On our drive back from Yercaud to Bengaluru, we decided to subject the Jimny to a rough road test, actually a brutal ‘no-road’ test. Instead of taking the route via Salem (the one we took coming in), we opted for the backroads that involve an arduous 30 kilometer stretch, many segments, rough and shod of all semblance of a road whatsoever. I wanted to know if these bad roads would rattle the Jimny, ruffle its composure in the slightest. Watch the vlog to see what happened.
Hope you enjoyed this Yercaud Jimny drive series. Let me know in the comments below, where else would you like to see the Jimny go

What a beautiful view at the Viewpoint. Thanks for capturing yet another amazing vlog in Jimny and every time I see this series it makes me feel as if I am driving the Jimny. Articulation & Storytelling are the key ingredients in a vlog, and they are covered superbly in all your vlogs. Apart from food lovers TV, I think you will do a great job with road trips and travel vlogs with the hint of food experience which goes without saying. Looking forward to seeing many such adventures in Jimny.

Jimny is definitely a great vehicle and thanks for bringing great Jimny content however, FWD vehicles can do these kind of roads just fine as well especially if Ground clearance is good and engine is powerful - like Ecosport, Nexon etc. 😊
The best part about a SPV like Jimny is you just know you will go through almost anything a road can throw at you, and you actually enjoy it!

The best adventure and challenging trip for your Jimmy would have been the Kolli hills (Kollimalai hill station, Namakkal District, Tamil Nādu), roughly 90 kms from Salem, even Anand Mahindra showed the beauty of the Road from eagle view (in his X channel i believe) there are other village routes to the Kolli hills like how you came down from Yercaud. Please do your test drive on that Hill station. Thanks. 🙂🤗

When it comes to the build quality, the Jimny is quite solid and tested a fair bit overseas. I personally feel it is quite unlike a typical Maruti. You should perhaps test drive the Jimny to get a feel of its build aspect first hand and then decide for yourself.

Only reason to buy a 4wd in 95% of India is to just say you have 4wd.... you don't need it, and trust me when you need it you start to contemplate the stupid decisions that you make in life to end up in that pathetic situation in the first place. I live in the harsh winters of upstate New York and I use a corolla with fwd and good all weather (not all seasons, those are normal tires) Michelle tires and never had to face any issues in worse of conditions that no indian usually finds themselves in.... when I was in Ahmedabad for 20 years there was not ONCE a situation that I thought "you know what I need in life? An 4wd car... that would be helpful". I don't have words to explain how stupid one has to be (or superfluous with money) to buy a 4wd car. Take some time and contemplate your life choices and don't waste money, people are working themselves to death for barely enough money for necessity...
