Hello! I'm Tennisrally (also known as Hampus). I'm a young aspiring tennisplayer who likes to test new stuff way too much. I'm reviewing the latest tennis products on the markets. I am a student, coach and ERSA E-Pro Stringer from Sweden, Gothenburg.
Of course I listen to my followers and will review stuff they want me to as well! I've played tennis practicly my whole life (born in 2004) and I've grown as a person and my interests of gear has risen high and made me a bit of a nerd on this subject. I know way to much to not learn others and use it everyday, that's why I'm doing this and to test the newest gear in tennis.
This channel is for eveyone looking for a new racquet and need a little help to find the right one and to the people just interested in tennis gear. It might be hard to find what you're looking for and if so just contact me on Instagram or write a comment on one of my videos! If you like what you see then please subscribe!

NEW STRING! Head Lynx Touch String Review
Thanks for the video mate.
How did you go in the final. Did you stick with the pure drive?. If not what racket are you using now. Thanks
Lost in the final eventually, played with the pure drive. Right now I’m playing with the new Head Gravity Tour
Ok nice. I guess the gravity does offer more control. I use the prestige tour but do enjoy the pure drive as it makes tennis easy !!@Tennisrally_
@@Tennisrally_gravity tour alot more control for your fast stroked. I using prestige tour but do enjoy the pure drive.
Do you use a semi western grip for your forehand? Great review, many thanks.
Thank you, I’m in between eastern and semi-western. Been trying more and more to go towards semi-western in the last few weeks
I was literally looking for sneakers... excellent video
Head prestige tour 18-19 ?
Great reviews! I have have played 5 years with 98 don't know if is 18-20 or 16x19 :-) I cant see on the frame. Now I bought a 100 16x20. I played for 3 weeks now and it still to often lunches aka goes far so I don't trust it. Then I ad more top spin at it comes short. So I cant seem to plough through any more. The 98 I could just hit it really hard and trust it. I do have some racket head dip to create top spin but not super top spin player. My grip is semi western. I think I will try the 98 4th gen. Or I could try go for 26kg strings for the 100 it is currently 24 Any thoughts on my observations?
Thank you! I don’t see why you shouldn’t play with the 98 since you clearly enjoy that frame! I wouldn’t go up in tension with your current if you know that 24kg in a PS98 will work. Always try to stay as low as possible in tension, without getting the fear of overhitting of course. With a semi western grip there should be no problem keeping the ball in with either of those two racquets
what racquet do you think addresses hitting the ball too long, and compensates for your slight error? I have the same problem personally, so I am thinking of getting a racquet that counteracts that and gives a lot of control
I have recently played with a Blade 18x20 v8. Does the job very nicely but I have felt lately maybe it is too controlled
@@Tennisrally_ do you like TF40 305?
thats a very cozy looking tennis court
Thx Roger!
Good review. Gorgeous tennis court.
Great review… I wonder how this PD 100 compares to the new Ezone 100, and which do you prefer?
Thanks! I haven’t yet tried to the Ezone 100 unfortunately
the problem in these reviews is that they string the racket with a poly which is not normally used by many rec players in my opinion. Why not test the two with a hybrid or a full be dmulti? that takes the edge off the stiffness? I have the prior version and tested it with the new version using velocity mlt at 52 lbs. I felt the power was controllable and the comfort level just better. I am a 4.5 but older person wiltlh a sore shoulder!!
Most use poly because of the Money value. Most havent a knowledge, they just give the racket to anybody in the club, for a stringing job and thats it.
I would break a multifilament in one hour or so considering I snapped the main strings after 2.5 hours with RPM Blast
@@dmf30 with right technik and setup and muscle fitness, I play the Tour version ( 74 RA) with no issues and I am a disabled person.
@@Tennissensitive I am pretty strong but older and my shoulders are somewhat worn!!! Good for you though. You may have better strokes than i do.
@@dmf30 Why would someone older ever play with a Pure Drive? And why would you string that tight? Lol. Are you self-rated 4.5?
Nice! I've been playing the a demo PD 2021, and i like it a lot! You said is more comfortable: is it noticeable the lower stifness? I actually like it so i'm afraid the new model is too soft
definitely not too soft!!!
Not soft but better feeling at impact
You have a nice, classic form. Getting Federer and Edberg vibes!
Was waiting for it =)
Thanks for this great review! always interesting and informative 🎾💪💯🎯👈‼️
Thanks Hampus for this excellent review! 👍💯 are you still coaching? best wishes for the new year 🙋♂️
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes I am still doing some coaching, not a lot but a few hours every week. Best wishes to you man!
@Tennisrally_ 💯👍🙏 Thanks, cool
👏👏💯🎾 thanks so much for this review! Happy New Year 🎊
no need for the starting clamp on the first cross, better way to start the first cross with a starting knot!
What string and tension do you use in prestige tour?
I don’t remember for sure, I’m pretty sure I mention it in the video. I think it was Head hawk, or hawk touch 1.25
You need to switch to extreme pro your backhand was bombish with it
Good review! Which racket has balance between power and control Tour or MP? Actually i am playing with TF 40 18X20 and thinking about to try Tour or MP? Which is better for one-hand backhand and flat game?
Looks like PD98 would be good on you can you tey it
The Prestige Pro 16x19 works very well for me. I come from the ProStaff 97 V13 and I like the feel of the Prestige Pro 16x19 very much!
Your top 5 full bed polys?
I can just go from what I’ve used lately, haven’t played around with strings too much lately. Lynx Tour is definitely top 5. Solinco Hyper-G is up there. Mayami Tour Hex. I really like Tourna big hitter silver 7 but it’s too sharp and ruins the grommets too much. A lot of polyester are so alike and the difference and playability is minimal. I like a shaped string that’s not too stiff or too soft either. Great value round profile string is Head Lynx, comfortable as well
@@Tennisrally_ so is lynx tour best full bed poly?of those you tried
@curiousgeorge6921 Lynx Tour or Hyper-G (a bit softer). We use Head strings for our customers in my local club and a lot of players seems to enjoy Lynx Tour, some have been using RPM Blast and so on but it is very pricey
Great review!
Maybe you should reharse before doing a review 😊
Thanks Coach Hampus! Excellent review 💯🎾🙋♂️ The bag looks very nice!!👍
Smaller than the large Head bags and way over priced. Shame there is not a bag larger than the Head bags
A bit expensive yes, no need for a larger bag for the majority of players
@@Tennisrally_ I do like a larger bag though. Annoying to have too many bags when travelling
What string uou use now
Mayami Tour Hex at the moment in my blade v8 18x20 at 23/22kg
This or 4g which you prefer
Haven’t tried 4g due to the high stiffness and high price
Thanks for the review, really helps
Thanks great review! I've missed some of your videos, don't know why I didn't get notifications, Hope you are doing well 🎾💯💪🙏
You use v9 blade now ?
V8 18x20
@@Tennisrally_ do you prefer the blade or this? Please let me know specifically which you think are advantages and disadvantages of each. Thank you so much for your incredible reviews!
@cboria148 I would go with Blade all day. More control and easier to use for my style and technique. It’s also a lot about feel and comfort. Babolat racquets are too stiff and therefore also more powerful and uncomfortable.
@ thank you so much!
How would you compare this to the HEAD Prestige Tour - also 95si?
Quite similar, very similar specs. Hard to spot and real differences. I would like to say the Tour 95 has a wider spread of mains in the string pattern and therefore a little higher launch and maybe a bit more spin potential. Not the most forgiving two racquets (compared to a Vcore 95). I did find it harder to control (Prince) at times, no big difference.
@@Tennisrally_ Thanks much for the reply & all the racket reviews posts otherwise 👍as always interesting to hear your thoughts & opinions☮
how this compare with your blade 18\20?
It’s a stiffer layup that provides with more “pop”/power out of the string bed. I string my Blades lower to access power while in a Strike maybe I would up 1kg in tension for comparison. The 16x19 is a completely different racquet but the 18x20 is as close as it gets a Blade in Babolat line up. Thicker frame, stiffer frame, string pattern is tighter in the middle and gets wider towards the edges which equals more forgiveness and more control when hitting the middle. Maybe a bit more “modern” and the Blade would be old school, constant thin beam and a standard 18x20 pattern
my Friend, what you string use now?
At the moment I am using Tour Hex from a smaller brand called Mayami. I tend to go for shaped polyester strings that are mid stiff, not to high but not soft
hey man)) what the better tou you? your Blade 18\20 or head prestige mp 2023?) thx)
Of course I like my Blades more, therefore I am using them ;). I like the overall feel and visuals more of the Blades and also the specifications. Blade 18x20 would be more comparable with Prestige Pro
Why is 315 easier than 305? Which you prefer also is grip soze bigger so if i use 2 , i should buy size 1?
I don’t remember what I said in the video but I would assume I thought it was easier to use because of the 16x19 pattern and med headlight feel. Grip size should be equal
I just got a pair of these. They are too damn light. I’m going to add lead and hopefully that helps. I don’t understand the idea of a lightweight “players” racquet. Needs much more plow through. Btw the perfect weight to me is between 11-12oz and between 330-340 swingsweight.
Why did you buy a pair if you thought they were too light and weren't sure if adding weight would help? Lightweight players racquets are a thing. If Alcaraz can be Alcaraz with a stock PA 98, it all comes down to preference.
@@circuitmouth I was given a pair because my old Babolat Pure Strike Tour 3rd Gen were defective, and I thought these would be the closest thing from the current lineup. Perhaps you're right about players' preferences changing, but personally I enjoyed the weight/swingweight of the previous generation. It felt they were way more meaty when you went after the ball. There is nothing really on the market like that anymore, save for the RF98 or whatever it's called, but I don't want to pay $300 for Federer's dumb signature (or to support the Wilson/ANTA brand).
@@NikoMalekMusic Yeah I was gonna say, I think the RF-01 Pro might be what you’re looking for. Maybe some version of the Prestige or Percept, too. Percept 97H maybe? I’m a Blade V9 18x20 user and have been side eyeing these new strikes for a while now. Either the 97 or the 100 16x20. The lighter swing weight is starting to appeal to me after demoing the 300g RF-01 and feeling like I could really go after the ball with a nice whippy shot.
You prefer tour or pro 16:19?
Tour, there is simply no mass in the Pro 16x19. Can’t tell you which one is better when customized more though
Finally. A real player reviews a racquet.
I thought you looked like Theim on the backhand side before you said it :) I always wondered, what is your tennis background and level? Your technique is very smooth!
Thanks! Just playing tournaments in Sweden. No special background, started playing when I was 10 years old 10 years ago. I play division 3 at the moment in our regional league.
Hi! Could you help me to choose the right racket ? I was using Blade v 7 and Blade v9. I am ok with Blades , but try to take a new racket. I played with Gravity pro - very good felling but so pain in my wrist. Too heavy for me and my one-hand backhand . I was playing with Yonex Percept. Very comfort racket , but i can t perform well with this racket like a Blade. So now i am thinking about 2 control rackets. cx 200 tour 16x19 and TF 40 16x19. Actually i am playing with 16x19 better than with 18x20. My best performing is blade v7 16x19, I am playing so agressive and feel all angles. i try to find something simillar and it is so tough (
Hello! First question: why can’t you play with the blade v7? Or do you just want a new frame?
@@Tennisrally_ I just want a new frame. My old blade v7 it is almost broken. Blade v8 and 9 i dont like. I try to choose between tf 40 16x19 and tf 40 18x20. Hard to choose , becacuse i like flat style of play but in the same time 18x20 its to demanding. Sometimes my backhands with 18x20 it too short
Check this out: T-fight 305 RS
I always release clamp base before string clamp to reduce scuffing of the strings. USRSA recommends NOT tensioning extra for knots.
What string and tension do you use in this play test?
23kg
@@Tennisrally_ in all of rackets?
@felipepoisson9734 yes
U play well with pro did you think of switching to it
There was a thought in my mind but it never came down to that
@@Tennisrally_ still with vc95? Whats better about it
Playing with the Blade v8 18x20 since December last year. Enjoying that type of frame for my game currently
@@Tennisrally_ nice i see people leaving yonex a lot lately lol
This !!! the racket is muted so much over the previous one. the extreme tour was so much more 'lively' and you knew on impact how the ball was hit and adjust immediately. it was more 'fun' to play with
'play like Dominic Thiem' - Where is the matching grunt ? ha
Good to see you reviewed the new Pure Strikes. I am set to review the new 16x19 which I liked the most as the Tour in the 3rd Gen however caused finger injury which was a shame. Also - Did you receive my email?
