Hey Dave, looks like a great alternative to dragging the Revington TR option across the pond for twice the price, plus shipping. Definitely interested for an early (1970) TR6 A-Type. Love the knob mounted switch too.
I think the D-type overdrive is similar to the J-type with respect to the interrupt switch on the transmission and I believe the D-type overdrive solenoid needs battery voltage to turn on which would require the J2 selector to be in the “J” position.

It is definitely a great alternative, and the knob mounted switch is way easier to use than a steering column mounted switch.
I see you have the switch for J and A overdrives, would this work for a D OD. I have that on a GT6 motor?
