If you want a good rich people mystery I recommend one of us is dead by Jeneva Rose. She wrote the perfect marriage and it’s got lots of drama, and I don’t usually guess plot twists so for me it was really fun. The audiobook also has different narrators for each character since you follow like five different characters which is nice.
Omg I felt the EXACT same way about meet me at the lake! I rlly rlly like her writing but I just didn’t connect to the story whatsoever. every summer after had so much heart & this one I felt nothing for the characters. I hope she takes her time with her next book bc she has the potential to put out amazing books
I feel like for Vicious it being "just over" was part of the point. Trying to skirt around spoilers here for the comment section. But like it's a very unbalanced situation so there has to be some something else than what we're expecting from a superpower book bc the book tells us the rules of engagement and why it's going to have to be that way even if we choose to expect something else. I haven't read the second book yet but I imagine it's gearing up for something big in that one! I hope that makes sense lol
