唐武德九年，内廷生变，原太子之女李长歌侥幸逃出。逃亡途中，长歌偶遇化名为秦准的草原部落特勤阿诗勒隼，两人不打不相识，渐生英雄相惜之感。长歌在幽州粉碎一场阴谋，与此同时身份败露，前往㮶州避祸。她藏于㮶州刺史公孙恒身边，助其共抗草原势力侵袭，却未想到敌方将领隼竟是旧识秦准。长歌震惊痛心。然而㮶州情况危急，为争取时间等待援兵，李长歌与隼谈判，为大局甘愿沦为战俘被押往草原，意外得知大可汗另有野心。长歌决定暂放私仇，以身涉险拼死破局，隼为救长歌不惜与大可汗为敌，两人却阴差阳错天各一方。长歌辗转流亡，历经风雨的她逐渐领会仁者无敌的道理，最终彻底放下个人恩怨。在发现前隋势力才是挑动事端的幕后黑手后，长歌与隼联手为守护大唐与草原的和平贡献了自己的力量，两人也终于认清了对彼此的情感，携手共赴危局。
►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

I love all the parallels in this show. The scene where she refers to him as second uncle before leaving goes back to when her mother asked her to call her mother one more time, and she childishly refused. She’s grown and learned so much about how quickly the people you love can disappear. Whoever wrote this seriously deserves a raise.
The symbolism shown by the return of her dagger is beautiful. She won the dagger as an honor for Tang in Cuju match and gifted it to her uncle as symbol of her love for him. That very dagger took her mother's life and became a symbol of betrayal to her, which she had been carrying all along. Now she returns that dagger to her uncle, the dagger, now, a symbol of her forgiveness, her letting go of revenge, her reminder, her warning to her uncle, the Emperor of Tang, to treat the people well lest retribution should befall. The dagger bears all of Changge's emotions in every phase of her life and journey.

I can’t help but feel for Sher as well. He’s neglected by everyone. He wants a firm brotherhood and Mimi but his mother consistently decides his path which pushes these people away from him. Overall, he’s still righteous and decisive. The only flaw is he’s in denial a lot which I can’t blame him.
And mimi likes Mu Jin, and i think deep down the brotherhood is there, remember when A'Sun had opportunity to kill him and his mother? but didn't. Before in the start he had rivalry/jealousy towards A'Sun as he always came second and could never beat him at anything, but sher has come a long way and genuinely cares for A'Sun and he heard his mother confess her crimes so i think next few eps going to show him be that good guy

@@Anakiwiify Yeah whats really cool about A'Suns character is how he tolerated the resentment sher had towards him, he could of easily told the truth, but for the sake of keeping Ashile tribe from breaking down he just tolerated it. Generally in life its a difficult skill to withhold information and allow others to falsely accuse you, have to be very humble with no ego, a higher understanding and ability to solve your thoughts to avoid impulsive exchange of words. It's fortunate that despite the misunderstanding that led to their conflict, Changge and Li Shimin trust each other that their tricks and strategies will only work because they know each other so well. The failed treaty alliance between Tang and desert tribes got compromised due to Mimi's exposing of Changge's identity but was saved by Li Shimin's foresight and strategies. There's an internal understanding of each other's moves from Changge to Li Shimin. Quite calculated and I think there's some unknown factor in play they haven't revealed yet. Still, proves their bond is strong as he was like a second father to her and she was a daughter to him.
Hopefully, well get to see A'Sun's strategy and tricks play out too. After his conversation with Li Shimin and Sher, he surely has got something up his sleeves. Also, I don't think Li Shimin is letting Lady Jin down by not stopping Changge save A'Sun. She did asked him to let her do what she likes and love a man on her own terms. By allowing Changge go, he fulfills his promise.

His Majesty's statement that "We're not common people after all" is indeed, true. Their individual happiness are beyond their reach for they should think first of their Nation than of themselves. His Majesty is not only a benevolent ruler of his people but also a kind and understanding father and uncle. I can clearly see that he equally loves both ladies. The fact that he lets Changge go is a testament of his love for Changge and his respect of Changge's ability to handle the situation no matter how dire it is.
Also, that moment where Changge said "Second Uncle". OMG! I really can't stop my tears. Atlast! Changge is now free from hate and revenge. I dont know if this Li Shiming is the same as all the other Li Shi Ming stories I watch growing up but this Li Shi Ming character never disappoint me. He is a great leader, hero, lover, and father. Man me cry. Heck the whole cast had made me emotional and she'd tears. if you can captivate me...it is enough! Hao du and his father scene from last episode ahhh. Sun when he asking Change mother for hands in marriage.....Ahhh I like it because we have no unnecessary jealousy character plotting on ML and FL. Plus SFL and SML has their own romance. So good so good. Mimi gosh such good acting...I don't know what I would do if I was put in that situation, I would probably have a clouded mind too. That's he little brother. Great story!

This is such a beautiful scene at the memorial shrine of ChanGe's mother at 27:00. She showed such love and respect for her deceased mother and was here to inform her of her choice ahead. When she read the heart-warming marriage proposal by Sun, she was moved and proceeded to toast three drinks to her mother - first to inform her mother of her marriage to Sun, second to raise the cup on behalf of her husband, and third to address Sun as her husband and to asks her mother's blessing and divine protection for Sun's safely. Such as emotional and powerful scene. It says so much of Chinese culture and its tradition of respecting your parents even after they are gone. The future son-in-law, Sun, won ChanGe's heart because he understands this point and took the trouble to offer an official marriage proposal with its sullen oath to love and protect.
