I watch many tech videos on TH-cam and I find yours to be the most useful. Others spend so much time on background music, video production and the content itself is not useful. I have made a couple of purchases after watching your videos which I never did after watching videos from other popular tech TH-camrs. And I’m also happy with those purchases. Erase feature comes in very handy, but just got the switcheasy pencil you recommended just for note taking. Loving it so far.

How to set up eraser mode
I purchased the Apple Pencil along with this one yesterday. I actually brought the Apple Pencil back because I loved the functionality of this one. The rubber stylus on the other side made the difference. You don’t have to use your finger to swipe and go home. You can actually keep the stylus in your hand and never use your finger. Apple Pencil don’t allow that convenience

By the way. If you tilt the zagg side ways while writing. It will bold your writing. That’s the work around for not having pressure sensitivity.
I saw this stocked at my local Apple authorized retailer and it's really interesting, so I looked for reviews. Thanks for the very thorough video. I don't want to give more money to Apple than necessary, and at half the price of the Apple Pencil, I can probably try to work around not having pressure sensitivity and wireless charging.
No wireless charging kills it for me. Need a black Apple Pencil.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9, got my stylus from Zagg this week, found discount codes, and was pleasantly surprised that the stylus end, not the tip, works really well on the Z Fold2 phone! I'm glad you mentioned to disconnect your apple pencil. Spent an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working with my iPad.

That eraser feature it’s what’s missing in the Apple Pencil. Really wish they would add that! I would buy this just for that feature alone.
If you have a first gen apple pencil, you can get a replacement cap with a rubber stylus tip on it, so it would essentially work similarly to this.
The double tap to switch to eraser on 2nd gen Apple Pencil is so much faster than flipping this stylus around. Believe me, I have one. It seems that some people are unaware of the feature.

agree, having to tap it twice all the time is annoying, as I am more used to just instinctively turn it around.

It’s worth it. Also, Zagg is great with warranty handling. The only downside is finding replacement tips without having to file a warranty claim.
@@cdrchrrs this is the reason why it isnt worth it. Shipping your stylus to them and back costs as much as half a new stylus. And each time you ship the stylus you can’t work. I’m very disappointed in this product since I was stupid enough to buy it💔

Very nice stylus and would work for me most of the time, good price--BUT I have the Pencil 1 (bought for original Ipad Pro 12.9) that I use with my Mini--and it drives me crazy because I have to charge it relatively often (I don't charge through the port). One of the things I love about my Pencil 2 is that it is always charged--I never have to stop and charge it (I do use the Pencil quite a bit). I do really like the eraser end although you can choose to use double tap to switch between writing and erase on Pencil 2.
Brilliant video! I've watched several on apple pencil alts and yours are by far the best. Only thing I'd request (as your opinion on this is a weighty one) for your subscribers, is to comment on what you'd recommend out of Zagg, switcheasy, TiMOVO and RaserBasilisk, among any others you have reviewed. I own the Zagg model (using it right now) and a JamJake model. I had to return the Switcheasy due to problems finding replacement tips and bad customer service.
no offense but please don’t look down on pressure sensitivity like that! many students rely on it for: drawing, note taking, calligraphy and more! if u can find a pencil that has it that would be amazing!
heyy!! this might be late but the adonit note plus does come with pressure sensitivity, but it only works for spesific apps which they listed on their website
almost all pencils other then the Apple Pencil itself don’t have pressure sensitivity because at that point I’d just be dumb for apple to allow 3rd party integration to that extent… the closest ur getting is Logitech crayon

@@lamiafarjana1990 it doesn’t have pressure sensibility but when you tilt the pen it simulates 2 pressure levels

I have a question. Can it work with samsung tablets that have spens?
The erasing function and the tilt is what makes this pencil better than the rest, as I come from drawing tablets and before paper drawing, sadly it does work only with procreate, at least of the ones I have try.
I work with fresco, because you know is better for professional work and the ability to switch around other adobe products because of the cloud, and I am not sure about the half price vs 2 and a half pressure points from the apple pen (not like the 2 and a half pressure points from the apple pen can compete with drawing pads and tablets, but you know they are expensive.
If they would make the erasing function work in fresco I would prefer the zagg over an apple pen, but at the moment I have my kid use it and I use the apple pen.
Does the “eraser” feature work in other applications (ie Notes) ?
Probably not because procreate has a specific feature where you can use your “finger” to erase and in this case you can just use the other side of this pencil to erase. As far as I know, no other application has this feature
Right this is only for Procreate. It mimmicks the finger so it erases

Tip size is about the same. Writing is just as fluid and accurate even whe writing small

You have to be using procreate and have the settings on erase with finger.

This only works in Procreate. You can set it to finger erase and the back acts as an eraser
