    The shoot itself is inspiring. The photos, not so much. I would have liked to have seen more of the pictures that we saw you take in the video.

    Thank you for the excellent tips on directing a bride through poses, I look forward to applying this! One caveat though, male photographers should be extra careful, and ask permission before touching their female model. But otherwise, thank you for this excellent content!

    Jana, I love this and I find it super helpful! I would really love to see something longer on posing bride/ bride and groom (ones that are awkward and not natural with the camera). I want to learn some more posing techniques, this video has been the best by far. THANKS.

    What I'd like to know: what does the groom do during the time you shoot the bride? Is he usually with you, watching, or do you do them separately?
    Also, can you do a video on posing grooms? Thanks X

    Great posing tips. I wonder how accurate focus and recompose is when the subject was in motion considering that is a 1.2 lens.

    Jana, are u using backing button focusing and AI servo mode ? or just focusing and recompose ?

    • @Kelseybeee

      It looked like she was using autofocus to focus on the face and recompose.

    • @Clydesdale2045
      @Clydesdale2045 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I shoot Nikon, in my experience the camera needs to be in continuous autofocus (that's what Nikon calls it, if Canon calls it AI servo mode... not a very user friendly name). In that mode the camera tracks the motion of the subject and will predict where it will be when the shutter is pressed assuming the subject continues to travel in the same direction/speed. It does a pretty good job of guessing where the subject will be when you press the shutter. The only other way, is some camera's can be set to manual focus but won't take a picture unless in focus. Then, you manually focus ahead of your subject, hold the shutter down, and have them walk towards you and the moment they walk into focus your camera will take the picture. Single focus and recompose doesn't work with moving subjects, particularly close ones unless using say F11+ but usually portraits you want F1.4-F5.6 and your only chance is typically continuous autofocus if the subject is moving towards/away from the camera.
