This game hits me and many others on a more personal level... It makes me ponder where the fuck did my life go and where the hell is it going right now... Along with who's with me and who isn't... And how my life & situation would be at the moment if I could rewind back to a point in my life and change one critical shitty decision...
That along the character affection, immersion and vibe make this game more emotional than anything made until now...
It's not just a story with good characters in a video game... It's a mirror and an impacting experience and a great scientific input where it shows how useful it could be in the lives of those 2 young girls and even our own... Not to mention how curious and amazing it is... Just imagine... Breaking the boundaries of time & space... Amazing.
This is easily the best gaming experience I've had so far... And episode 4 & 5 aren't even out yet...
Dontnod just popped outta nowhere in 2008 and they are blowing minds and lives with just their second game. These guys have everything they need to be rivaling companies like Naughty Dog & Rockstar Games.
Not to bash on Walking Dead at all... Season 1 & Season 2 were amazing.

I've just finished Before the Storm yesterday. Why I've never bothered checking this out before, sigh. I thought it was some type of cliche, episodic boring game. Now I'm a total wreck.. I got so attached with the characters lol.

This game made me feel nostalgic and regret on my High school year, Not for not having fun or party, But for so many chance I let slipped or just blatantly ignore them just because I'm too afraid to emerged from my own shell.

But at same time I can also feel the slow change on my own too......And somehow, I felt welcoming to these change, to put it out in a little funny way..... For some reason this song genuinely hurts my heart, it's so nostalgic and sad and beautiful yet I can barely listen to it cuz it makes me so sad
life is strange itself and the soundtrack are very good at making people feel the way you described. it just makes you nostalgic about the good times, makes you regret your past. it hurts you and makes you feel sad and yet it's addictive... you kinda don't wanna feel this way, but at the same time you kinda do.... at least that's how it is for me

I played this game 7 years ago, and it had a huge impact on me and helped me cope with life. Now at 26 year old, every now and then i keep coming back to listening these songs. It's been 5 years, maybe i should play this game through again.
Sometimes we all need an emotional release... I've been thinking about trying out the remastered version myself!
@@BulletNG if you havent yet, i have as my first experience, and subtitles being broken is not that great of an experience, sometimes dialogue stutters, there are some weird graphical issues but honestly none of those issues made me less engaged personally..
edit: played non remastered one on phone, remastered definitely looks better if only for the better face animations imo

This game is very much for adults/mature teenagers. If it had been intended for 14 yo girls, there probably wouldn't have been the dark room and suicide scene, and everything would've been replaced with mindless romance.

I remember I got Episode 1 on steam because it was free and I was hooked. I played it on the weekend and through the whole week I was so excited to buy the full game next weekend. I felt so hyped when I started it and this song played. I didn't know what I was getting myself into though XD

I got it back in 2015 with all of the other episodes. I don't even remember how, thought it was a giveaway, but now I'm realizing I probably just bought it.
It's one of those games that becomes an instant favorite. Feels effortless, but that'd be an insult to the amount of work that clearly went into the writing and music selection.

Feels like unlocking a new sector in my brain once understanding the world.
This mixing of supernatural and every day real life experiences feels so authentic here like it could really happen.

How would we ever know or even believe them?

@@Sykroidyeah it such a shame that this is the oy game that gave you rewind power but sadly there's only 2 ending. LIS 2 got multiple ending, I really wish they made the remake of this masterpiece with many ending. Both ending pretty dark for real.

This is one of the few games that haunts me to this day. I've never replayed it since my first playthrough but there was just something about the tone, the existential nature, and the astoundingly painful emotions it draws out of you. I played it at both the absolute best and worst time of my life to do so as it just touched on so much of what was going on with me and the people around me at the time; it made me reflect on things in both positive and negative ways and see the beautiful moments inbetween the crushing unfairness of it all. It's now been seven years and it still sits with me. I both look forward to and dread the day I'll next play a game that hits me in the same way. Because this game took me to the ground and kept on punching.

This game changed my perspective on gaming forever.
Just finished it. Really enjoyed it. Didn’t like how the ending really bottlenecks and is mostly unaffected by the previous choices in game. But the atmosphere, character development, relationship building, and themes were fantastic. Overall really liked it.
LiS by no means game of the century. But if you were around when it first came out, there was something special about it. Either it's the music, art style, story, or the fact that we were young middleschoolers/highschoolers when it came out.

I remember being a teenager and spending my summer mornings listening to Alt-J ‘s albums... That orange light passing through the windows while eating breakfast next to my house’s garden. The weather was nice, hot but with some clouds that gave shadow.
I got to play the amazing masterpiece called “life is strange” in 2018. Late, but I enjoyed every single bit. You can imagine the amount of nostalgia that I got from this game when the first scene of the second chapter appeared. It was a moment that I’ll never forget.
This is one of the games that i'd love to replay like its the first time ovet and over again, along with The Walking Dead game
