If you bake the pie first before you freeze it I would thaw it out at least 3 hours before I put it in the oven to heat it up. If you freeze the pie before baking. I would just put foil over the top of the frozen pie and put it in the oven frozen to bake the pie. It will take a little longer to bake from being frozen.
Oh wow!! I remember my grandmother and aunt making this as a kid! My dad loved it! Unfortunately all of them have passed and i never got the recipe!! Will have to leave out the strawberries due to allergy, but could i use kiwi instead? Very similar in flavor, i think..Thanks again for another great recipe! Hey from sw florida!
I have fond memories of my uncle and mother making these pies. I really like the combination of strawberries and rhubarb. You will have to tell me how the Kiwi turns out. I know blueberries are good in lieu of the strawberries as well. With the blueberries I would add another 1/4 cup of sugar as they are more sour than the strawberries to me. Thank you so much for watching.
Brilliant video! You rxplain everything and show us so clearly! Thankyou!

Yum! I love the details on the pie crust. I make lots of pies but not sure about making the crust. I’m ready to give the whole thing a try! ❤
