- I’ve forgotten if I’ve ever seen Kate Marsh smile or laugh in the past month. She’s really sweet and nice, even though the other students make fun of her abstinence campaign. Even if they act immature, everybody at Blackwell are seniors, not high school freshmen. She gets a lot shit in fact. I know she’s involved in a lot of religious groups, but she doesn’t preach to me so I don’t care.
But she’s been extra quiet and introverted the past couple of weeks. She looks like she’s in zombie mode. I wish I could help her, but I can barely help myself. I wonder if all that bullying has worn her down. I can see how it would. I have to make an effort to talk to her more often, maybe invite her to tea or a movie.
Although she’s an adult, she not “allowed” to watch “R” rated films…

people always say that the storyline where kate dies is the more emotional one, but for me (who saved kate), they're both the same. just the relief of saving kate was so REAL that it made me cry as much as i would of if kate had jumped.

I had a hard time killing her, as my best friend committed suicide about six months before I bought the game. It took me over a year to finally kill her, because of the guilt that came with it. But it helped tremendously towards my own healing.

To save Kate you have to look at the things in her room earlier in the episode and kinda figure out who is actually supporting her in her life and what Bible verses are gonna help pull her off the ledge. It's been a while since I played it so I don't remember the specifics other than you should mention her Dad when it comes to family because he's the only person in her family left who isn't shaming her for what happened.

Kate and Nathan had the saddest plot IMO. They were both used and in the end they died sad and alone. Feels bad.

As for Nathan, no matter what, he gets fucked over, which sucks.

i remember when i first finished life is strange and wanted my life to be like chloe's/max's
well then, my one and only best friend left me two years ago without a word, my most important person in my life, my grandma, died, i've found out my dad isn't actually my biological dad, then he broke up with my mother, i understood i am bisexual and i can't tell the world, i've been bullied, i became a failure at school, i started smoking and drinking alcohol, doing graffiti, getting a more punk-rock appearance...
i wish i could rewind i regret what i said before, hoping to have a life like chloe's/max's

This reminded me of my sister....her name is Emma....she used to get bullied a lot and....I didn’t know she got in coma so....we didn’t take her to the hospital we thought she was sleeping...she died at midnight WHILE SLEEPING....
everyone talks about Chloe, as for me Kate is the sweetest character in the game. wish i could give her a hug :(

Kate Marsh is my favourite character. She is not only cute but her oldfashioned way of beeing moves deeply. She has such a deep sense of integrity that it is a sacrilege to bully such a marvellous soul !
Same, i always found her to be a really sweet and likeable character and it made the things that happened yo her so much worse. Like it made me tear up when she died.
On my first playthrough I could save Kate. It was absolutly the best gaming experiance in my life.
This game is my all time favorite of all time. I feel so many emotions when I play this game it has saved me from my depression and want of suicide. I will always love this game and the amazing story, lighting, characters, soundtrack, everything :) This video was very well done thank you :)

Im not okay even if I saved Kate. This video reminds me of the anxiety that I had that whole time trying to save her and the pain in my heart for her, EVEN if it's a game. it depends on your last choice (to sacrifice chloe or arcadia bay). if you choose to sacrifice chloe, kate would be alive, and if you choose to sacrifice arcadia bay, kate would be dead in the hospital because of the tornado.
not true, i finished the game today and i couldnt save kate earlier and i sacraficed chloe
If you explore Kate's room you can see her Father's letter and you obviously that's the answer to when she tells you that no one cares for her. I saved her too. Cheers!
Dancing Knight Doesnt matter, if you sacrifice Chloe the whole timeline is different. Mark Jefferson gets arrested and Max already know what Kate would do so she could help her and tell David to lock the damn roof. To keep it short: If you Sacrifice Chloe all your prior choices get un-done and if you Sacrifice Arcadia then all Choices not involving Chloes are irrelevent.
I always come back to this. This game, this soundtrack, these characters, this franchise, this SONG. I've been homeless, disowned, on the end of a knife one too many times. I've been couch surfing for a while and I had to drop out of college and I'm not even eighteen yet. My favourite people have died and are dying, I've lost almost everything. But I got my own place, I have somewhere alone now, and I sit here in this dark room coming back to this. Every time. This will always be with me, and I'll always be with it

The only I made all choice right without having to restart in every games I played. Responding to Kate was like talking to myself. I knew what she, what I wanted to hear in those situations. Glad I gave this game a chance.

I remember how I struggled to save Kate.. I couldn’t move on without saving her, what she went through. . She deserved to live and a second chance from life, i just couldn’t move on through the story I had to save her… I felt her pain and, and I saved her, I saved Kate
I played BTS first then LIS but I vividly remember the outlook of this game changing for me at this section.
This is when that shroud of death really set in for in the LIS games.
I owned LIS 1 for years before playing it fully. I would always just test it out and only made it to the bath room scenes and stopped there. Once I saw BTS was coming, I knew I should play the story from the beginning.
But it wasn't until this game that crushing pain of loss grips you.
All of the LIS games have this distant eerie fear or death in them. Like something is going to get you or the ones you care about in the stories.
I feel like that is intentional via the art style of the games.

When I saw her walk away from school, I already knew what she is going to do ... My heart nearly broke of stress and sadness. I almost killed myself too, but 1 person saved me. Yesterday friend of mine wanted to kill herself . . . And she almost did, but I talked to her and she changed her mind. This is the worst feeling I have ever felt. Life taught me a lot, life is strange too. Maybe only because of this game I saved her. Nevermind. Iam just glad that she is alive and I can talk to her everyday and make her smile once again through her hard life and bullying by her own family ...

I honestly do feel bad for him. He got used by Jefferson and he needed help because he was mental. Regardless if he shot Chloe, Chloe was the one who tried pushing the gun away but by her doing so, she actually ended up triggering the gun and Nathans hand slipped on the trigger by accident causing him to pull it. Even after he shoots her he says "oh shit... No..! No!" and he actually felt sorry. You guys still hate him even after in episode 5 he sent Max a message saying Jefferson was after him and he didn't really want to hurt anyone. Jefferson controlled Nathan and messed with him. Episode 3 where you have a choice to let Warren beat up Nathan, Nathan starts crying and says he got used and said was sorry. But yet no one listens to him and I think thats really sad. So please stop hating on him.

If you're looking for a sign... try it. From someone who comes from Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne. I can tell you that Life is Strange is a wonderful game.
I am so glad I managed to save Kate first try :') ... I've seen some playthrought after mine and noticed how darker the end gets (memory labyrinth scene) if she dies
