That red Pete storming your driveway was Fkn pretty sweet. Good times with good friends. 👍
Hell yea!
Come on Wayne, big Bertha deserves some straight pipes!!
I'm not gonna lie I'm enjoying the quiet lol
Straight pipes on a 12 is a NO GO, first hand experience...its not like an 8V I dont care if your deaf, youll still get your skull split !
I worked next door to Von Arx, that was a great truck 😇😇
@@Rich-q9r no way small world!
Glad the 12v71 cabover is back! Also love the movie clips in between 😂
I been slacking on that truck we gotta get er done
Someone send Wayne an Owners Manual for the Pete!
Describe how the seat works.
No kidding what a walnut. 🤣🤣
Always good video when bacon is in it
Wayne-o: Brother, I LOVE this 352, I love the back story of her, I love that you found a fistful of '70s era "trucker's helper mints" in the ashtray (which I am positive were properly disposed of), and I love how optioned up she was when ordered. Such a cool rig. Any content you make on her is gold. This truck has soul.
It's my absolute favorite thing.
we called those mints " the spare driver" in the day
@@greglewis1146My uncle used to call them his Life/Load Savers and the old guy who taught me how to drive a truck for fun and profit called the Captain Tuttle (if you ever watched M*A*S*H you’ll understand
@@greglewis1146 - they have their place. Hell, my grandfather and his colleagues used them on long flights, missions both in the US and in the China-Burma-India theater in WWII...

Sweet My Favorite out of all your trucks.
Had the same Pete 352 only, mine had a CAT 1693
Like a IDIOT I sold it in 2005
Tom
Sucks letting go of one you love. I did that once too, never again!
Sold it a little too soon!

Woohoo! It's Friday, time for another video from Wayne. Working on the old 352, this has been a while coming.
Far too long
Always look forward to Friday. Sit down with a few beers after a long week and watch my man Wayno wrench on some shit. Classy🍻
So awesome Wayne, the old cabover is getting some more TLC! What an awesome truck with that big V12!
I saw that chalkiness leaving when you fired up the pressure washer Wayne, and the first thing I thought of was "call Neighbor Kid and buff that thing out"...lol. That truck looks good.
I can't wait to see how it comes out!!
I also love this truck Wayne. This is what me Subscribe to your channel. I'm a country boy that was raised up around all kinds of equipment. My dad bought the exact truck back in the 80's a year after a graduated High School. later he bought him a truck that was built ahead of it's time and that was a CL-9000 coe double bunk Ford with a 13 speed Road Ranger Transmission with a 435 Detroit. I'm 89 now and your channel brings back alot of thoughts......... I truly do enjoy your videos. Thank you Wayne for the memories..
Stay Safe my friend. Class of 1982 the good ol days of trucking. Peace brother
Thanks for wasting your Friday nights with me I appreciate it 🤟🤟
Sweet truck for sure. I don’t think that people really appreciate how rare this truck is.
Maybe i haven't done a great job communicating it 🤷
Wayno, great video as always, just a bit of trivia, I was watching an episode on the Knight Rider Historians Channel and they showed the Truck that was used for the Goliath episodes, it was the exact same 352 model you have, only difference I could see was it had different grab handles on it, and it had the smaller diesel tanks on it, but it was the same cab size, the Goliath 352 was built in Washington state, like I said just a bit of trivia I thought you'd like to know, take it easy man 🇬🇧
Yea Goliath was definitely a 352. good trivia 🤟
Someone needs to sponsor you a few sets of batteries.
YES PLEASE
Thank you for sharing it!
Nailed it with this video! Good stuff!
Appreciate it!
I love old peterbob square pants! It’s just an epic truck 👍
Man... The CROWN JEWELS of Newark California! 352 dbl bunk w a 12, 359 w a 12, 359 w a yellow V8, IT 359 AND a 700 w Alum frame... YER A KING GOOD SIR!!!! Cheers from cali Wayno

Love this truck so much. New bumper looks much better. I’m picturing it with a set of perlux lights or maybe some yellow ones in those holes, and a 3 or 4 slot swing plate, and it’s a nice sight. This truck would be MINT all polished up nice too.
I'm trying to find a nos set of per lux for it.

It really is
@Ol2Stroker it is wild to know the seats technically still work after 500 years of no use. Yeah yeah they might leak a bit, but the fact they didn't blow right out upon first use is amazing.

Yea i totally agree i was really impressed
I'm glad to hear that you are working on getting this young lady out on the road to let V12 buzz again. She is a special girl. All the best with her.
👍🏻🍻
Amazing how quick the 2stroke Diesel revs.So cool!BR from Germany
Thanks!! Yea she's a sweetheart
She sounds so sweet going thru the gears definitely need to get her out on the road for some driving video's i could watch it driving all day long definitely my favorite too ! Thanks for the videos 📹 🙂
I can't wait to haul with it
Let's uncover the sleeper..uncover the back windows lets see what she looks like..oh i remember that your interior lights weren't working in the sleeper that 1 time you climbed back there.
Makes me wonder what she'd run like if she had some real exhaust on her, and dual air cleaners to let her breathe like she needs to instead of being choked down like she's got a sleeper hold around her neck.
Its not starving for air
@@Ol2Stroker didn't say that it was necessarily starving for air, I said I wondered what she would run like if she had straight through exhaust, and better airflow going into her.
Typically most factory setups are not setup for making the the most that a engine can make, not because they want to, but because it's not cost effective to give them the most efficient setup they can.
Which interprets to the exhaust can be improved, as well as the intake can equally be improved upon thus the two combined gives the engine the optimal fuel, air, and exhaust to get peak flow through the air compressor that a combustion engine is .
That's not saying that she's totally choked, but that she isn't getting as good as she really needs to be more efficient than factory penny pinching suits allowed her to have.
They care about production cost, not whether the customer is getting what he paid for as advertised leading them to believe that is what they're getting.
No different than any automobile manufacturer has done for 98% of every car and truck sold.
Even the two percent that are sold as high performance vehicles, can be improved on with opening up the airflow in, and the airflow pumped out.
Just by different filter media the location of the source of inlet air pulling ambient air instead of directly from under the hood, or the ducting is restricted.
You know fully well of what I am saying, OEM isn't necessarily the optimal way to get the most power or efficiency from an engine, and I'm not referring to cranking it up to kill, but improving the system to get the most of what's there if it was done correctly from factory instead of letting the production cost hold it back because they were going to pay few more dollars.
So instead of getting in your case 7 to 8 mpg, you only get 4 to 5 mpg that's the difference I'm talking about.
Long winded I understand, but this is pet peeve of mine since before you were born, and nothing changed to this day if anything it's gotten severely worse than ever.
This you have to agree with, because it's obvious to anyone who has any mechanical abilities, and fully understand what a combustion engine whether its four stroke or two stroke engine
@@timothymilam732 semi truck industry was quite different than the automotive industry back then actually. They did a pretty good job setting things up right. But i hear you on automotive stuff, that shit was totally choked out.
Bruh...screen door is by far the coolest truck in the fleet Wayne-O. She needs some more luvin!!
Its just old school cool
Wayno says
We're going to get this ugly thing off of the front of this truck.
Dukes says
Sweet, finally getting rid of that stupid screen door grille from the middle of the radiator...
BALLS! )
🤣🤣
Ya scared me for a minute there. Wayne, when you said "it's time to get rid of this eyesore". I thought you were going to take the screen door guard off the grill. I think it makes it unique, sorta like hillbilly class.
I'm not getting rid of it!
@@Ol2Strokerreplace or rechrome shroud, then give the screen some sparklin' sheen too, would make that nose look all new!
Absolutely the plan
Fuck yeah
Hey Wayno! Nice job with the stick. You're really shifting smoothly, gettin a feel for the old girl are ya?
I have my bright moments lol
You should put Rain cap$ on it..are your pipe tips long enough??
Damn. I love that. Sound and look. What kinda mileagle do you get in something like that hardly hauling. Like a race car trailer?
I think id be lucky to get 5mpg outa this. We'll see
@@Ol2Stroker damn. Do you think a Detroit would be unhappy about running on veggie? My Mercedes love it as long as it's warmed(and it's run through a centrifuge too). It usually has some percentage of diesel or hydraulic oil mixed in for lube and thinning too. It really seems to clean the stubborn shit out of injectors and quiet them too.
@@jasonbirch1182 detroits love everything
STROKER you gotta buy more batteries and i would get at least 1 good heavy duty jump.pack..you have enough trucks to warrant the price..especially in the winter time when you're playing around with them...thoes batteries get heavy quick..not gonna lie jump packs are heavy too.but not as much as batteries.
I DEFINITELY need to buy some batteries and a jump pack
Need some of that vice grip garage wipe on clear coat
Boy! no more sitting down on the job, now u got ur driver seat to go-up and down with air. other seat too.
I woulda buff the front bumper before u put-it-on. I didn't see u pressure/wash the cab back or top.. cool Pete cabover.
I did the back but not the top. I aint that tall!
MINT!!!
Could you common rail this v12 I'd love to see one of these all done up big turbo manifolds and intercooler and so on
You could, but not this one.
It started that's why you love it
She always starts 😍😍
I usually prefer cabovers too, aesthetically, but I can see why they went to conventionals in the US once they started setting back the front axles, because tilting the cab to get to the engine was harder and because the bus cabs, which I drove, could be a bit too short and nose heavy. Europe still uses them though on their smaller roads.
Keep behind the barn please ✌️
Almost just like the Goliath truck knight rider historians is looking for
Same model
Nice vid Wayne!! Glad to see the old girl out in the sun!! Can't wait for more
Guest appearances!
Hey Wayne, I got some heat shields and some 5 inch stacks I would donate to that Old Cabover. Used stuff but it's in good shape.
Preciate ya. I dunno what I'm gonna do yet
@@Ol2Stroker copy, if you decide you want that look there yours.
Much appreciated where you at?
@@Ol2Stroker I’m in Cincinnati Ohio, don’t think it would be to hateful to ship.
How far is that from kuhnle?
Are you going to remove the white ironwork of the front? It looks like a garden gate 😂
No. Lol
Your intros and group of friends are mint!
We got a good crew.
sucks when life gets in the way of truck stuff. i have a gmc astro and a international 9670 day cab i have wanted to drag out and try to get them running for a long time but more important things always get in the way.
Yea it really sucks.
McHugh Brothers Crane had some of them in the lowers of truck cranes back when I worked there. AmQuip crane had one in a Brockway tractor. Big power back then. Here's a McHugh vid of them moving a crawler with a 6-71 Hendrickson. with a 9 foot wide tandem in 1973 th-cam.com/video/4J2Cie-_uAY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rtuRiWWhxL4iG85N
Hey Bro can I ask you a question .. Why go thru all the hassel of getting them operational then your done.. NO body work NO chrome NO paint work NOTHING .. WTF is up with that ?
Do u deliver cryogenic fuel for space x?
Yes
dear Wayne please wear a toque that head of yours its too shiny
🤣🤣
Love that V12 and Pete Cabovers had a 1972. Pete only had a 350 Cummins in but love that truck to haul cattle
I rode many miles in a truck just like that one as a kid, only difference it was blue and grey, with a air ride seat on the shotgun side. That was one way cool neighbor. Thanks for bringing back that memory. Love me some cabovers. Y'all take care.
Man that's a really cool neighbor! What a great memory thanks for sharing!
Imagine somehow cramming a 24v149 in this
Haaa....forget about making it fit.... you would have to put 1/2 inch frame rails in
@@timcanizares5240 the trucks name would be the somthing like frame twister or something
Let's be more realistic here. I want to seem him fit that 12 V 92 in the cab over, since James pretty pull the pin on putting one in Crystal
@johno6963 I wanna see some twin turbos on that cabover com'on
@@johno6963 It won’t be possible. A 352’s doghouse is a little smaller than a K100.
get RID of that UGLY screen door protector on the grill otherwise LOVE you channel!!! Thanks for the great content
Hi Glenn from Yorkshire how it going I like the BBX👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Got you another subscriber.... great video. Keep them ole Detroits alive, brother.

Fuck…just the fact of a 12v71 being in a truck makes me so damn happy 🤤
I love it Wayne very cool dude
Thanks 👍
That screen door guard on the grille has to go! 😮
I'm not a fan either
New bumper looks so much better 👍😁
I think so too!
Wayne would definitely be Mad Dog Murdoch on the A-Team
As soon as you said pressure cleaner I was saying to myself chalk be gone. Then when I saw the blue paint start to show up and I already looking for neighbor kid before you had even mentioned the chalk coming off. Wayne, you may have noticed already, but the passenger side condenser on the roof is loose and was bouncing as you drove down the driveway. Love the video’s and will watch what ever you want to show us.
Them condensers are in rough shape up there. Ugh.
Ha.. you remind me of the episode where Al Bundy lost his car at the car wash, went in one color came out a different color. Lol, that V12 is something else!!
Lol right! It's night and day!
A friend bought a brand new Freightliner back in the day. It was one sweet sounding truck!
Threaded holes are great until they arent.

Man, I love this old 352! Youve got some really cool rides!
Should have polished the old bumper. It was way cooler.
I love this truck!
