I grew up in hyderabad during the communal fights in the 90s...we had a sikh neighbor ..they were so kind and helpful. They were like our extended family. Our father was away and we were 6 small kids living alone with mom. That sikh family offered so much support to my mom and us. That kindness will never be forgotten
He handled the controversial question so well !!! He was calm and clear. He just spoke his mind. There is a feeling when you say something in your mother tongue. Alag sa josh a jata hai. Proud to be panjabi Indian ❤️🇮🇳

honest suggestion= diljit really wanted to open up about what really changed him in 2020 and tried like 5-6 times to take you deeper into that direction but guess you couldn't take the cue or did not want to go there which might be disrespectful for the guest too. Was really looking forward to know what matters to him now if not money which again he would've answered deeper ques if you would have taken the cue. appreciation= diljit has never ever opened up this much and talked this freely ever so kudos to you for opening him up like that. Was a lovely episode.
Would knowing his private life actually be enough. It will be couple of facts and once we find out inadvertently we tend to make our own conclusions on why he is how he is. If we really respect him as an entertainer shouldn’t we respect and bow down to his commitment to keeping his family and private life separate? As a young punjabi it is honestly very good and validating to see the punjabi representation Diljit has brought all around the world. Yes we are indians and yes he does represent India but it is also true that even in Indian bollywood and fame there is not enough representation of punjabis. And the representation that is there and is reflected is mainly in a negetive sense, of punjabis being alcoholics, too loud and vocal with abuse, doing illegal things etc. And it is disheartening to see that, so when Diljit represents punjabis in their truest and purest form, a represenation of humanity and the grey personalities of humans especially punjabis. It is validating and conformatory, it is an idea, a thought and more so now a reality that we too as a community are seen and we too are represented not only in a negative way but positive way as well. It is an eye opener all in all and it is amazing. He will forever represent India but firstly, he is man of punjab, forever and always.

As a young punjabi it is honestly very good and validating to see the punjabi representation Diljit has brought all around the world. Yes we are indians and yes he does represent India but it is also true that even in Indian bollywood and fame there is not enough representation of punjabis. And the representation that is there and is reflected is mainly in a negetive sense, of punjabis being alcoholics, too loud and vocal with abuse, doing illegal things etc. And it is disheartening to see that, so when Diljit represents punjabis in their truest and purest form, a represenation of humanity and the grey personalities of humans especially punjabis. It is validating and conformatory, it is an idea, a thought and more so now a reality that we too as a community are seen and we too are represented not only in a negative way but positive way as well. It is an eye opener all in all and it is amazing. He will forever represent India but firstly, he is man of punjab, forever and always.
