Wow, that was super traumatic. I’m sorry that you had to go through all that to help put things into perspective. I’m almost 62 and was never able to conceive didn’t go fertility route because I was trusting God he gave me an amazing husband that had four children who lost their mom to brain cancer, and I’ve been blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, one on the way and a niece that I love with all my heart, also some other babies through spiritual daughters and friends. Going through menopause and grieving that I was never able to do what I was made for has been definitely hard. Thanks for sharing your story. I tend to watch a lot of TH-cam videos about babies.🤍

Your husband’s understanding of the natural birth process is fantastic. I wish ALL dads were this motivated.

I LOVE how informed dad is. This is all stuff I learned in my birthing class with my partner and it totally changed our outlook on hospital births. I have history of hemorrhaging so birthing center and home birth was out of the question. But those birthing classes helped me have my VBAC.

Glad Daddy was a good advocate.
Although the delivery wasn't to great,
It's a precious memory to know he's by your side as a protector, always. That love is rare.
I just had my 7th on February 11th, she's 7 weeks old now.
God is always with us and he hears us.

So so happy and relieved for you that you have your baby now and he’s healthy and you’re healthy. But I know how much your hearts hurt about the WAY things unfolded and the difficult recovery. ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing your story! ❤️
It's very similar to my own. I also made it to 9cm and ended up with an emergency c-section. Although it wasn't a vertical section, I was put under general anesthesia and intubated. The scariest feeling was waking up and not knowing whether she was alive or not. I also hemorrhaged and had to have a few units of blood.
I felt so defeated and robbed as well. I ended up dealing with alot of PPD, Post partum anxiety, and post partum OCD. It was a very dark period of time for me.
I'm praying for you all. Especially you Momma! 🙏❤️

No wonder you felt so much trauma! The whole experience was as far from your anticipated natural process as you can get. But you landed safely. And here you are. Beautiful, lovely family.

You guys were so amazing! Rachel, you’re such a badass. ❤️❤️❤️ I know how hard that c-section/breach revelation had to be for you, especially being soooo close dilation-wise.
Good for your husband for asserting himself to stay in the room!!!! I’ve been there for it several times as a doula, but they always insist that the partner not be.😤

Congratulations, you have a beautiful family!!! 👏👏😍 Praying you have complete healing and wholeness!!!🙏🙏🙏 I had a traumatic 1st birth and c-section. Then all V-backs with the last 3. My 3rd baby boy was a stillbirth, so that was also traumatic. Then I had a baby girl in 2020.
This two shall pass...I am healed from my loss, and it took time. Forgive yourself and know this wasn't your fault. It will take time, and the timing is different for everyone. I am grateful your son is healthy and handsome too. 🥰

I used Bradley method with all of my four natural births. And I too am a control freak.😤 I could relate to so much of what you described about labor in general. My husband was fantastic for all of our births.

I feel your pain I had four natural births and one C-section but I think you were wrong when you said they asked if you wanted pain medicine and you said no I don't do drugs to me that was not funny and it was completely unnecessary some people need more medication and maybe some don't it's everyone's choice it doesn't mean that you do drugs

You, definitely, will need a trauma counselor as PTSD is serious. I’m so happy to hear you recovered. OMG
