Ok what your going to want to get is a bow with REGULAR arrows and once its low and RUNNING Away from you, get your wooden bat or sling shot , and knock it out, get some high ground as well or stand far away, the way this guy did it on his video sucks

Or you could just get a Rex and kill everyone
Most of my dilos can kill a 100 level trike alone I have seen them do it
You need big packs to do that... They're like a support class raptor that can stun an opponent... I would tame a dilo for early game but if I had a choice between 10 dilos and 3 raptors it will be the raptor

I remember when I was a beginner I tamed my first Dino I got super happy 5 seconds later he got mauled by a grizzly bear and I was devastated
Therizinosaurus still gives me ptsd, i only survived once with a raptor, cuz maybe he run out of stamina and my dino survived 3 attack somehow
I remember getting 4-6 dilos being super happy because I was on East casual mode and they were top level... I tried hunting some moschops and I punched one that ran into a bronto and all of them got bodied... This was on mobile btw...
Me and some friends had 2 trikes and a parasaur and an lvl 151 alpha raptor spawned killed us all and killed all the dinos, took us a while to take it out considering we were like level 10
@@fao. trikes are notoriously quick to die considering thier head armour... I got attacked by an alpha raptor and my trike died first. Another instance I though herding my animals together would help them kill a therezinosaur. The freaking trike died faster than my just tamed iguanodon...

The first thing I tamed in ark was a dilo I accidentally left it on aggressive it attacked a trike we both died together next attempt I tamed a dodo.

It’s easy! Just bring a bola and a slingshot or tranq arrows if you’re there yet. You can even punch it into unconsciousness. Put a bunch of a mejoberries and a few narco berries

i have a parasaur called tinky winky and he is a war machine. he has seen my friends two parasaur die, he has killed raptors, he's been through some shit

you forgot that the Parasaur also have a skill that warns when ever it is close to an enemy so having one at you're base as a warning system is a good idea too.
(Though this is a 3 year old video so that skill might have been added in much later after this video was made, still thought I point that out)

Same, Im lvl 38, i have an army of raptors, dilos and carnos, and a few other dinos along with a ptera, just bola the raptor and throw things at its face. Keep track of the bola durability when the raptor is trapped. I had to learn that the hard way.

I 2 hit a Rex with one, it was level 2 and I had the melee damage at 4401%
Every time I start a new character they're my first tame. They aren't super slow, they get berries and thatch pretty good, they can carry a decent amount for a low level and you can get them down with your fists if you want. Also they're eggs help catch Raptors I think which I also like.
One time, I tamed a parasuar and it took 10 minutes he was a pretty high level and then as soon as he awoke he was eaten

I was looking for raptors in Ark on a public server and I anciently killed 3 raptors but then I see something attacking trikes and I traq it with arrows and it turns out too be a carnotarus :D

One trike ended up saving our base from a raptor attack after we lost all of our stuff and had to basically re-start
When I started the game, my very first encounter was with a Carno. Eventually once I got a bit of bearings I tamed a dodo (not for defense but for company), a parasaur for getting around next, then a trike for defense, then a bronto for resource gathering, then I tamed a Rex. I saddled up the para and the trike asap as the saddles were pretty much available right away. Bronto and Rex took a lot longer but the bronto could carry a lot so I always had it on passive and follow.

Try the charge attack I found their usually faster when doing that at least on mobile

Shouldn't ARK turn Triceratops into a knockback Dino? I mean it should be like a Wooly Rhino, except Wooly Rhino gets bigger damage on sprint. Triceratops should have the same thing, they should be able to knockback dinos like T-Rex and Spino in sprint but of course not Bronto, Giga or Titan. Btw the Triceratops was a T-Rex's worst nightmare in the Cretaceous Period.
it would make it too unbalanced and would make the wooly rhino completely useless, since why would any one use the wooly rhino while the trike is easier to tame?

i was wondering around online map when boom a compy gremling actually 3 2 eye poison gremlings and 3 raptors where after me i scaped the gremlings but the raptors somehow held me down when i tried to swim away

Trikes definitely a good one. The knock back effect means you can kill anything as you're attack speed is much better than the A.I. Thou do stay away from anything glowing.
Best way to get one is just run between palm trees till he gets stuck...
I remember trying to knock out a triceratops as soon as I saw one 😂 I died at least 8 times before I realized I either needed a better weapon or a better level...

as a bigginer, dilo by far the most easy and useful, i have like 7 of them tamed and whenever a raptor attacks me all my dilos kill him
Here’s the first 5 tamed you wanna go for in ark.
1.moschops -once leveled up can deal damage
2.trike (berries/weight tank)
3.ichy (water transport+ easy to tame)
4.raptor (early+easy carnivore and fast)
5.pteranodon (air transport)
This is also personal preference and most suitable on the island map. But it’s better then the list this dude put.
Thats your opinion, some people might think his list is better.

I always tame myself dinos lvl 80-150. Sometimes dinos like phinomia i tame on lvl 16 cause i only need them to shit on the floor and some dinos like doedicorus doesnt need to be high level but all the dinos like t-rex, giga, carno and so on have to be over lvl 80. My first dino on a private server was a t-rex lvl 120 XD.

AkA_luca Doedic would be great if it was high lvl as well but it doesn't need to be. It has crappy stamina at low lvl and I usually collect a lot of stone so I use it's roll to move faster to the base. I have a lot of stone around my base so I don't need to take it away with a quetsal.
Tho flying quetzals these days is a pain because of their speed. Rather the lack of it. How the hell is it supposed to stay in the air if it moves barely faster than a snail.
Also high lvl doedic is more useful in scorched earth because sand doesn't get lighter in it's inventory and you want to be able to carry a lot of sand so you can build adobe structures.
Rock elemental is the way to go but it's not like you can get one from the get go.
Parasaur - Turret ability is to identify predators in the area and mark them with a flashing red dot. Extremely handy when you're new and squishy
I know this is an old vid, but I would personally swap out the parasaur or the dilo with the carbonemys or big turtle, it’s pretty low level saddle, you just need some cementing paste, and it can take you underwater and it’s pretty tanky

I've been using creative lately whenever I get in trouble or ill summon dinos and forcetame them 😅 its gotten pretty boring because of that so I've been watching your video to try and get back on track 😂

My favorite beginner tame is the iguanodon. It gives you tons of berries and is a great mount. Highlyrecommend. Edit: my idea as beginner is level 30 or below

Im so thankfull this is like for VERY NEWBIES like me. I normally do tame parasaur’s and dilo’s, if i find some turtles forgot the name I Will tame does too. I start a few months ago, i played before that but that was YEARS ago where i only played for a few days. I watch a lot ark :p

If you attack the grass while on a parasaur, you get so many berries, and seeds
Trikes, stegos, stuff like that are close to as easy and 10x more efficient

Lol my first tame in ark when I was a noob was a Mammoth. I spawned at the snow biome and survived lol prob not the best starter biome in solo

Early on that parasaur was a life saver for me. Can outrun most of the predators i ran into. Small predators are scared off by its roar. Could carry a lot of weight for building up new bases. Has a kind of radar abikity so i can more easily avoid large predators (which i wish i knew about that sooner other my first parasaur would still be here)

When i first started i had two dodos then came a sarco. So after my small base was gone and my dodos dead i was still around lvl 5 and i tamed a trike. It was my first time playing too
Those annoying bird things got my dodos after I lost my other dinos in a swamp and died. The dinos are still out there. Somewhere...

The moschop is also good but you wanna see what it eats before getting berries. No saddle, harvesting upgrade level, somewhat fast, great harvester. But they’re picky for taming food and they don’t fight for you unless you’re riding it and use it’s attack.

4: Megaladon
3: Spinosaurus
2: T-Rex
1: Unicorn

My level 177 dilo killed 2 level 30 raptors. They are underestimated
For a trike early on I recommend staying away with tranq arrows and a bow and kiting it, going in water is a good idea, but always stay far away even if you’re high up cause they can knock you 40 feet off a rock and knock you out in about 5 seconds if you’re up close. So just stay away and kite. It’s not a very good battle Dino, and it’s extremely slow, but it harvests basically enough berries to feed a tribe for days (a lot of berries!) and also thatch and fiber for basic early game huts.
Another tip if u don’t have trike to do your dirty harvesting work then take a moschops when it’s close to fern whistle stop and it will harvest a load of berries
