One cool detail to add to part 3: During Ellie Day 1 you can see Dina rubbing her stomach every once in a while only when Ellie is not looking, I bet you know why.
Really can appreciate the accessibility options. I don't need them personally, but the fact that they took the time to help people with varying disabilities to enjoy their game should be the standard
In the beginning of the game where you walk around Jackson as Ellie. People will look at you when your back is turned, and if you turn around they quickly move their head away from your direction. I think it’s a really cool detail, especially since Jessie told you ‘heads up, your the talk of the town this morning’ referencing the attention on her because of what happened at the party.
There is also the group of 3 in front of the Butcher shop, they talk about Ellie and once you get closer, one of them says to the others: "There she comes" before they greet you like nothing happened.
Never happened to me and I was playing in the second hardest difficulty. Jessie even broke a window in front of and enemy and the enemy only cheked the broken window.
One small detail I picked up on my first playthrough is - when you go to Santa Barbra with Ellie and your at the beach. If you go step on the sand where the water washes through it, it clears your footprints and it has to go through it 2-3 times to do so. I wish I could explain better what I mean, but I think you get the gist of it. Impressive as hell.
@@Jack-jx2ug Well, the story isnt what some people hoped for, or what everyone expected, but someone going into something expecting more of the same or just like crowdpleasing fanservicey stuff is sorta their own issue to deal with. One thing I’ve noticed is Ellie loses or removes her “monster” key ring mascot on her bag as she gets older but you can clearly see the hole where it once was. Also you can see her tattoo sleeve progress as she gets older. Young Ellie no tattoo, teenage Ellie just has a sleeve outline and older Ellie has it complete and all coloured in.
You forgot some characters have armpit hair on some cutscenes which is something I've never seen before in a game Edit:I know other games have it but it looks like in this one they took the time to make it as real as possible, which is totally useless but whatever
Man this game’s ending had me sitting there for a good 10 minutes or so just staring at the credits and wondering what in the world I had just witnessed
Well I was so mad about how Joel dies, the polític agenda, Abby polémic cuz she isnt a bad character just an awful writting. At the end we have a time skip so I can understand how weak Ellie become in her pursuit for vengeance. Last of us is not a happy World but an awfull narrative is not reason for lazy writting.
Naughty dog devs: hey what if we had no sleep ever and just replaced our blood with caffeine and our happiness with pain and our souls with a cold empty vacuum.
@@DarkNessBear Pretty sure its more than one guy. And judging by the way the blood spreads on the tiles at 15:30... I think it's simulated using the texture maps. Very impressive, of course! o thank you for these amazing videos. You have a good eye for these tiny little details that a casual gamer might miss. I think rockstar and naughty dog are the only 2 companies that can deliver attention to detail on this scale.
It only happened to me on Day 3 with jesse. I was hiding and when an enemy passed near him, he shot him. They didn’t find me. And when i killed all of them he apologized
One cool detail is if you listen closely while walking through Seattle, you can actually HEAR the cries of the games haters as they fail to understand the game
Just because people hate the game doesn't mean they dont understand it, it just means it's not the type of game they enjoy or the story isn't the type of story they'd like
@Killan8x Dude you missed what I said entirely, most people who left reviews of the game when it came out did so as little as 1 hour after the game released, meaning they didn't play the whole game, they just saw Joel die and went: "WAAHHHHH :("
@Killan8x Written horribly? You mean not written as a drawn out Hollywood bullshit scene? People dont get drawn out heroic deaths in reality dude even Joel acknowledges he deserves whats coming as he just tells her to get it over with, Im not saying im GLAD Joel died, I just wasn't surprised and it didnt affect the whole game for me, its what gives the game purpose
Another cool detail, the scars have different kind of whistles to say different things like: "I think is something there" "enemy is here" "friendly down" and more

I do that deliberately coz I hate her for what she did, even though I know why she did it, I was just attached to Joel so I couldn't see that happen to him 😞
It's also awesome that Ellie has one of the old ps3 system in her room with a Jak and Daxter game. In Abby's story you can also find one of the precursor orb, a reference from Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. The attention to detail is real.
About the stuff in your bag, once i was reading a note. After a certain fight that was a really bloody one i accidently checked the some note again and the paper was covered in blood ! That really blew my mind. This is too much for a 80Gb game on ps4. What could we ask for on a ps5 while we got this on ps4 ...
4:09 I remember all the people saying how unrealistic this game is for wasting ammo Love the fact that you still have the ammo and can reload the gun with it
Wasting ammo? What do you mean? I think you’re referring to people saying it’s unrealistic how much ammunition all the factions have to spare, because goddamn, the amount of ammo the WLF hasin this game is seriously mind boggling.
Hagoromo Otsutski No. look at the timestamp I made. People were complaining that the ammo is wasted when she puts to gun on the work bench. But it’s still available for you. You just have to reload.
VileSock It's still very unrealistic. On most of the animations, she ejects the round that was in the chamber of the gun, and doesn't pick it back up. Yet it is in her inventory later.
this was the best game I've ever played in my life and also the most realistic and most immersive! I have no words to describe how wonderful my experience with this game was
At the end of Day 1 when you do the history museum memory you can see the cassette tape of the shuttle launch in Joel's shirt pocket from the very beginning.
This is a pointless add on but y'know. The launch you hear isn't actually a shuttle launch it's from Apollo 11 which was the first time humans went to the moon
Has anybody noticed the first scene where Joel Is walking up to Ellie. He's walking at the same pace as he was in the debut trailer and at the same part of the song.
I actually noticed that and it kinda freaked me out. When that teaser released, there was a theory that Joel was dead and only a figment of her imagination in that scene. Seeing him in the more recent trailers kinda put that theory to rest, it was surprising to see that was actually the case.
Aidan I personally didn’t have a problem with it. The writing is definitely a step down from the first game though and I think the fact that this had to follow up an emotionally potent masterpiece like The Last Of Us Part 1 probably hurt it
Imagine when this game goes "remaster" for the PS5, also, this was a fantastic experience of a game, the haters just don't get it, sure the story isn't what I expected but accepted that the director went for a non cliche happy ending type of story.(Also, I didn't saw the notorious leaks)
@@philipsk Exactly, if wasn't for Abby's father being killed by Joel, probably wasn't going to exist a TLOU2, also, Joel died fulfilling his promises to Ellie, teach her how to play guitar, probably he taught her how to swin and even told the truth about the FF, there was nothing else for him to do other than protecting her and Jackson
These 2 lists are absolutely incredible, one of the biggest things I loved about the game and about Naughty Dog in general is their attention to detail and you had stuff in here i didnt even notice. BUT how could you leave out the fact that there is always something going on with their facial expressions, and how when Ellie stealth kills somebody and stabs them in the neck you can see the strain in her face and the fact that she is always looking away and doesnt watch them bleed
That last backpack detail was awesome!! All of them were great and ever Informative as usual. The amount of effort put into this game shows in spades, it’s gorgeous.
Thank you!!! It's like GoT Season 8 all over again, people think that bad writing is when the story doesn't go in the direction they want, but in fact, it's a very good story, very well written (TLOU2, GoT Season 8 was good too but a bit rushed)
@@Kerrogann there was one many plot holes in got season 8 that annoyed me but those ones takes the cake: When Daenerys dragon was killed when they were returning from winterfell, it was sunny and clear day how could they did not notice the small armada below on the sea?!? And the fact she retreated with Drogon immediately from the fight but a few episodes later she and drogon fights 10 times the number of ships and a whole city fully armed with dragons killing weapons and destroy them all, dont tell me a few episodes before she could not handle a few ships especially after seeing one of her beloved dragon get slayed, she does not even try to pursue them, and i dont think sailships can outrun a dragon. You dont need to be a writer to judge when a story is badly written.
@@Kerrogann WTF? Going against the majority opinion doesn't mean that you're automatically smart...I love TLOU2 but GOT season 6, 7 and especially 8 are all shit.
There's a line Owen said during the archery minigame that really cracked me up. If you don't shoot anything, he after a while goes, "Did you...did you like forget the rules of the game or something?"
Another one I noticed is fallen foliage matches local flora, like once you get to Cali it's eucalyptus leaves, vs the deciduous leaves of Washington, etc. They put alot of detail into that
This really is a detailed game, so beautiful, I mean I couldn't beleive how much detail I was in for when that golf club came down on that old guy's head, my GOD that was something. You could see every vein in his brain matter as the light left his eyes. And don't even get me started on his daughter's reaction. Wow, what a masterpiece.
In rdr2 if you lasso someone and pull them under a table, there will be an animation of them crawling out our their hands and knees. I haven't seen this mentioned before so I just wanted to mention this.
It also happens if you get run over by a wagon, or if you go ragdoll and somehow end up under a fence. Another little thing is that it's the same animation from GTA V when you crawl out from under cars.

LMAO
First time i saw it i get scared XD
oh my lord i got scared there i saw ellie's pupils at least😨
Ellie is Undertaker daughter
One thing I’ve noticed is Ellie loses or removes her “monster” key ring mascot on her bag as she gets older but you can clearly see the hole where it once was.
Also you can see her tattoo sleeve progress as she gets older. Young Ellie no tattoo, teenage Ellie just has a sleeve outline and older Ellie has it complete and all coloured in.
this game probably represents how far we’ve come with technology.
it also represents how far we've come with dumbassery in an attempt to create diversity.
You forgot some characters have armpit hair on some cutscenes which is something I've never seen before in a game
Edit:I know other games have it but it looks like in this one they took the time to make it as real as possible, which is totally useless but whatever
In MGS2, Olga Gurlukovich has it.

At the end we have a time skip so I can understand how weak Ellie become in her pursuit for vengeance.

I really wonder if they just hired someone to literally simulate blood flowing over every single asset.
The gore is mesmerising.
There is actually! A person dedicated to only blood.
@@DarkNessBear Pretty sure its more than one guy.
And judging by the way the blood spreads on the tiles at 15:30... I think it's simulated using the texture maps. Very impressive, of course! Its just that blood would probbaly only flow within the cracks, and once it starts flowing it would not hit the top of the tile. like a river
*However there are issues*
Think someone had a bit of a gore fetish it becomes torture porn at points
In Seattle day 1, you can see Dina touching her belly even before she tells Ellie she's pregnant.
Wow i didn't notice that
I noticed that too but wasn't too sure whether it was worth mentioning, It'd be cool if as the game progress she does other things that suggest that something's not right, I'll have to check but it is cool all the same.

Hello pennywise the dancing clown

The music from the both tlou Games is soooooooooooo good
Gustavo Santaolalla is a genius composer
An Argentinian composer, always a true master with a guitar
One cool detail is if you listen closely while walking through Seattle, you can actually HEAR the cries of the games haters as they fail to understand the game
Just because people hate the game doesn't mean they dont understand it, it just means it's not the type of game they enjoy or the story isn't the type of story they'd like
@Killan8x Because most people played about an hour of the game and hated it because "Boo-hoo my daddy Joel died"
People dont get drawn out heroic deaths in reality dude
even Joel acknowledges he deserves whats coming as he just tells her to get it over with, Im not saying im GLAD Joel died, I just wasn't surprised and it didnt affect the whole game for me, its what gives the game purpose
@Killan8x It didnt feel forced at all, once you play the even half way through the game you get it
Another cool detail, the scars have different kind of whistles to say different things like: "I think is something there" "enemy is here" "friendly down" and more
The whistling was dumb as fuck.. All it did was give their position away and made them so easy to kill..
Well instead of screaming tactics they use the whisteling so that enemies can't understand what they are planning to do, at the end it's a smart idea.
@@exq2er518 Every other enemy yelled too, except you could understand them.
is their whistling based off of silbo? never played the game but I wonder if it’s the same idea.

6:53 as the dying enemy falls and hits the ground, his left foot turns to the correct direction 🤯

4:09 I remember all the people saying how unrealistic this game is for wasting ammo
Love the fact that you still have the ammo and can reload the gun with it
What do you mean wasting ammo?
Wasting ammo? What do you mean?
I think you’re referring to people saying it’s unrealistic how much ammunition all the factions have to spare, because goddamn, the amount of ammo the WLF hasin this game is seriously mind boggling.
Hagoromo Otsutski No. look at the timestamp I made. People were complaining that the ammo is wasted when she puts to gun on the work bench.
But it’s still available for you. You just have to reload.

It's still very unrealistic. On most of the animations, she ejects the round that was in the chamber of the gun, and doesn't pick it back up. Yet it is in her inventory later.

Yeah it's true
Scars. These are really cool. Even tho I don’t like the story can’t deny how good the gameplay looks.
Thanks for watching and yeah it's a pretty impressive game all round.
is it really that bad bro, i’m currently on seattle day 2, please don’t spoil it for me but can i ask why you don’t like it?
Aidan I personally didn’t have a problem with it. The writing is definitely a step down from the first game though and I think the fact that this had to follow up an emotionally potent masterpiece like The Last Of Us Part 1 probably hurt it
Facts. The gameplay is undeniably good. It is extremely well done, and the way all the different mechanics work together are fluid
man Scars were really unique. They were the most fun to fight. WLF were like hunters but Scars were on another level

I love you for this comment, and I love your name.
@@Kerrogann there was one many plot holes in got season 8 that annoyed me but those ones takes the cake:
When Daenerys dragon was killed when they were returning from winterfell, it was sunny and clear day how could they did not notice the small armada below on the sea?!?
And the fact she retreated with Drogon immediately from the fight but a few episodes later she and drogon fights 10 times the number of ships and a whole city fully armed with dragons killing weapons and destroy them all, dont tell me a few episodes before she could not handle a few ships especially after seeing one of her beloved dragon get slayed, she does not even try to pursue them, and i dont think sailships can outrun a dragon.

Wow that last one is crazy, and the water droplets drying up on the can and her skin.
In rdr2 if you lasso someone and pull them under a table, there will be an animation of them crawling out our their hands and knees. I haven't seen this mentioned before so I just wanted to mention this.
You can also lasso sleeping and knocked out people. Just found out.
