OMG BABEL IS AMAZING 😭 But definitely don't sprint read it, I read it very slowly and it was just a gut punch devastating by the end. I cried 4 times throughout that book. I'm still not over it!

ever since I started watching haley then I started watch Sara and now I watch you, y'all are my comfort TH-camrs, also I love listening to yours and haley and Sara's videos while I read swell. l feel like im in a room with my friends and just reading.
When I saw you with the first book in the Ice Planet Barbarians series lmfao I was like NO! PUT THAT DOWN! THAT IS NOT FOR YOU! That first part of the book, as an SA survivor, triggered me to no end. I put the book down and had to contemplate my life choices for a minute but then I kept going. So many people who like the same smutty things I do said that was one of their favorite series, so I kept going and I don’t regret it. Georgie is one of the most strong willed heroines. She realizes that this is her life now and she must accept it. It’s incredible. Whenever I need something light and just legitimately pure smut, I go back to that series and pick up another book. I believe I am now on book 8 or 9 I think. It is not for everyone. It’s pretty much alien porn lmfao😂 it doesn’t take a dark turn again after that first part though. Not so far where I am at in the series at least. They just find their alien soulmates and enjoy life with their blue aliens and have babies😂

First off, I absolutely love the fact that Des is putting out long reading vlogs. I am eating them up and can't get enough. Secondly, im glad I watched this video because now im intrigued and ready to read Lessons In Chemistry. I've been debating on it for awhile and it's been on my shelves for quite awhile but now I think is the time to read it, so thanks Des. I appreciate you helping me dwindle down my TBR.

Okay no lie, the housemaid was my top read of 2022. A book hasn’t made me feel the way it did in a long time. It was nice to pick up a thriller that felt thrilling again. Maybe because I read too much romance 😂

Somewhat SPOILERS!
Coming from someone who absolutely loved the trilogy of the Cruel Prince, I'll say this The Stolen Heir was faster paced which made the book more enjoyable it did still have moments that were kind of like boring and I've found that to be in all the 3 books of the trilogy of The Folk of the Air. However, it did totally have some similar dynamics to Cardan and Jude's story which tugged at my heartstrings. I think seeing a different perspective of Oak was phenomenal and although the ending was similar to the Wicked king it makes it so much fun for a reader because now for sure we know we are getting Jude and Cardan to break hell lose to the get Oak back in the next book. I found myself relating so much to Wren and she has such a special place in my heart and i felt like i really was able to understand her emotions, she was a very thought-out character.

You should check out a Sucky love story by Brittani Louise Taylor she is a TH-camr and she wrote her memoir and it’s so good it’s her story of a traumatic relationship she went through and it’s gut wrenching cause it’s real. It’s crazy what she went through and what she got from that relationship. Love your videos there so much fun!
“It gives Verity vibes”…. So what you’re telling me is all the characters are crazy? 😅😂 because that’s one thing I really got from Verity.
I had to force myself through Babel and really don‘t understand the hype around it. It‘s brilliantly researched and as you said, very intellectual, but it was not a fun reading experience, the main character had - in my opinion - not a good character development and the end was just straight out bad. Also, sometimes it felt just like a university lecture 😂
