Idk, the drauger is cool but I just wish they added some boats or something to the game. There is no naval aspect which is kind of sad
They fumbled so much with this game. Only 1 jet until 3 years after launch and no naval vehicles? Insane.

Yeah exactly, I mean the no-pats are on a boat and London is canonically flooded. It would’ve been cool to see some more urban maps or maybe a map on the no-pat ship
The Draugr Stealth Bomber needs flares, or for the jammer to stop ALL lock-ons, even from infantry stingers or jet radar missiles.
It's stealth mode should work exactly like the stealth helicopter's.

Agreed. Flying low to avoid lock-ons but high enough to not crash til you're outta range is a recipe for disaster lol
It doesnt exactly need flares, increase the time it takes to lock on to the thing by two or three times and it will be playable without the flares, radar jammer would work fine then
it just shows the devs don't know what they are doing

The Draugr is squishy. At first, you have pick soft targets or go after weakened choppers and tanks. The unlock requirements imho are a bit much for a bomber that starts with a bomb that doesn't exactly kill
It seem like that the camouflage is meant to compensate for it, and I can kinda see it( us it on you approach, of go nap of the earth after your bombing run)
@@Draga-js1hdthe camo doesn't block damage or lock ons and it takes over 200 kills to unlock (can't remember exactly how many)
@damienmcdonald7610 Closer to 400 iirc. No countermeasures is also a warning. The stealth choppers have flares, but not the draugr? Weird balance choice, but I guess it's meant for more air to ground support
@@SsgtTuckerI’ve unlocked everything and used it a fair bit, it’s a great vehicle and slowly becoming one of my favs.
Yeah it made me really sad when I unlocked it and couldn’t even really bomb with it, and I feel forced to cheat and play against ai to unlock or a 1000% damage server with how many kills you need to unlock the stuff
5:17 is *pure* BF. You're low health, hunkering down, a jet flies low just overhead. Hitting that RPG flick on a helo. Some random guy parachutes over.
as someone who's never played a Battlefield game before this game looks super fun
@@anti-tryhardbro it really is. It’s a different experience. If you have a PC try hoping on battlefield 3 if possible? If not then definitely battlefield 4. I play it on my PC all the time. BF4, BF1, BF5, BF3 all amazing games in their own regard. Had some great memories with the series dating all the way back to the Xbox 360 with my mate who is no longer with us. Even this game can be fun

@@FloreFaune hey man thanks for the tip, i was more so talking about Battlefield 2042 specifically, i'm less interested in the WW2 stuff, you don't get to fly stealth bombers in those after all :)

Would love your next 2042 video (or like just at some point) to be sort of a port-mortem on the game overall. Where you felt it missed the mark and when, where you think EA/DICE made smart decisions, things they should carry from 2042 into the next game and what they should abandon, etc. Not just to dump on the game but to collect almost three years worth of thoughts into something concise for the devs to chew on. Just a thought, always appreciate your takes.

I do like control as a conquest alternative, breakthrough and rush are great but they’re more competitive focused and a very different experience, think control fills a gap, hope they keep it around
I wish the point system for vehicles was in all game modes. Definitely the way to go in the next battlefield. Still drives me nuts in bf4 when people just spam certain vehicles in the spawn screen

@ChillingDogYT honestly I couldn't tell you. Haven't really touched 2042 I a while. But I'd imagine it would be something like the heroes in battlefront 2. Earn battle points by playing the match. Get enough to get a vehicle (different points depending on the vehicle). Use vehicle if available (and don't earn battle points while using the vehicle so you can't just constantly keep hogging them). I assume it's something like that

I'd prefer to be able to grab a vehicle immediately when I see my team is in trouble, rather than trying to play against a stacked enemy team as infantry before I can get a vehicle. Being able to grab a vehicle quickly and setting the tone of the game for your team by eliminating high value targets is great stuff.
@xanderabbey8529 yeah not having a vehicle at the beginning does suck. Maybe if each player started with enough points for one vehicle, it would be better
This is what DICE did on SW Battlefront 2. 'Heroes' and vics are locked behind points. Until you have enough points, you are a regular joe with the class system. As far as I remember, you cant bail out of your vics.
The XM is my dirty little secret, it used to be even stronger when it was introduced.
You cant bail out because youre not in it, its a drone. It would be operated from a base by sattelite and/or linked to a fighter wing.
The 40 round mag increases rate of fire too! That strife is badass
blowing out the ceiling would actually be a great idea, even if the enemy did not die but was damaged from falling down though the floor, or a fire fight now possible between that roof and the inside of the building.
LMG reminds me of the AWS from BF4
The problem with 2042 for me is the gunplay. It's way too easy to just beam someone with an smg from 200m away.
It's much easier to attract players when there are less mechanics, but focused on more fun
The problem is the game is terrible in every aspect.
i think this is worse fps of all time. lol. So they attract some new players while 99.9 percent of og fans quit. This is by far the worst fps ever made.

To all of you. We have different taste in what makes gameplay fun... You want more realism go and play Hll of squad lol or other games BF is never meant to be like hardcore shooter. Cod is more arcade then bf. But ten with a sbmm in cod the gameplay sucks imo. I like bf2042 because you don't need to think. But hll or. Squad is kinda a different kind of gameplay

The *Stealth Bomber* really makes for some cool _Cinematic_ shots like 4:30 5:16 & 7:30 🤯 Its sleek, almost _alien_ 👽 design makes me wish for a more Sci-Fi 🪐 BF game in the Future...
Anyway, if this is one of your last BF2042 vids, i just want to say THANK YOU, Jack!🏆🏆 This game came out in the *worst way* 🤮 but you were one of the few content creators out there who managed to pump-out fun, enjoyable content with it for the last 3 years. Here's hoping the next _Battlefield_ (or *_Battlefront_* 😬) is a *much better* game, making your job easier 😁👍 Cheers 🎆

The draugr is cool, but, it's the fact you have to grind harder for all the stuff worse than a jet, and it's made of paper.

The jet part in the back of the Drone looks like it would be able to angle down so it can hover which would actually make it useful for me since for some reason in 2042 I cannot fly vehicles for the life of me by the time i line up a target im too slow to pull out of the dive and crash. Even after going to max height to do it.
Are you putting on throttle when you pull out of the dive

@@darkdraco02 sorry man, my only other recommendation would be to try diving at a less steep angle, a lot of TH-camrs will show them diving at 90° straight down and still pull out of it but they make it look too easy, I would start off trying to dive at a 30° to 45° angle and once you get that down increase to about 60°, and then finally try the 90°, good luck man I hope this helps and you get it figured out

You can’t bail out because it’s a remote controlled drone. It’s a great addition to the game!

Control Unlocked mode is awesome, lets u play all guns n vechicle attachments/upgrades unlocked, lets u try out everything, which made me realize that theres actually lots of cool/fun stuff in this game, good thing i didnt hop on the hate train, this mode is only available for a limited time so i recommend checking it out before it's not around anymore

JDAM will use laser guidance but the fact it doesn't delete a tank is bizarre it would IRL.
Well... We don't magically heal IRL from medical boxes either. That's just battlefield gameplay vs realism

Didn't they implement some sort of score-equalizing system? Every match I had in 2042, the score of both teams was always within like 50-100 points.
With the JDAM you gotta go high and use the camera sight it works lovely I got 4 vehicles in the first round I used them

I'd buy the game if that bomber can be equipped with MOAB's.
The Draugr is a drone technically, which is why you can't bail out of it, because you're not really "in" it. Obviously for consistency you still get a kill (I think) when you destroy one, and it still counts as a death.

If flares aren't added, it needs to have the extended lock on from bf4 intrinsically and maybe a shorter max distance lock, something. Because right now, you may as well just run a jet with anti tank and explosive guns.

Really hoping for naval combat to come back in the next battlefield game. It’s been missing like crazy since bf1 and even then it wasn’t that spectacular. Imagine being able to control entire destroyers and submarines in a battlefield game that just sounds so cool.
control has a similar points system to bf2 (2017) I feel like it would a good game mode for future battlefield games

I like it, but the unlock reqs are nuts. You basically need to grind air superiority or prepare to get insta-killed by AA missiles every other spawn. Also, the default HE guns are better for dogfighting if you can lead them.
why aren't more people playing this game? they really did do a great job and turned this ship around. better late than never? great games jack.
just too many games out nowadays, crazy to think this game still gets 17k peak on steam.
because they announced the end of the life cycle for this game and never really achieved to have a new hype. Their life service is just drip feeding the bare minimum of content over months. And of course there are way better alternatives even if you want something similar to battlefield.

Nope, because they dont want to anger the infantry casuals. It has no defense.
When he got the air-to-air kill it looked like the enemy flared. Someone else said the progression tree for it was weird, so it could be that flares are a later unlock for it. Seems like a weird choice otherwise since it can't really loiter low or behind cover
You need ground radar on jack, 1st person view, opo radar coming in at an angle, drop jdam while zoomed in on target nd it will look on, switch to guns n you can finish most stuff in one pass. Down side is everybody is running with stingers now. I've nearly got 1000 kills with it.

Run the camo and jammer with the jdam and missles. I have gone whole matches without being killed. Use the below radar to break lock ons
Unfortunately you are still a free kill for stingers or lock ons with soflam. The jammer needs to counter any form of lock on, otherwise it just depends on the enemies when the fun stops
Draugr on controller sux in conquest modes. It’s ok in air superiority but I gave up on it and I maxed it out
The Stealth bomber has no counter measures? That's very odd. Every aircraft has some type of counter measure to defeat lock ons.
