    When I Demoed the old version of the TF40 - it felt pretty good. When I made the buy of 2 they both felt different and off spec. If you go on TW message boards- there are a lot of complaints about technifibre Quality control. When I weighed both of mine - one came in at 299 G and 304. US. Swing weights were both below 320.
    I’m sticking with my Ezone 98. Both came in at the shop of 306 G US. Strung swing weight about 318. Added 9 grams under the head guard. And 2.5 in the throat. And it feels amazing.

      that's the problem with +5 /-5 though. Wilson is worse at +10 / -10.
      either way, it's important to get the shop to match the sticks before you buy, because the more advanced you become, the easier it is to tell the difference even if it's like 5 grams.
      i bought both my 2019 tf40 305 sticks separately and they're like 6 grams apart because one is +3 and the other is -3 off the specs. This also resulted in a head balance difference of 0.5 points. to make things worse, the lighter one is the head heavier racquet so i can't modify with lead tape unless i increase both racquets' weights which i can't handle. Since I'm not that advanced a player, i just compensate with the string tension, higher (50lbs) on the head heavier frame and lower (46lbs) on the head lighter frame.
      i have to say though, for such miniscule differences, the head lighter but overall heavier racquet sure makes me fatigue faster due to the need for good fundamentals (engaging the core to generate power on groundstrokes, etc). so might be a good thing i have a slightly lighter but head heavier racquet to switch to once i'm tired.

    I like the 18x20s for doubles now that I’m playing strictly doubles now. Definitely better control and precision on my shots. Better flat ball for me and volleys are better. I use the previous Yonex VCORE Pro 97 it suits my net attacking style much better. If I played singles more I would definitely use a wider string pattern like my old Blade

    Compared to a speed pro 360+ which has bigger spin potential? And is the balance easy for volleys? Thanks

    Comprei uma TF40, 18x20, 11,1oz, 305gr ou 315gr com rede, uma raquete excelente, na pancada responde muito bem às bolas do adversário, sinto muito conforto e controlo, bato forte mas se fosse mais pesada creio que batia mais forte mas perdia as outras qualidade, é uma raquete para se estar em campo a responder às bolas e a bater não é uma raquete muito fácil porque exige técnica apurada para encostar o adversário ao fundo como não tem muito peso é mais de controlo do que power o braço faz um bom balance com esta raquete mas vai pedir muito braço, digo isto porque estou muito habituado à minha velhinha Hammer 4.4 headsize 95 e penso que tem 345gr-333gr com muito peso na cabeça, esta Tecnifibre tem uma cabeça 630in - headsize 98 é completamente diferente com 315gr total bem destribuida, para quem estava habituado a pregar as bolas com um 🔨 agora bato nas bolas com o conforto de um stick que exige mais técnica 🏌️!

    What string is in your demo racquet? I have previous TF40 came second hand with Triax string very comfortable good feel but not much spin. May restring to get more spin as I use the Aero 98 VS for match play strung with Blast RPM but may change to a softer set up at some point. Aero VS very powerful but also great control. Also have been testing Extreme Tour like all three but Aero VS favourite for match and serious practice. TF40 is better for serve IMO. Ezone 98 not powerful enough for me.

    How does it compare to the Gravity Tour?

    • @dustyroot4708
      @dustyroot4708 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s more maneuverable than the Gravity Tour, but it has a smaller sweet spot. If you live at the baseline, the Gravity Tour is better. If you’re more creative and like to frequently move forward and have quick exchanges, I’d go with the TF40. There is the 16x19 version also. They all feel really good at impact. All great racquets.

    What’s the best racket or rackets for 3.0-3.5 players?

    • @williamdean9326
      @williamdean9326 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No such thing as the best, rackets are subjective. Maybe you are looking for the most popular rackets for a 3.0 to 3.5.

    I play men’s senior doubles with a OS Hyperhammer 5.3. I have demo’d ~ 20+ players racquets which with a couple exceptions feel like a board. Why do tweener racquets seem to offer more feel ? I have noticed on your videos that feel seems to be somewhat elusive with player, control racquets. Thanks

      Have you tried the 2019 Vcore Pro HD by any chance? I use full poly (Polytour Pro 16L) strung at 52 lbs, and it’s really plush and really pockets the ball.

      What works for someone else might not work for you. Just experiment with lead amount and placement. If it is too light in the head experiment with amount and placement in the hoop. Too heavy in the head, add in the handle

    No need to categorize racquets by string patterns. Play with Prince Bryan Bros Limited 18x20, and have played with Prince Tour 95 16x19. Both play great. A dense string pattern makes minimal difference if racquet is designed well, as the demo player Coach Gu confirmed. He was able to generate spin with no problem with the dense 18x20.

    • @muskistutter
      @muskistutter 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's NOT silly at all. String patterns can make a world of difference in feel and performance. And industry reviewers make a note of it every time..
