I love these videos dude! Also, props to you for both being more authentic by actually showing that you have to work and how as well as for not filming the actual event lol. I think it would’ve probably been kinda weird for you too. Anyways, have an awesome Christmas!
Great video! I found your videoes from your OMSCS content. Was wondering if you explicitly studied for DSA when applying for MSFT? Or did the course adequately prepare you for those interviews?
Glad you are here! I did explicitly study for around 2 months before interviewing at Microsoft. I started at Microsoft before I took Grad Algorithms at GaTech though
@@bryan_truong thanks for the response. Your videos were extremely useful when deciding whether or not to do OMSCS - much appreciated! Happy to say I start my first course (AI4R) in the coming weeks! Doing the ML track like yourself and hoping to go from Data Science -> Research Engineering.
Hey! What kind of questions did you get when you interviewed for MSFT? Also, do you mind sharing stuff like level, compensation, etc? Lastly, do MSFT engineers not use macbooks? I know windows is one of their products… but developing on a unix based system is so much more enjoyable haha
Hey, thanks for watching/commenting! The kind of questions are pretty standard leetcode-esque questions (you can look on LeetCode to see some examples). I recently made a video about levels.fyi, so check that out- i think levels is the best source for compensation and seems to be accurate for microsoft. And yes, unfortunately, most of us use Thinkpads or Surface laptops :/
yeah I know what you mean. Of course, everyone’s work is not always as busy as it is when I filmed this video, but the makerspace honestly isn’t used that much. It’s also used as an event space (like for hackathons and things like that)

Love this new style of vlogging and get to see how US looks like. Im surprised how empty the office is… where are the workers ?
Glad you like it! DC is probably one of the more European cities in the US actually. And people are probably just working from home lol

im shook that there's a makerspace in the office. how do employees have time to use it when they're supposed to be doing work..?
