with the type of ceiling you have.
    If not, you could always get a HDMI extender or a large hdmi lead if you have wall connection and run it to the front with that orange cord.
    M should be pretty easy fix.

      We’ve been out a little over a month. But yes! I like to do my setup slowly over a few weeks instead of a week of really long days!

    Do you teach in a Christian school? I noticed the 1 Corinthians art.

      I don’t! That’s just my own personal decor that I keep in my area.

    Wait a minute y’all have to move furniture at your school for them to wax…we don’t do that in my district 😮😮😮

    • @lifebeautifullyimperfect
      @lifebeautifullyimperfect  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Really!? Do they just wax around the furniture? In my last district, they took everything out to wax, but the custodial staff did it. It was also a much larger district… so they paid an outside company.
