    How do you get couples to pose so naturally! I've done couples shoots where it's almost like pulling teeth to get them comfortable to get close to one another 🤔

  • @emilygrace1960

    Hey Jessica! ...nobody teaches this and it's soooo frustrating to me. I know my way around a camera pretty well, but some of these more technical types of tricks and effects are things I still have yet to conquer and really figure out. THANK YOU soooo much for doing this for us!! I would sure give the world for you to also do a couple of videos teaching us how to photograph sparkler exits, light trails with wedding reception dance photos, how to photograph those cigar smoke photos of the guys on wedding day, and how to get that hair spray shot when the bride is getting ready. I'd also love to learn how to do some of those trick photos that so many of you do on wedding days - the reflection, shooting through things, bokeh lights, ring shots with an extra fun flair, etc. A super fun photographer that does a lot of this stuff is Jason Martin with Concept Photography. This guy has some super cool photography tricks and effects and I still have yet to figure out how he does a lot of them.

    Already learned so much if you Jessica. There are so many photographers out there who take soooo much money for this things you show for free. As if it s not about art no more but how to get more money in seconds. But in your eyes I see that passion they don't have. Thanks Jessica.

  • @tazrahman2125

    Lovely atmospheric work Jessica! Classic poses as well and you have such a friendly way of talking to the camera.
    I hope you don't mind me saying this (delete if inappropriate), just a simple off camera flash (no more than $150 dollars extra for the cheapest YN branded triggers and the cheap flash) would have added the facial definition you have added in Lighroom/Photoshop later, but leaving more detail on them. This was the advice I was given when I started out a few years ago.
    I personally recommend (particularly to anyone just starting out on couple portraits) to keeping the camera's metering mode to take account of the entire scene, so keep it to matrix which is the default for most, and then light up the faces with a simple off camera flash. Very simple but effective setup and definitely possible to carry out on a budget.

    This video was great. Would you suggest this lens over the 24-70mm for shooting weddings? I already own a 50mm 1.4, but I'm helping out with a wedding this weekend, really just playing the background. I wanted to rent a longer lens to gain more experience with, but can't decide between the 35mm 1.4 or the 24-70mm 2.8 for just overall wedding shots. I've seen your videos on the lenses and love the look of both. Any suggestions?!!

  • @global001
    @global001 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, well explained. Were you using the 24-70mm for the full body and the 85mm the close ups? You're a natural. Love that you did it all without extra lighting.

    • @stoplossM4
      @stoplossM4 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      global001 you need to learn "extra lighting "

    • @global001
      @global001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      stoplossM4 She didn't use any mate. No flash, no reflectors. SMH.

    • @global001
      @global001 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      stoplossM4 I do have that knowledge. I complemented the woman who made this video on creating the shots 'without extra lighting.' Stop trolling the internet pretending to know strangers. You can't even read basic sentences and are obviously very unhappy about your life because you take your anger out on strangers. Thats your problem, not mine. Adios.
