Hey .... As a carpenter of 27 years experience, I can say that you have done an excellent job !!! From the planning out, placement of the mechanicals, to the attention of detail on the finish, .... Every step of the way, it shows !! I am nearing 63 yrs of age, and are planning a cargo trailer build of my own .... I have watched hundreds of You Tube vids on the subject, and seen maybe a dozen cargo builds in person, along the way .... And honestly, yours has to be in the top 5 (I like practical, and simplicity.....) Easy to replace, when an appliance fails ... (which is enevitable, the way things are made these days ...) "Thanks for posting this, ... Reguards, Eric 👌👍👍👍
as a union Foreman with over 40 years experience.... You built a confined space... Packed full of. carcinogens agents ,that causes cancer.... You should have a hazmat list of the chemicals by the door.... 😮
This is awesome. I think I've watched about 200 of these cargo trailer conversion videos and this is definitely one of my favorites. Close to what I would like to build. Thanks for sharing the video and some great ideas.
When you opened the door I was pleasantly surprised. I love it. The design, lay out, colors electrical just the overall thought process and I see where you’re going.
Mine fits my 12 boat up high and ATV under it and once unloaded, my Bed sets up with a porta sink and porta potty. There are so many ways to go with these. Great build!
This is one of the best builds that I've seen!. I am currently putting together my 6x12 TA and the front cabinets has been my hardest part to layout. I may make some changes after seeing how well you layed out yours.
Brain, I have also built two different Cargo conversions, and have come up with a different way to do the window A/C that works great, and doesn't need any additional fans. Hope to make a video of it sometime soon, just finally got the last part to give it the finished looked I wanted for a video, but spent two weeks out west in 106f weather, and it worked great. Would like to add an additional 1" of foam on the ceiling to get the 2" that you have, I think that would make it work that much better. Due to mine being a 6x12 dark gray trailer, I used a 8k A/C, but think with the 2" of insulation, and a different color a 5k might work. Plus I run mine 100% on solar, so it needed to be able to cool down the trailer faster, since I don't leave it running all day. THe portable units definitely use more power, and provide less cooling.
for solar, the controller should auto stop charging the batteries. double check your system to see if it does that (it should). This means you just leave it and forget about it.
You are absolutely right about the portable AC units when I first did my conversion I installed one and framed it out so that the entering and the discharge condenser air was going outside and in Florida it was a sweat box.
Excellent Build! I like how you incorporated under bed storage and garage. I may steal some of your ideas when I finally get around to building a camper. I may have to look up more of your videos. 😆
The cabinets look great. Like the back slash too The ramp may be heavy to hang as a door/awning. I would like a spot to sit in the camper, although most times one maybe in a lawn chair outside. Maybe the best looking dyi that I have seen.
Look for a "Bar sink." The guy at humble road van builds is nuts over the sink he installs in his vans. He says it's the biggest one he can get into his counters. I'm not sure how deep they are but they are more narrow than yours. Watch that channel for any amount of time and you know that guy is an absolute perfectionist. So, if it's good enough for him...
Very nice streamline build. The only complaint would be the missing inside shower toilet combo. Either way, it's awesome to see what you have done, and the layout and craftmanship are on point.
Hi Brian. There is much about your camper that I like. I built the kitchen very similarly. I squared off the triangle same as you with the fridge in the middle on the floor, no drawer. After I raised the floor level up by laying a floating wood floor the fridge often touches and scrapes. Your design is noted!! Because I did not know about thermal bridging when I built the darn thing the walls get red hot where the steel struts are. It transfers that to the inside and my poor 5k AC unit has a devil of a time keeping the place cool. I redid the ceiling this spring with cedar planking and did double insulate defeating the thermal bridging. That worked very well. I had to move into mine on memorial day 2019. No choice. I was living in a failing semi truck and had to move. The AC was the first thing I installed and I had very little idea what I was doing. I used a 5 k and should have used a 6 k. My hot air outlet is not big enough and has no fan. The inlet is fine and doesn't need a fan. I am now trying to figure out an awning. I want to know about yours and also what fan do you recommend for both the fridge exhaust and the AC exhaust. I hope you have time to reply. I have subbed and I look forward to seeing your AC install videos.
I used simple 4 " computer fans that I purchased from Amazon. I will be doing another video on the AC alone because lots of people are interested in how I set mine up.
@@BRIANPAVLICK Thanks for the response and I will do the same thing. In the spring this year I made massive upgrades to my home. Next year it will be the AC / kitchen area. Fans will be going in. I have started using aluminium profile. I built a solar rack trimming the roof of my camper. I am going to use that to attach some sort of awning. I also plan on completely redoing the drawers and generator slide on my pick up truck again with aluminium not wood. The wood I have found is a pain to work with always twisting and rotting just where you don't expect it. Anyway I look forward to your AC install video.
As someone with zero handyman abilities, i congratulate you on, what looks like to me, a really solid build. I liked everything that i saw except for one thing. Im not sure if you said it or not, but the first thing on my checklist would have been a trailer wide enough and long enough right out of the gate that could accommodate a full size queen pillow top mattress. In my humble opinion, that can make the difference between feeling like you're roughing it and feeling like you got away with having complete stealth camping comfort at a deep discount conpared to those behemoth (relatively) sized trailers that are well into the $30K range. I would love to see a trailer close to this size that accommodates a $2-3K Queen. What a luxurious place to start a build! Maybe when you're pushing 60 with a bad back you'll appreciate that concept a little more, ha! Cheers and congrats on a great build!
This thing is awesome. We got a Transcend new for under 20K that is all aluminum on the outside and standard wood framing that I just love. I had a unit with a slide and it was always giving me fits so the Transcend is slidless and nearly the same interior space due to the layout. I would like to build something like what you have but with fold down bunks so I can use it to haul my ATV while hunting and then park it outside to drop down 4 bunks.
Awesome build you have done an outstanding job building this camper not sure if I would build one myself but thinking of maybe trying to build one Thanks for the tips in the video Ideas that if I do I may use.
Hey man, nice presentation. Thanks for sharing your experiences, .. which many of us don't have, of course. I don't know how much more work & expense it would be .. but, something about folding up the bed area, if at all possible .. I probably would do, to allow for a chair-like set-up. But .. your space restriction is very real.
very clean build. your refrigerator should have one side that needs to be open to the air for heat exchange. feel the sides while it is running and the hot side is the heat exchange side
Hey Brian. This build has left me speechless. You have done an incredible job. The attention to deal is impressive. I hope you continue to build these and continue to improve. The storage is plentiful. Great job. How much would you see this for?
Excellent job but as far as the A/C you should’ve gone with the new version of the roof 12 volt air conditioner which are extremely efficient and quiet but again you did a fantastic job
Love the build! I just picked up a 6x12 and will be starting the build soon. This will be my 3rd 🥴. Lots of great ideas you have! I was wondering how deep your upper cabinets are. I will be making all mine and yours look the right size for me. I would also like a link to the door supports. I will be checking out your other videos as well! Great work!
I am in love with this CTC. You have accomplished what my goal is to do with my CTC. I would love for you to see my CTC and give me your input. I am a solo female camper and I want/need mine to be self contained and easy access to the things that might need to be changed out (AC, heat, Fridge, microwave, etc). I love how your solar power is color coded toggle switches inside. I love the roll up blackout curtains with the magnets down to the gray water sink dump container. I also have a ramp on mine that I would like to flip. Just need to fine a welder locally that can do the job. I am in Northwest Georgia.
Looks like you did a beautiful job.👍 Now my only question I have and I feel all of these builds should be giving this information is what is the finished weight of the trailer without consumables or water put in. Also, what is the tongue weight?
Really great build. I would have done a 12v refrigerator 12v AC and lithium batteries. You have plenty of room and I would guess ample cargo capacity. Lithium is starting to get pretty cost effective.
Very neat and detailed. I have an old Toyota motorhome and would love to replace the roof air for a window unit. I know where I want it but am concerned about the water drain. I am on the Gulf Coast and like you, we swim in the humidity. Great video.
I like your trailer hitch setup , For you folks watching this video he did it right one chains are crossed two the hitch is site to the right height . I see a lot of trailers being pulled down the road on with the hitch is too tall . ( wonder why my trailer ride so bad that's why ) Those bar's with the chains i have 3 sites of those . I use them on my car trailer each link in the chain is for more weight on your trailer .
Super build Brian. Inside trailer has a well thought out plan! Couple of questions: I didn’t see any burners for cooking? Also why have you so much open space when you come in from ramp?Full size bed a must👍 Thanks B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦

agreed / more than half of the battle is planning, proper planning makes all the difference in the world

@BRIANPAVLICK
How much does it weigh dry or loaded? Total end cost?
One of the best cargo trailer builds I have seen and I've seen quite a few!
As a fellow camper and self build enthusiast, I too have built my own camper. Congratulations! I can say you have done a great job sir.
When you opened the door I was pleasantly surprised. I love it. The design, lay out, colors electrical just the overall thought process and I see where you’re going.
What a fantastic build, I would change that gray tank but you probably know by now those totes crack very easily.
Well done Sir.
This is wonderful! And I do like the compass art - a subliminal way of showing others you know where you’re going.
Mine fits my 12 boat up high and ATV under it and once unloaded, my Bed sets up with a porta sink and porta potty. There are so many ways to go with these. Great build!
Nice design.
I love how everything is so streamlined.
All the wires and electrical is hidden from view.
Also love the colors and accents very chic.
Wow, stunning build! This has got to be the best I've ever seen. Great design and impressive workmanship, great job.
I am really interested to see exactly how you did that A/C unit.
Please do a video about that soon...😁
Same here! Currently in the process of building one, and I think I'll end up with an upper cabinet hosting the AC unit in the same manner.
I just uploaded the ac video.
I am at Carpenter of 30 years. Excellent job.
You sir,, are a real craftsman. Neat, well arranged camper. Thank you for sharing this.
Very nice job. Neat , clean and attractive without being over the top. Excellent use of space.
This is one of the best builds that I've seen!.
I am currently putting together my 6x12 TA and the front cabinets has been my hardest part to layout. I may make some changes after seeing how well you layed out yours.
Very nice build, simple, clean and efficient. Well done! 👍
Thanks for the kind comments. It has definitely been a labor of love.

What a beautiful home! Great job! I would love too have one like this. Brilliant build!❤🙏 Jane in SC
Really nice layout, no space wasted!
Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful....... your built is one of the BEST
Wow, thank you!
for solar, the controller should auto stop charging the batteries. double check your system to see if it does that (it should). This means you just leave it and forget about it.
Great build. Looks Awesome. I have an idea; on your back splash you could put a magnetic strip to hold kitchen knives when you make camp.
You are absolutely right about the portable AC units when I first did my conversion I installed one and framed it out so that the entering and the discharge condenser air was going outside and in Florida it was a sweat box.
This is one of the best I have seen. Looks great!
Excellent Build! I like how you incorporated under bed storage and garage. I may steal some of your ideas when I finally get around to building a camper. I may have to look up more of your videos. 😆
This is way better thought out and better built than my gigantic toy hauler rv. Great job.
Nice job. We have an outdoor shower with instant water heater - but we rarely use it because we usually stay where there is a bathhouse. Stay safe.
That is a really nice cargo camper…you did a excellent job on it!!!
The cabinets look great.
Like the back slash too
The ramp may be heavy to hang as a door/awning.
I would like a spot to sit in the camper, although most times one maybe in a lawn chair outside.
Maybe the best looking dyi that I have seen.
Love your trailer man. I'm working on one right now myself. You DIYers are very inspirational
Really nice job. Beautifully put together.
Great job Brian, excellent use of the space, and great ideas for improvements.
Awesome job. Nice hat too.
Eff um if they dont like it.
Im looking at 6x10 aluminum.
Awesome build. I am really impressed. Happy camping and stay safe. :)
You really have an awesome build! Good job!
I just found your videos. I will try to watch them all. Thank you.
Brian, you have been doing a great job so far. (Pls. Let us know how the shower is going to be like.) Again, what a great job.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Awesome camper! You may want to change your rear access hinge to the top and use the gate as an awning.
NICE! I love how cheap it would be to maintain over the years.
Amazing build i love this unit well thought out lots of counter space and comforts of home
Very nice streamline build. The only complaint would be the missing inside shower toilet combo. Either way, it's awesome to see what you have done, and the layout and craftmanship are on point.
thats what koa is for...theres bathrooms and showers at KOA rv parks
Excellent work. Wish I had your skills. GREAT VIDEO
Really nice build. Detailing and care is awesome.
Holy smokes does that look awesome! I could live full time out of that! Great stuff!
Beautiful build and a great use of every space!
Glad you like it!
Lots to learn here. I really like the wire chases and accessible everything. Impressive build. Thanks so much for sharing.
Very nice build. Now I want one just to go out on overnights. Good job.
Very nicely converted cargo trailer into a camper 👍

Unbelievable build A true inspiration Thank you
Great design and workmanship, please post how you did the AC
Wow, amazing quality built. Congratulations! The best small cargo trailer. Excellent.

Outstanding build! Garage under bed is such a good use of space.
Clean clean clean looking...def like the outside silver and nautical.
Good work!!!
very clean build. your refrigerator should have one side that needs to be open to the air for heat exchange. feel the sides while it is running and the hot side is the heat exchange side
This thing is really cool! Did anyone else notice that roach under the sink?
Very inspirtaional build, just picked up a 6X10 today and cant wait to start my build.
What a nice clean sanitary installation dude! Bravo 👏😊
Very sweet build…looks so professional. Great job, I got a lot of ideas for my build. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star

like this ramp idea since i use a motorised scooter mobility
I want to say I saw your trailer in Cape Coral probably a week ago. Very nice build. Looks beautiful. My wife and I are starting our build soon.
Amazing. Just bought a trailer. Looking for ideas. I appreciate you sharing this.
Stunning. Absolutely, perfectly stunning.
I love your camper sir! I would live in it!
You did a a really good job!

Woah...I wish I was handy! That thing is slick. Congrats!
Well done. We have a very different build based on different needs. I'm gonna steal your backsplash design if you don't mind 😊
Wow that is so nice! You should do that as a business very good build!
Nice build Brian
Great build!! Thanks to sharing it.
Looks like you did a beautiful job.👍 Now my only question I have and I feel all of these builds should be giving this information is what is the finished weight of the trailer without consumables or water put in. Also, what is the tongue weight?
that thing is sweet you need to draw floor plans need some blueprints great job bud
You did a great job on that build
Looks awesome! I got a brand new 6x12 in May and the unfinished interior got me conversion curious.
Really great build. I would have done a 12v refrigerator 12v AC and lithium batteries. You have plenty of room and I would guess ample cargo capacity. Lithium is starting to get pretty cost effective.
Your carpentry is amazing
Beautiful build. Thanks for the video!
Awesome build!!! Wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks!
Fabulously AMAZING, so well done.
Love from Yorkshire England
Thank You from across the pond!
Nice work and design.
Very neat and detailed. I have an old Toyota motorhome and would love to replace the roof air for a window unit. I know where I want it but am concerned about the water drain. I am on the Gulf Coast and like you, we swim in the humidity. Great video.
