YaBoiKarl I love it in my opinion. I know there’s nothing “realistic” about Battlefield but it feels like the most realistic version of a battle in Western Europe during the German Blitz, seeing that most battles happened at long range and you have to utilize infantry and tanks as one unit together to be successful. It also gives the defenders a really good opportunity for a legitimate anti-tank defense.
How amazing would the D-Day landings be in the operations section like you have to constantly move up the beach and the coast line taking the objectives and moving up, I would love that
I actually love fjell 456, flying in that map is extremely fun, and even running around as a soldier is really fun, especially when u are able to flank around them
I remember when people praised Battlefield 3s Armored Shield map (the biggest map ever back then) and now people are shitting on maps like Panzerstorm or Hamada... I love Hamada conquest, leveled up all my tanks there
I hated that whole DLC. The maps were big, but lacked any substance. They completely missed the point of why Firestorm, Caspian Border, and Oman were so popular.
It's funny how my favourite maps are opposites from what you think, lol. I find Hamada and Panzerstorm really fun and enjoyable, they are the most "Battlefield Themed" maps just like Al Sundan, which means they are big, opened, lots of infantry and vehicle play. Many people who don't like them got used to small maps or atleast not as "combined arms" as the old Battlefield. My least favourite is definitelly Underground... Everyone either uses one of 3 things, MMGs (camping), Shotguns or those Dumb noob friendly Extended Mag Suomis and Thompsons. I liked Fort de Vaux from BF1 more, DESPITE nade spam.

@@jackchristian9854 I personally don't think a lot of thought went into it. There is three flags, and one team usually dominates while the other usually quits out. It's really the only map that has consistently had that problem in my experience.
I hate how the meta of Battlefield is shifting. It used to always be about huge maps focused on vehicle play. Now half the player base wants small CoD maps so they can run n gun. They ruin this franchise like a cancer.
Not gonna lie, I really enjoy Panzerstorm. There's so many vehicle slots, and I think the aircraft gameplay is satisfying on such a flat map. It can be a pain to go from flag to flag, but I really enjoy the firefights that erupt between flags and at them.
The last sector of Iwo Jima is probably the best sector of any breakthrough map in the game. The fighting on the hilltop of Mt Siribachi is fantastic with the chaotic artillery and tanks pushing forward.
Whaaaat Hamada and Fjell are so fun, Fjell is great for air combat and hamada has a good mix of open areas for vehicles and close quarters for infantry. But at least I think we can all agree Arras is fantastic, especially on Outpost.

Infantry have PLENTY of chance to fight back, shit players just get annoyed bc having to look up on top of left and right adds an extra dimension of complexity to the game. There's AA all over the map and since there isn't a single land vehicle there is absolutely no reason for anyone to carry a rocket launcher over a flieger. Or better yet just learn to fly. The best counter to a dominating jet pilot is another good pilot (it's also the most fun). But people would rather just complain and moan about how it is unfair. Combined arms is what BF is about, air combat is just as important as infantry or any other playstyle. Only major issue I see with Fjell is bombers ability to nuke half the team at the start of the round. THAT was definitely a dumb design decision, they should have just made jets spawn like 15 seconds after everyone else or something.
To be honest i really enjoy panzer storm because it has a really cool setting and it has a realistic feel to it I agree with how it is focused towards vehicles but that is kind of what battlefield is all about ( large scale battles with many vehicles ) Just my opinion idk
Narvik is not only my favorite bf5 map, but imo my favorite bf map ever made. It's absolutely perfect as it's perfectly suited for any playstyle. Plus nothing is funner then sniping people with the stationary anti tank guns.
BFV map designers were just like: "Remember that shitty Sinai Desert map from BF1? Recolour it with less cover, worse visibility and copy paste it 10 times"

3:07 Devastation was the first map I played when I first started, and in my opinion, it is a pretty decent map. But, if you have a tank, it is living hell. There's so much broken stuff everywhere and you could barely move. so Devastation is a 9.9 for me
i completely agree with you for the first 2 map (iwo jima and pacific storm): beautiful maps, who saved bf after a disastrous year... then it came patch 5.2 :( .... for the others maps i don't have a ranking... i like and i hate all in the same way
I love Pacific Storm, but I hate Iwo Jima as A BATTLEFIELD MAP, the atmosphere on it is great indeed and it has that WWII feeling but in terms of gameplay it’s just horrendous… great video though!

I love Panzerstorm because it is massive and has lots of armoured fighting, it felt like an actual war and a massive battle like WW2 should be, the Eastern Front should be filled with armoured fighting, dare I say it should have 6 or 7 tanks as a minimum and Kursk, 10 or 12 tanks and should be gigantic, but I feel the BF community would hate that because it’s not ‘infantry friendly’, my response is this is the Eastern Front, it should, nay needs to be a grindy hell for infantry

Panzer is one of my favs as infantry , because it is a realistic field that would be seen in ww2 ground battle
The maps are terrible. Why play this when you can play bf4 with huge maps, weapons and vehicles.

I think I have to disagree with Pacific Storm being best on Breakthrough. I think it’s one of the best laid out conquest maps in the game.

Playing breakthrough on provence is the best thing in bf5, it has an amazing atmosphere, especially at sunset
