I'm always looking for old classic semi trucks to save and restore. I'm also always looking for trucks or parts Detroit Diesel related. If you have one that needs to be saved or you know of one you can drop me an email at the following address: Ol2Stroker@gmail.com
Be sure to check out our website ol2stroker.com for truck parts and merch!
Years ago I bought a new 2001 international 9900 IX with a cat 6NZ. Awesome truck, awesome motor!
When you part that out, definitely sell those battery boxes. Kinda hard to find. Fits other models too like the 9370.
Man, that tow rig of your new buddies' sounds like a beautiful beast.
Nice find Wayne an international with a cat in it hope you can bring it back to life it would be a sweet ride your subscribers from up north in Minnesota 😊
Thanks! We'll see!
"we know.. that whatever it is... its broke" :)!!! and dropping a"lil jostling"... killing me Wayno!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
That tow truck is called a DTU " De-Tachable Tow Unit" they are very handy is the towing/transport industry. And can fit multiple trucks. Best part is takes about 5 minutes to hook up and un hook the unit. Figured I would let anyone know that was wondering
Yea they are slick as hell!
Two video's in one week, Merry Christmas to us, lol, I hope you and your good lady wife have a very Merry Christmas, and a fantastic New Year, thanks for all the video's this year mate, have a good one. 🇬🇧
Same to you 🤟🤟
I love those binders and I even like the color. Heck of a find!
I do like the big hood! The Barney purple on the other hand....
@@Ol2Stroker Sun-faded Barney purple, no less. You drive around in that, you're telling the world you're secure in your manhood. Or you're Barney the Purple Dinosaur, either way live your truth man.
I was busting up laughing when you said you had two spin out holes. Even had to go back and check for sure. Anyhow only so many Detroit's out there so good your expanding your horizon with Cat's. Although I did notice the Detroit's seem to stick around more while the Cat's seem to get parted out. Thanks for the video,
Yea it had me fooled until I was editing! Lol
Hey Wayne. I dated a gal named ether. She was hot but eventually our relationship went up in smoke ! Have a great weekend.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I find that old primer pumps work better if you slide your hand off it and let it snap back on the spring rather than pull it out with your hand. The snap goes faster than a leaky seal can let in air, so it pulls fuel.
Good trick I'll try that!
@@Ol2Stroker I do the same with old trigger sprayers.
,,, if there was ever anything that felt so unCat its gotta be that hand pump !
@@Ol2Stroker heavy grease at the bottom of the shaft might help the seal too, making it suck fuel instead of air, but snapping speed is the quickest way.
Great video Wayne really nice truck with 6NZ kitty. Looking forward to your next video thanks for sharing Wayne.
Nothing against your Detroits but the caterpillar business is probably gonna be more lucrative these days. Especially motors like that, the 3406s are sought after engines 👍
No doubt!!
I know you don’t care but non two stroke videos aren’t worth watching.hope it turns back the other way,
@@tater_relocater fear not brother lots of 2 stroke coming
@@tater_relocater like I said nothing against the detroits, that’s why I started watching the channel. Just saying that if he’s gonna start parting out trucks there’s way more people looking to buy cats than the old 2 strokes.
@@minnesotatomcat my comment was my view not a reply to you directly. Not sure why it came out that way. Plenty of truck repair channels. All good.was meant for Wayne .
9900 Eagle is a cool truck, it probably just needs a differential, pull it out and take it to a shop that rebuilds them and they will trade yours for a rebuilt one. Talk about a strange story I got a call one day to go rescue a truck load of horses the driver dropped dead and they knew I lived close and they needed to get the horses to a safe place when I got there ambulance had picked him up his coffee was in the cup holder still hot. Sent chills down my back.
“Enjoy every cup of coffee as if it were your last - one day you’re sure to be right.”
You got a whole 6nz with a truck attached!?! Sounds like a good score. Definitely have the towing dudes around more often. Might be good to party with.
They're really good dudes
Like the purple truck buddy
Thanks for the show Wayne 🍻 🇦🇺
It's always an adventure on your videos. Great stuff, Wayne. Let's fix the rear end. I used to enjoy rebuilding transmissions and rear-ends.
Thanks Wayne.
The power and heated mirrors r desirable for those of us who used them.. maybe not hube money..but damn nice to have on old truck..
Yea i wouldn't wanna live without heated mirrors!
Ok, now it's Friday night and another video from Uncle Wayne-O!
The Shake Weight commercial segments still make me laugh.
I love them lol
In my opinion the 9900 was international’s last well built truck everything built now is plastic junk .Including the new LT’s that i drive , unfortunately international stopped building the 9900 in 2017 . The 9200/9400 were great trucks as well
It looks cool with the long ass hood. Imagine if it wasn't purple!
@@Ol2Stroker guy i work with at a neighboring farm has an almost identical truck to this his is painted this horrendous radioactive neon green ,,it was originally that same purple
@@wildcoyote34 radioactive green sounds cool actually. Anythings better than tryna impersonate Barney
Now the old general has my attention...I sold.mine and now wondering why...back building something else
Ive bought and drove worse, its got potential. Possibly fix and flip, be a good truck for a belly dump or some other gravel wagon.
This would make a good work truck rebuilt. I remember when they were new.
The boys need to make a t shirt of that Mack Wrecker in the same style/art as your shirts 👌🏼
Yesssss
Awesome video. Greetings from Germany!
Thanks!
Hey Repo guy........Great tow unit for reposessions.........and you fit the mold well . 6 K on that unit gives you.........and me a lot of satisfaction to sleep well . Great score !
Definitely turned out to be a decent deal. Now I just need a few more of those
In the last youtube video I saw an partially disassembled V12 engine, so I think the stroker man has begun some videos of his new toy... Hope to see those videos soon.....
Way behind on editing! Good eye!
RIP Dan The Man
i know it may be a bit tough (especially when you're going to sell parts etc) but it would really be way more interesting if we knew what you gave for something. I cant say I would blame you if you dont wanna say, but it's hard to get a feel for something without knowing the price.
Bought it for 6k
mate seriously the size of the cabins blows my mind in Oz that shit could house a family of 10 luv ya work over n out from down under on a side note I've noticed ya have some containers on your property maybe you could do like a giant white board to put all your names on gives ya plenty of room for the future aye see ya
Yea gotta do something y'all are multiplying!!
Great parts truck! Keep the Cat engine unless someone offers some serious cash for it. 👍🏻 Sad news about the owner passed away.. Honesty alot died after January of 2020 hopefully things will bounce back after January 6th 2024 ..
“It’s not here for that” Theres your next merch idea, you’re welcome.
Stay tuned!!
Damn I remember when those trucks were new it seemed like yesterday my buddy bought a International Eagle right from the dealer that my good friend Jeff father ran and look at that thing somebody drove the snot out of it and looks like it's been parked a while and has been shown no love.
Yea she's been rode hard and put away wet
Nice truck Wayne.
The rear drive made both holes. It made the first one when you tried to backup and when you pulled forward and tried to backup again it made the second one. Front drive never spun.
Noticed that when editing! Thanks!
Dude, That's actually a good truck.
It probably was at one point yea
DAB towing is 10 minutes from my house and 5 minutes from my shop. Small world
I didn’t see until I saw it. I’m totally stealing that. I’ll send ya a dime every time I do. I would have said I’ll send you a nikhol but I can’t spell nickoul.
Hey Buddy. We also know you bleed detriot alpine green, but have you thought about
possibly grabbing that Kitty and putting it in that sweet daycab Pete you picked up a while
back? Just an idea. I would think working on the V12 would be a long project and you already
have one in your Cabover. 😈 😁
That would totally devalue the truck. Plenty 6non collector hoods out there to do that
+1 on the Free-All! Great Stuff!
My fav!
you probably can triple your money the pre def trucks are selling for a premium especially with a cat motor
Yea it's nuts right now
I'm interested in the dash when you part it out if it's not all broken or spoken for
Thanks man I ended up selling the whole truck
Holy shit I just realized watching this you are in upstate NY. I’m down in Rotterdam area
Yup I'm up in broadalbin
That rig is a semi Repo truck. She just need a visit from the Ether Bunny.... CAT, Cummins just run... They are so so durable
Really?
“I didn’t see it until I saw it” . Thats what she said….
🤣🤣🤣
That engine hasn’t bin touched, I’ve got a 2000 international ix with 3.2 million with one inframe, still going strong with no blow-by, in fact I passed you on I-81 when you where bringing home that Pete with the v-8 cat on the back and I had 2 Pete’s on my trailer, one was yellow if I remember correctly going to the port or Baltimore..
Cool old beast
Tweak that Kitty up and bring her to Onaway in May. Worst Case Scenario have a fire sale if something breaks. Thanks for the Videos, Wayne.
The thought had occurred to me
JESUS MIGHT as well been in Scranton or Kearny
Come on Uncle Wayno! Save her!!
That was pretty nice truck at one time. I wonder if there is cancer around that windshield?
Wayne give Tim Gentry (he’s a tuber who has a trucking company and likes cornbinders)
Mine charges 14-14.4 regularly
I always liked those trucks
Nice score Wayne!! Not a fan of the 94/9900 binders but somebody will buy the parts i think the engine was a good score tho the rest will just be profit great bud can't wait for more. Just curious how the day cab Pete is coming?
I'm way behind on editing, but stay tuned!
Turn Tim Gentry on to it, he loves this combination.
I think a body swap over to a 359 would be cool! Or go drop that cat in a 359. Not sure if that would be worth it to you given you like your detroit's tho
Good find!
👍🏻🍻
Do a cab clean out, see what you find in the ole fellas hidey holes
Hard to beat the old 13 letter shit spreader.. thanks for the video wayne
Ohhhh a 6NZ! That Guy KT3406e luvs them things. Dude you bought 1 Pete with a cat, and now you got a litter of Kittens😅
No kidding on the kittens!! @3406e is one of my favorite channels
That truck could be a fun rebuild. 🤷🏻♂️
Remember when Schenectady was a nice place? Nah, me either
.😂
💯💯💯
Hay buddy good luck buddy
The idle sounds amazing on this truck. Im always curious if big diesels can idle lower then the factory default, like some kinda low idle switch to save a bit of fuel and make it sound nice. Would it have the oil pressure to do that ? Would it be bad for the engine for other reasons ?
Man i dunno tbh.
It would definitely be bad for the engine, especially if used for long term. As you stated low oil pressure would be a problem, but also most engines don't effectively seal the piston rings until around 900 rpm. That's why you should never idle a diesel below that 900-1000 rpm threshold for extended periods of time because you are pushing unburnt fuel and exhaust gasses past the rings and into the crankcase and potentially diluting or contaminating the oil, not to mention the lower oil pressure is harder on bearings.
@@toby0395 Interesting, i did not know piston ring sealing was tied to engine RPM
Only you could find a deal like that.
I know right!
Bill Hall this truck looks like the ones you had if is had a really hard life after us dang
Maybe you should keep that cat and get rid of those underpowered Detroit's
Ha!
14.2 volts isn't a very high charging voltage especially if it has a GM alternator. Some of the newer GM's charged as high as 15 volts.
Its an overdrive 10
It mostly sat at 15v didn't realize that was normal thanks
Call me a lunatic, but I soo want to see en engine like that in a small truck!😱
Woulda been sick in that little mack i have
Wayno how about this you chuck that Detroit out of that nice mint truck you have and chuck that 6nz in it like a fella should 😂😂 i honestly dont know how i like a Detroit channel so much i hate the things except the big ones think i was working on a genset over here in the UK with one in and was watching how you solved it 😂 another shit hot video pal love it
We're gonna make Detroit lovers outa all you fellers yet!! Thanks man 🤟🤟
@Ol2Stroker they only reason I hate the Detroit's is the sound they remind me of layland l60 when I first started my apprenticeship in mechanics I got a job rebuilding them in gensets and water pumps for the water board. But yeah loving the channel and content 👌
Wayne at 16:11 are them batteries sitting directly on concrete floor
Yup!
@@Ol2Stroker My grampa always told me to put a piece of wood under a battery if you set it on the ground especially concrete for some reason if you don't it will kill a battery over time and i found out the hard way
Thought that was an old wives tail?
Deal? Hard to say without knowing what you have into it. BTW, What trans? I take it you are in upstate NY, I'm in Pa down on 81
You bought an Inter-Trash-tonal? You are absolutely killing me smalls. lol 😂
If we don’t talk before next week then have a Merry Christmas.
I am killing ME! 🤣
@@Ol2Stroker oh well as long as you’re happy and feeling good about life then it’s all good.
@@bigslim492 thanks man hope you're doing good
@@Ol2Stroker Doing well thanks for a pot bellied ex-trucking old fucker.
sell the secks and c to a sucker and drop a series 60 in there
Be alotta just to be stuck with a turd International at the end
What do you want for the cab and hood
Ended up selling whole truck
Dang I have 4 long hood ix trucks I’d bought it up too
*walks up to the truck and takes her sunglasses off* "wow that's one big pile of shit!"
why did ut get parked? Blown rear end?
Yea
James pretty probably buy the hole truck off you
Naw he's a tough sell. He should buy the 3408 truck though. 🤣🤣 @JamesPretty
I see a MILWAUKEE'S BEST ICE can in the cab - that's always a good sign...
My thoughts exactly. Yikes
Don't kill the truck if u sell it sell it as a truck not parts.😢
I actually didn't take this one apart
Better to get it not running for the best price though😂
Truth
cool
Pull the Engine and Drive line out. Tan Scrap the rest of the Truck. Its an International.
Sooo International was waaay ahead of time with building trucks and thier design... cos this is the exact design the Fugly new Fakerbilt 569 has.
Id rather get a Inti without DPF instead cos those are runners while the fakerbilts are at the mechanics getting faults read.
Nice truck rubbish paint.
Yea that purple is terrible
@@Ol2Stroker I always had a thing for these Inti's they do have that oldskool feeling to em... the oldskool Dash with the proper engines under the hood... big sleeper aswell.... And inspite all that they created thier own look on the front with the simple headlights (the goofy headlights) And let's face it with a 6nz under the hood you cant go wrong.
Working class and comfort.
@@AllianceB95 definitely one of their best trucks
It might be sellable/ profitable as is to a Cornbinder fan but then we’d miss out on the videos of you ripping the $hit out of it. Whichever makes you the most money….
Everybody should own at least one 13-letter shit spreader
Was this ever in Ohio? It looks kinda familiar
So freakin' crazy how he went out... Like I used to work at a dealership 'n' was around sick or nasty people all day, & I didn't catch that bug once... Am not gonna put on a tin-foil hat on 'n' get into the weeds 'bout it, but it seems to me like that bug was a bioweapon... May he rest in peace...
It definitely was. Got my pops too. Government ain't really high on my list.
@@Ol2Stroker Ditto. I lost people, too... I don't trust much these days because of it... Condolences...
@@crusiethmaximuss same.
