Sony A7iv vs. Panasonic GH5 Video Test (an unscientific comparison)
มุมมอง 2875 หลายเดือนก่อน
To be clear I love my GH5 and think it is a fantastic camera- there are plenty of people that still use it as their main camera, and I can see why. I just have been disappointed with the low light performance (which is the situation I have here, when I am talking by my desk at night). Really excited about this new A7iv setup, though!

Hey man, superb content! I'd like to ask you about the homework that must be done in group for any class, how do you decide who you work with? As it is online I'm wondering how it works, do you had to have let's say zoom sessions with other students in order to talk about the project or so? Thanks (sorry for my english)
@@Caro-dh9ql thanks for watching/subscribing! Usually you form your own groups just by posting on the class forums with what you are looking for and time zones. You can usually specify how you like to communicate and join groups with other classmates that have the same learning/communication style.
I wanna do it again goddamn it
love your cat!
Thank you we love him too lol
that bass like is just wii is it not
Good catch! It is the same initial bass pattern but in a different key, though the rest of the song deviates into its own animal. BTW this song is out NOW on Spotify/Apple Music if you want to hear how the rest of it goes and is called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table! 👀
@@bryan_truong love the low key plug to the song lol
@@ComRadOO1 haha thanks man, it ain't easy out here being a small indie band and getting people to listen to your music lol
Bro the first bit of the song before the singing is the recroom theme song
Haha yeah it has that same bass pattern! BTW this song is out NOW on Spotify/Apple Music if you want to hear how the rest of it goes and is called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table! 👀
Reharmonized song for my father by Horace silver!
Was waiting for this comment! You have good taste- so far a lot of people have been saying that it sounds like wii music/recroom, jaja dingdong, and steely dan, but Song for my Father is the one song that I actually knew when we wrote this song. BTW our song in this Short is out and is called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table if you want to check it out 👀
This song is out NOW on Spotify/Apple Music and is called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table!
Not original but...cute.
yeah that 1-5-5 bass pattern is something I very frequently play with bossa jazz standards- we wanted to play homage to that style but the rest of the song unravels into more of a pop/rock song. If you're curious what the rest of our song ended up sounding like, check it out on streaming- it's called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table!
Jon b I know your music trash
Ricky dont lose that number
Good call-out! It's the same bass pattern at the start but the rest of the songs are pretty different. If you're curious what the rest of our song ended up sounding like, check it out on streaming- it's called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table 👀
Thought it was Jaja Ding Dong at first.. Now im disappointed.
haha sorry to disappoint but that's a high bar to live up to 🤣! If you're curious what the rest of our song ended up sounding like, check it out on streaming- it's called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table
got a couple of chefs in the studio i see
Haha thank you !🫡 Be sure to check out the full song/finished product on spotify/apple music. It's called "Between the Lines" by Kids Table (you can get to it from here if you don't want to search it linktr.ee/kidstabletheband)

@ sounds good 👍🏻
Gimme da trumpet!
The bass part sounded like Rikki dont loose that number by Steely Dan for a second
Absolutely- same 1-5-5 pattern!
If you're interested to hear the rest of the song we JUST put it out on spotify/apple music- it's called "Between the Lines" and our band is called "Kids Table" 👀

In-unit washer/dryer is so clutch
@@jamestruong264 absolutely! paying per load was getting expensive after a while too
Every two days? Oh come on, man. That’s too much. I don’t even think about it unless it stinks.
it's mostly just because the laundry machine is so small- each load can only fit around two days of clothes for two people. When I had a normal size washer and dryer I would just do laundry once a week/week and half lol
so this how ballers live?
Love the balcony!
Nice balcony!
I have no experience in software engineering and I wanna do this 😩
You can do it! Just will take time to break into the industry
So you had to pay for food
sadly yes, though the cafeteria food is slightly discounted. And now that I work remotely for Microsoft, I have to pay for all my food 🤣 be sure to check out my other videos since I have a day-in-the-life video now that I am working for Microsoft remotely and living in Washington DC!

Amazing video!!

Absolutely electric
Do you have a video ranking all the different specializations? I understand it’s mostly about whatever you enjoy but I really think I want to go ahead and get my masters at Georgia Tech after I graduate this upcoming spring with my bs in comp sci. I’m just not sure what I want to specialize in. Computer graphics seem interesting but it seems like it’s if you want to learn skills for video game development which isn’t my goal per se. I think VR will become more in demand in the future which is my why. AI seems the best route now but I don’t want to master in it and later on it’s not as growing if that makes sense. Overall I just want something where my skills will not only improve but be in demand. What’s your thoughts?
I don’t have one yet! But subscribe and I might do one soon- I’ll at it to the backlog of potential videos. I think you should take note of the different specializations offered specifically for OMSCS and what is required. You do have a lot of electives so you can learn about things outside of the required specialization courses that you are pursuing.
guessing you got the IBM job because of the hackathon win?
I'm sure it didn't hurt, but I don't think it was because I won- in my cohort (this was back in 2019), the vast majority of interns got return offers (regardless of how they did in the hackathon/if they even participated in it)
great video, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks so much for watching and commenting :)
Did OMSCS help with getting Microsoft offer? or you would've gotten it regardless?
I do think it helped because of the knowledge and experiences that I got from it. It helped being conversational with the hiring manager that I knew what OpenAI was (this was back in April 2022 before ChatGPT, so it wasn't that widely known yet), and I had gotten exposure to their open source libraries through OMSCS. If I had the discipline to do personal projects related to ML and self study, I probably could have gotten it as well, but I don't think I would have the discipline to do it myself outside of a program.
One thing I've never seen on a resume, but would be curious if it made a difference. Resumes are antiquated and the general information provided is typically a summary of your past work, I wonder if adding a section related to career goals would benefit an applicant. You structure it similar to the work experience section but you put the company you are applying to with dates as TBD. Then you write out things you would want to do at the new company pulled from the job description. 4 bullet points highlighting what you hope to work on, how you want to develop your skills, and one or two key projects you want to publish during your time there. For example if the job description says they are looking for someone to work on a new technology you don't have experience with, you highlight that you want to learn, lead, and develop applications or tools with this tech.
@@pbxmy4521 yeah that would be super interesting! I agree resumes are antiquated and nowadays LinkedIn is basically the same thing
Great Content. Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching! Be sure to sub since I’ve got some more tech videos planned post-omscs
Next time, just post the whole long form conversation. You don’t need to write out the questions. It kinda messed up the flow of the video a little bit, but it was still a good video nonetheless 👍
Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback! I was worried about people getting bored/the video getting too long, but I'll keep that in mind next time I do another "Coffee with _____ Software Engineer" video!
