唐武德九年，内廷生变，原太子之女李长歌侥幸逃出。逃亡途中，长歌偶遇化名为秦准的草原部落特勤阿诗勒隼，两人不打不相识，渐生英雄相惜之感。长歌在幽州粉碎一场阴谋，与此同时身份败露，前往㮶州避祸。她藏于㮶州刺史公孙恒身边，助其共抗草原势力侵袭，却未想到敌方将领隼竟是旧识秦准。长歌震惊痛心。然而㮶州情况危急，为争取时间等待援兵，李长歌与隼谈判，为大局甘愿沦为战俘被押往草原，意外得知大可汗另有野心。长歌决定暂放私仇，以身涉险拼死破局，隼为救长歌不惜与大可汗为敌，两人却阴差阳错天各一方。长歌辗转流亡，历经风雨的她逐渐领会仁者无敌的道理，最终彻底放下个人恩怨。在发现前隋势力才是挑动事端的幕后黑手后，长歌与隼联手为守护大唐与草原的和平贡献了自己的力量，两人也终于认清了对彼此的情感，携手共赴危局。
►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

I can't belive there would be a day when I would feel 49 episodes would be too short for me. I have always avoided Chinese historicals bcoz of length but this hit me pretty hard 💔
I always avoid most historical dramas cause they almost always have a sad ending
I also avoided historical dramas because I always end crying like I am crying but it gives many advice for us how to get how to make every inch every step our life understandingly.

I've watched alot of dramas before but this has definitely touched my heart. The characters were selfless and it shows alot of critical thinking and strategies, the romance was not too much and their morals. It's shows friendship and brotherhood and exciting actions. By far the best series I've ever seen.
I like how the main villain is basically an alternate version of the protagonist. If Changge had continued to go down the path of taking revenge at the cost of warfare and people's suffering, then she would've become exactly the same as Yicheng. It makes everything more realistic and relatable.

I just love how smart and independent ChangGe is- not a moment where she depended on Asun to do anything for her (except when she forced him to fight She’er during Leyan’s marriage duel which he refused😂). Also how Asun grew to respect her decisions and protect her when she needed to be. When he was given the chance by the emperor to change their identities, he didn’t decide for her and rejected the offer because he knew she wouldn’t want it - that scene really stuck with me. Both lead characters are heroes in their own right and they’re a perfect match❤️🔥 All the minor characters were also worth investing time into, there was never a boring moment!

I've watched a lot of series in my life. But this by far is the best I've ever seen. Love all the characters, the storyline, the passion, the plots, the twists, the deception. This show is one to remember...a fucking brilliant masterpiece that keeps u excited n fill with anticipation from start to end. I loved it!!!

The storyline is pure and beautiful. Now one of my all time favorites ❤
Overall the story was good but... Am I the only one who thinks it took a while for them to show believable romantic affection for each other? The ending lacked that affection together instead we get an eagle and her looking up at it (what about that drink with his brother?) Didn't feel believable romance wise but more like really good friends. Love both actors especially Dilreba since eternal love/eternal love of dream and more but overall the romance lacked believability at least for me.🤷♀️

The Long Ballad is easily one of the best series I have watched. The sets, costumes, the animations! I was constantly immersed in this world. The sweet, funny and heart wrenching moments are going to stay with me for a long time. Perfect ending for a perfect series..

A number of viewers expressed their disappointment with the ending as it didn’t show the cliche, common ending of them kissing....
I actually prefer this ending as it depicts Ashile Sun watching over Changge and making sure she’s happy and safe with him! Much better than the cliche ending of couples kissing and people cheering & applauding them......
Everybody else in the series kissed. The only thing he did was kiss her forehead once. Big deal! Did you see the scene where Mimi and mujin kissed? Wow wow! Now THAT was a passionate kiss.

The ending scene, an unconventional and brilliant one, portrayed Sun and Changge as two individual heroes, who've spilled blood,sweat and tears to establish peace and prosperity, saving people from the curse of war, selflessly, valiantly and sincerely. The two flawed beings with their fate intertwined, became heroes for each other, for their people, for their loved one, for their country and for peace. They've fulfilled their journey and accomplished their mission.
The Eagle flying scene with the drums beating was one of the best scenes :3

I like the love story of li changge and ashile sun its not the usual love story that weve seen ,their love is pure and unselfish that they respect each others freedom and support each others decision they are not forcing anything for themselves for as long as they knew that they love each other nothing else matter just like what they both said "its enough to have you in my life" and also changge already accepted asun marrige proposal and claimed that he is already his husband ..

I've gotta say.. i think Hao Du's and Leyan's love story was more engaging and sweet to me, i absolutely adore their character development together! I didn't like Hao Du at first, but he quickly grew onto me and now he's my favourite character.

I'm so excited for the future of Leo Wu/Ashula Sun's career in historical films. At his age, he portrayed a truly mature emotionally gripping character that will be unforgettable. Loved him in Nirvana in Fire, he's getting better as he grows up. Looking forward to his work in Future

Wu Lei is such a versatile actor. I've been binging his dramas and films lately and what I'll say is that he can convincingly carry any type of role...down to earth, youthful, funny ones...all the way to super mature, serious, and cold characters like Ashile Sun and Ling Buyi. Amazing actor. He's athletic, has great form/great energy, and is so fantastic in action sequences. His horsemanship is also noteworthy.
Before I thought that Hao du's father is a bad guy but after a long time until this episode, he waited for his son to bring back the victory, to make sure that his country is safe and peaceful, so he can leave without worried. It shows that most of them always put their country first and more important than their own life, their happiness as long as their people can live happily that's enough.

Loved the setting of grasslands and the background music during the scenes of Eagle Division. A beautiful story so well portrayed, sweet and simple. Ashile Sun and Emperor Li Shimin, these two characters in particular were my favourite and the actors did justice to the role. The relationship between Du Hao and his father was also beautifully directed and likewise that of Ashile Sun and Sh'er. As for relationship of Ashile Sun's with his father Great Khan, I wish they had gone a lil more in detail, it would've been more satisfying. Journey of Princess Leiyan was also inspiring. And Sigh! Thank God! Li Changge gave Ashile Sun positive response, cuz having watched many Chinese period dramas I was afraid Li Changge, being a warrior and rebel, might not reciprocate Ashile Sun's feelings or restrain herself from getting into relationship or something. But it didn't turn out like that which I'm glad for. Most importantly, the lesson was so beautiful and an utter truth which we need to learn. We need to let go of differences, hatred and revenge to live in Peace. Love the team Long Ballad and Thank you! Thank you for making this project possible. And Thank You the channel to upload on TH-cam especially for international viewers to watch with English subtitles.

Accidentally caught on to this series and it is by far the best one out of many I have watched. All the actors and actresses were superb and I love the young spoiled prince and the young princess of Monan. Absolutely recommend this!

She did the marriage rites and accepted his proposal in ep 46 lol. It's a very indirect marriage but it did happen. We just never got a wedding or the two of them bowing to heaven and earth and each other. I'll take whatever crumbs I'll get haha

Kudos to the whole cast..Their acting are all superb..Even the kids act really well..And let's not forget the director who also worked hard to squeeze out the best performace from the actors..I highly recommend this show..👍👍👍

Kudos to the writers, not just for creating a great story, but especially for the portrayal of character development. One of the best examples of it that I have seen. I really enjoyed the cinematography as well. Acting was top notch by all. Congrats to cast and crew for an amazingly well done job!

Khatun how much ever scheme she planted she planted on her own she is a strong lady afterall. She led the whole country herself that's also a bravery. She even suffered 30 years for her kingdom for her so called adopted family. I really liked her acting. Strong character needs to be applauded.
Wow..This is just the best I have watched in a long while. I laughed, I screamed, I cried and it all boils down to Love! For country, for oneself, for family, for acquaintances and the desire to see us grow. I understand the ending. Sun and Changed gets married and still watch over one another. I didn't really like the fact that Mimi died. It really Hurst me but it's part of it. Shout out to all the team. Sun, changed, mu jin, sher, Mimi..I love you big
Can we just say we are falling in love with Sher.. like they need mini series just for Sher as a main lead to see how he ends up. Everyone got their ending but Sher😭♥️♥️

Plz the male lead deserve a big award..he acted the eagle well..NVR was there default in his acting,even wen he was sweet with his woman..the way he walks,no fear..his words comes out with power..the female lead has always being a legend..our funny favorite actress wasn't funny here but was sweet zhao...I love everyone,the writer, director,crew members..I will surely rewatch this again
I watch above 30 dramas in Cdrama and Kdrama but this 💜THE LONG BALLED💜 makes me very excited to watch each episode my love from Tamilnadu 🇮🇳

Among the C-dramas I've watched so far(Hot Girl, I will never let you go, King's woman, and finally The Long Ballad), I am impressed with Vin Zhang Binbin, Dilraba, Leo Wu and Ariel Lin. Brilliant and outstanding performance.

I completely agree and a special mention to all the kids' actors/actresses, in a good or villain role, they were all so good; the one playing the spoiled crown prince captured all the emotions so well , annoying, fussy, arrogant cute, and sweet in the end. This is in my top three dramas, along with The Rebel Princess and Who rules the world. A brilliant script and good acting make all the difference.🙂
I love the background sound everytime there's a fight scene.
