Literally almost every Goosebumps episode or book always begins with someone moving into a new house
FishFingers 101 I read an interview with R.L. Stine where he says he does it for two reasons:
1) Everyone has universal fears, and one of them is being somewhere unknown.
2) He moved around a lot as a child, so it was his way of coping years later/relating to the characters/channeling his inner child.
Or horror movie lol
@@regretthebroken it makes more sense when its explained rather than going without an answer and thinking he hates new houses
Its like goosebumps 1 (movie) it came from beneath the sink! And how to kill a monster
Selio Animations yes!!!
The scariest part is that the old abandoned piano was in tune...
If it wasn't haunted, they could've saved a fortune on trying to get it tuned.
I used the tune in one of my videos
T E R R I F Y I N G
The tune is called moonlight sonata
Mysterious Phantom Ghost she meant in tune as in not out of tune
No one is commenting on the fact that the original theme song for Goosebumps is a bop. That jangly piano riff mixed with dog barks lol.
Oh my god that theme would get me so PUMPED for the episode cause it was honestly just so good.
IT’S TIME FOR GOOSEBUMPS
I would talk about it but I've never seen goosebumps
Pls it was the best 🤚🏼
~~goosebumps~~ viewers beware your in for a scare~~~
Although it was a weird show, it was super nostalgic for me. I grew up reading the books and watching this show. The crazy and cliffhanger endings were a really good addition to every episode to you wanting to watch more of them. Then again this was the 90s so the special effects and makeup/costumes were actually really good for the time especially watching this as a kid. I hope others agree haha but yeah this show was actually a large part of my childhood. The theme still gives chills today.

The portrayal of creepy adults and parents that never listen is kind of cryptic if you think about it. I think the themes of Goosebumps might have been a little more dark than they come off as.

The scariest goosebump episode for me was the one with the mask. I was terrified of trying on masks thinking it would get stuck in my face.
The haunted mask
"I can play Stairway to Heaven on the kazoo."
Thinking about this, unless he's talking about the flute's part, this would actually be quite difficult to do well. So, kudos to this kid for being apparently amazingly skilled at kazoo.

@@madarthivanki that was a horror show. I still have nightmares that's to the teletubbies.
Or Boobas or Courage The Cowardly Dog. *X,D*
I read the book behind this episode, and let me tell you, it doesn't end the same way. So the reason why the janitor wants the kid's hands is that he wants to create a giant piano class with the perfect hands that he finds.
When I was a little kid, I watched "Goosebumps" and "Are you afraid of the dark" then as a teen I got into "Elvira" "Tales From the Crypt" and "Creepshow." Me and my friends went from discussing "Goosebump" episodes in grade school and middle school to "Tales From the Crpyt" , "Creepshow" and other Stephen King movies in high school. These shows got my generation started on the horror genre. Sure they were tame stories, but they did have supernatural elements.
Say what you want bout the invisible thing playing the piano but it was hella talented.

Kids today are a lot more self-aware. If that creepy music teacher grabbed a kid today and shrieked about beautiful hands, he'd get maced and tazered at the same time. Then we'd ruin his business on social media.
Very true he would be on every social media net by the end of the day
True as a 14 year old I aggre wholeheartedly with that statement in fact were kind of scary so creeps beware.
@@13time I dont know man were pretty dumb. Some would report it, some would keep quiet and then brag about it to their friends about how cool they are now xD.
ElyssaAnderson I feel like kids are lot mature and self aware kinda smart too this days, this days even 12 year olds are on Tumblr arguing about politics or some shit, but they're lot whiny
It’s a solid 50/50. It would get more exposure thanks to social media tho if they told. While as back then the creep could just move a few hours away and keep it up.
I remember I always found the books so much scarier than the show, specially the death camera one. Don't think I would ever read them now as it would ruin how I saw them then.
Me and my youngest uncle (we’re a little over two years of age. I’m older) used to binge watch this at his house when we were younger and I had sleepovers at my grandpas house. We only found some of it scary but oddly very entertaining. We watched a lot of the episodes (like a LOT) absolutely loved it. The one I remember the most other then this episode, is called “Say Cheese and Die” Along with I faintly remember one that was about a dog (not the intro. There were also a couple that really DID scare me, and they were mostly the ones that got into psychological horror. Like the one with the beings from another dimension? Where it turns out the other dimension was all around them all the time, and just became visible when they "opened a window?" People hold so much nostalgia for low-quality kids' media because more often than not the pieces of media they're praising so much are some of the first things to expose them to the storytelling tropes they most enjoy throughout the rest of their lives. The quality of the product only lowers through exposure to other media that implements the same tropes in better ways. Coming back to the initial exposure, whose only job was to be an initial exposure, after experiencing how much nuance can actually be applied to the same concepts, will of course be underwhelming in comparison. That doesn't mean the kids' media didn't do its job, though.
