From a modification perspective, one aspect that makes the TF40 315 (both 18x20 and 16x19) unique is the relativity large disparity between the low swing weight and high static weight (19pts and 17pts difference respectively). IMO it makes the this racket a brilliant platform stick. From what I’m seeing this makes scalable modification quite easy; by example adding varying degrees of weight at just 3 and 9 both swing weight and static weight keep a fairly similar relationship with balance point. For anyone into the mgr/i game this figure remains fairly similar as more weight is added around the hoop with just recoil weight and polarisation changing and balance to a lesser extent.
Just hit today with an hour with the TF40 315 16*19 with a beginner hitting partner. Tomorrow, I'll hit with a very advanced one. First impressions: phenomenal one-handed backhand hits and slices. On the forehand, it's very maneuverable. More after I hit tomorrow.
Great stuff, i've always wanted a TF305 in 16x19 , still got my 18x20 from previous, infact no one really knows, but the Solinco Whiteout is supposed to be the TF40 mould from the same factory (at least it was, not sure if it's changed now) and it's 16x19, so wonder how these differ to each other
I was one step away from getting my hands on a Solinco Whiteout 305, but just yesterday I traded a Wilson Blade v5 18*20 that I've only played 6-7 hours and didn't enjoy with a Tecnofibre TF40 16*19. Today, I got to hit with it for an hour with a beginner hitting partner. Tomorrow, if weather isn't rainy, I'll play with a very advanced hitting partner. So, from just one hour I can't say a lot, but I'll get back here with my first impressions.
I don’t remember what I said in the video but I would assume I thought it was easier to use because of the 16x19 pattern and med headlight feel. Grip size should be equal
Hi! Could you help me to choose the right racket ? I was using Blade v 7 and Blade v9. I am ok with Blades , but try to take a new racket. I played with Gravity pro - very good felling but so pain in my wrist. Too heavy for me and my one-hand backhand . I was playing with Yonex Percept. Very comfort racket , but i can t perform well with this racket like a Blade. So now i am thinking about 2 control rackets. cx 200 tour 16x19 and TF 40 16x19. Actually i am playing with 16x19 better than with 18x20. My best performing is blade v7 16x19, I am playing so agressive and feel all angles. i try to find something simillar and it is so tough (
@@Tennisrally_ I just want a new frame. My old blade v7 it is almost broken. Blade v8 and 9 i dont like. I try to choose between tf 40 16x19 and tf 40 18x20. Hard to choose , becacuse i like flat style of play but in the same time 18x20 its to demanding. Sometimes my backhands with 18x20 it too short
In terms of a one handed backhand there is no racquet more optimal for it. Both of the racquets you mention suit a one hander because of it's smaller head size which gives better maneuverability. Think more of a bigger picture when choosing a frame. Both are excellent.
I would say it depends on your playing ability and technique. Personally I use a lot of wrist so I need to be able to maneuver it easy and not tense up, therefore the 315 is better for me. You'll have to play with it and feel for yourselves to get the best result. Both are great options, a 305 can always be customized into a 315 static weight
It’s hard to say exactly. Similar to a Prestige MP 2021, a bit lower than an Extreme Tour. Maybe a Pure Strike 18x20 as well. This is just about power then and nothing else.
Definitely more pop due to a bit higher stiffness and thicker beam. I would prefer it simply because you get more out of your strokes. Blades and prestige’s are more controlled and you need to generate more on your own. Different feel overall, more “modern” if you like.
The TF40 is a more forgiving racquet with a bigger head size, very all-round. Vcore is a more whippy and fast racquet, you get incredible swing speed through contact. Both two great racquets, I reckon you demo both if you’re having trouble deciding
I really love the TF40 18x20. When it hit it is great, but in matches, the grip shape gets in my head since I cant find my grip on returns. Is there any way to modify the grip to make it rounder. I want to switch but I am focusing more on my grip than my shots at times?
I really like the 305 if it wasn’t for the rectangular grip shape. Solinco is to muted for me. I go for the Extreme Tour since it’s the most familiar for me as well
I think you mean't the grip was more square not rectangular becuase you said the different bevels were the same size, you would not get that with a rectangular shape for obvious reasons
I had a question for you that I was curious about. You gave the racquet great reviews for the most part (minus the grip shape) but besides that you looked like you were really grooving with the 305 18x20. I recently switched to the 305 18x20 after demoing it for a week and I bought 3 and totally switched from my Blade V8’s. I’m a 5.5+ player and you’re a solid player, so I was wondering if this is a racquet you could switch to? Or are you satisfied with your Radical? I loved that this racquet was super plush/soft but for the weight it was very sturdy and crisp. Very good spin for an 18x20 as well with amazing control. I didn’t really find any downsides. I liked the balance as well. Curious to know if you could switch to this? If not, are there any racquets right now that you’re interested in switching to? Radical is a year or two old now.
Hi! I could definitely switch to the TF40 if the grip was more to my preference, yes. It is a great racquet with only like one downside, but to me that makes a huge difference. Right now I’m testing the new Blade V8’s and really enjoying the 16x19, possible switch
It was quite cold on Sunday and several days off the courts due to bad weather conditions this time of the year in Greece. I got to play with the TF40 315 16*19 for about an hour. First time hitting with a Tecnifibre racket. This TF40 is a keeper for me! Loved it right away. Very easy to hit the backhand slice, very maneuverable on the forehand. Fits great in my level and style of play! th-cam.com/video/SpiP8iE2DFs/w-d-xo.html

Wow, that would be interesting to try. I’ve heard some great stuff about the Solinco racquets so that makes sense.

always nice to see a review from someone who can play well
For comfort which would you take-Solinco Whiteout 305 or the TF40 304 both 18x20?
Great hitting and review thanks! I appreciate all you do! 💪👊🙏🎾
Why is 315 easier than 305? Which you prefer also is grip soze bigger so if i use 2 , i should buy size 1?

I am using the stick but lacking little bit of ball speed.

I bought 2 TF 40 (16x19) 315, one came 4 grams heavier then the other , I do not know yet how to compensate , bummer ☹️
Try to figure out the balance and then use lead tape to make them as equal as possible.

The only thing I can think of right now is to tape underneath the base grip to make it more round, it will also get a bit bigger if so.
I think tecnifibre rackets have removable grip pallets, so you can actually replace the handle for one you prefer

@@Tennisrally_ what's better in 305 vs extreme tour if grip shape wasn't a problem ?
Are you still playing with pure strike 18x20 ? Does it offers more power than 16x19 TF40 305 ?
I’m not currently using it but I would say they have similar power levels, yes.

I don’t know what I said about the bevels but I for sure mean that the grip is rectangular, Tecnfibre trademark
