I genuinely feel that in all the Akshay movies that are good, actors like Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav have elevated his performance. Even though Govinda movies also had actors like Kader Khan and Shakti Kapoor, he literally carried those movies.
Also, in my opinion, Kishore Kumar was the best comedic lead actor, hands down.

On Govinda vs Akshay, I love both. One movie where they have acted together is Bhagam bhai, I feel Govinda stole the show there. However, it's hard to compare these 2 legends as there careers as comedy heroes were in 2 different decades. Govinda was a comical hero in 90s vs Akshay in 2000s
@43:49 I have never heard or watched the original song but when I watched the remix video specifically the ponytail step I was honestly thinking is she asking for a noose to hang herself which to me was very dark.

Sholay - it was screened in PVR Saket in 3D many years ago. Thr attention to detail at a time when there was no HD translated beautifully in 3D big screen. That's some movie

Relating to Sahil's "mind broke" moment, I felt very sad (and somewhat angry) when I found out that "Raja ko Rani se pyaar ho gaya..." is actually The Godfather's theme music. WT actual F!!!

Not comedy - but acting wise…. Govinda had a great range. He had zero inhibitions. The characters he used to adapt to - the scene of “takkar pehelwan” - I can’t stop laughing.
Kaun story line is very similar to The house of yellow carpet 1983 italian movie.

The issue with Dhoom 3 and Kick was these films went against their premise- there was no need to give a reason for the heists. But all three Dhoom and Race 1 are great to watch.

@@soniyashrestha2521 A lot of people is in need of fully functional brain then. Again I said music likings are not the issue here, hating because of 2.0 is. Divya Khosla Kumar is another reason, she is being a soft target to hate upon on internet because of her background. Compared to the original Yaad Piya ki 2.0 is nowhere near shit because if Falguni Pathak was from todays generation she and her music would have been hated more than DKKs songs. Most importantly you should re-evaluate your choice of words and music also.
Mithya (2008) is my favorite classic. It's funny and sad at the same time.

And… going about the Hindi songs being better than originals….. there two cases - one where it’s true and other where both are just too apart in terms of energy but equally good (for me) and they are from the same movie - Maine Pyaar Kiya. Aate Jaate Haste Gaate is better than I just called. While mere rang me and it’s the final count down are both equally good

The scene after the song "zaraa sa jhum lun mai" was the worst.
1. A girl's dignity is important to her irrespective of her nationality. Any woman who is sexually harassed, whether Indian, British, Spanish or Kenyan, will feel traumatized.
2. Indian women also have desires and sexual needs. Treat them like normal humans.
3. Simran wasn't an Indian, she was British.
4. You can have all the fun with Spanish women but "hindustani aurat" has to maintain her "izzat". Maybe, the Spanish girl dumped Raj because he was a creep. If she was racist, she wouldn't date him in the first place.

One more Unpopular opinion Mahesh Bhatt is one of the greatest Directors in Indian Cinema because that guy has never kept one genre he has made from Tragedy to Comedy, from Family Entertainer to thriller.
