Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this easy wash day/styling routine for those with a busy, and active lifestyle! Also! Here's the rundown for Melanin Haircare full-sized product restocks so far! More to come!: www.MelaninHaircare.com : African Black Soap Reviving Shampoo, Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend, Plumping Deep Conditioner, www.sephora.com/brand/melanin-haircare : Plumping Deep Conditioner, Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend www.spacenk.com/us/brands/m/melanin-haircare : Twist-Elongating Style Cream, Plumping Deep Conditioner, Multi-Use Pure Oil Blend
PLEASE!!! Yes to the daily wash routine! I work out almost everyday too and I don't know the best way to get the sweat out of my hair without overwashing!
She said in this video that she sets her hair 5 times a week. So because she’s refreshing so often that’s why she’s saying all she needs is this gentle quick wash ❤ I hope this helps
I started watching her in 2018 when I started my natural hair journey. Because of her I now have my own youtube hair channel and I am an investor in her company. I looooooooooooove her.
I've been natural 27yrs, but it's not until I started watching you that I really learned how to care for my hair. And I love that you still use other products besides your own and review them... that being said, melanin line is mostly all I use! Lol
Whit, thank you for the years of honesty, transparency, dedication and devotion to the natural hair community! You are by far my most trusted and respected vlogger! May you continue to have much success! Sammi W.
I totallyyyy agree with you on the mousse topic. I am not willing to compromise moisture for a defined look, and a lot of stylers on the market that do a fantastic job at holding curls, end up leaving the curls so dry and brittle, making my hair feel like straw😭😭
I absolutely love the design essentials mousse. Of all the mousse I’ve tried that’s the best one. I have to try Verb. Cause your curls are pretty! I used to go to Target for your products ! 😊
Yes please and thank you! Would love to see what a typical week of washing, styling and refreshing your hair, especially any tips around how you protect and refresh for a workout 👀 Also can't wait to try the pin above the ear trick, thanks for that
Whitney how are you still teaching us after all these years. Everyone else stretches their hair incorrectly. This is thee❤best way for shape. Game changer ❤❤
I was hoping you’d do an updated wash and go routine! Ever since you went to beauty school I’ve been curious to see what/if you’d do or change. Happy to see you’re still layering multiple products and getting bomb results. So inspirational!
Whitney!!! I know you have a lot of OGs here!! I’ve been along for the journey so long, I can’t even remember!!! I remember watching you having Olivia and shortly after having my own daughter!!! Just wanted to say I LOVE each of your products and am so happy for your growth!!! Also!!! I’m delighted to see you embracing your grey hair!!! It’s so beautiful and graceful!!!
Whew! Glad to know you’ll be back in Ulta. I love having the option to go into the store to pickup. I don’t have to worry about porch pirates or something going on with my delivery. I did get my hands back on your shampoo. It’s the only one that works for me. I would love to see how you shampoo your hair like once a quarter as your hair grows.
I just cut my hair for the first time and have been stalking your old videos for a wash and go routine 😅 I just bought a Dyson (after another one of your videos) and to see this now truly feels like affirmation that im moving in the right direction. ❤
I am rocking twa and wash every week/ every 3 or 4 days and I just shampoo and condition then style with lotta body mousse/ setting lotion and set in comb coils and my hair has been the healthiest ever (original big chop in 2012 because I seen your videos) I find keeping it simple is the best. I been loving your videos sense I was a teenager in 10th grade ❤❤
Girl you really came a long way!!! I remember when you only used mud wash shampoo. No heat!!!! I use to walk go to bed with wet hair trying to keep up like you lol. I love this!!
😆Aw thank you! No more time to wait on air drying! I also feel like I get better results when I quickly dry the hair with heat - no time for the frizz to form! 💯❤
@@Naptural85...Just a tip that's helped me. I started taking biotin capsules and it's helping to slow down the shedding in my hair tremendously. So you might want to try that and see if it works. By the way I have a thyroid condition which is called Hashimoto's disease as well as going through menopause. So if it works for me it probably will most definitely work for you 😊
Looks gorgeous as usual! I haven't found a mousse yet that I like because it leaves my hair dry and it only lasts for one day. I'm going to try the 2 that you recommended. Thanks!❤
Likes someone else said. I'm also 28 and I was just talking to someone about how long I've been natural and I went natural in 2014. Because I found your videos and it's so crazy. How long I've been following you. I I was sixteen
You inspired me to go natural over 10 years ago. I've been struggling a bit with my curls lately, debating whether or not if I still want to be natural. I just had a wash day and really took the time to appreciate my hair and it's beauty. And watching this video has once again inspired me to keep trying different things in order to find what truly works best for me. Thank you for all you do, Whitney! P.S. I also work out everyday, and I would love to see how you keep your hair looking great! Thanks again! P.S.S. When are you opening up a salon?! I would love to have my hair styled by you one day :)))
Love this question!!! Bc I’d absolutely go to a Melanin hair care salon!! I hope she sees this and answers 🤞🏾 Good luck continuing to fall in love with your hair ❤
@@SolCareMimi I remember a while ago she was getting her cosmetology license, so there has to be something in the works. I would totally travel and spend whatever to have Whitney do my hair. There's so few people who know how to do our hair. There's a hole in market, Whitney! Get it while the getting is good.
Of course we want your routine! I work out 5 days a week, and I'm always looking for ways to maintain my hair. Also, you might need to show us this workout, you mentioned fighters🤔.
Thank you SO MUCH for the mousse recommendations! The design essential actually worked for my hair! Gives definition and mild volume!! Love it for the price and size
I am about to watch this video and praying you have an update when your full-size leave in condition will be back in. Prayers answered. Your product is the only product that I tried that works well with my daughter's hair.
I'm glad you made this comment. I like you, wondered the same. I've missed her products not only for my hair but my daughter's as well. Her products are the only ones that are reasonably priced for the amount of hair my daughter has and you can see the difference in one use. I can't wait for the return. ❤
I’ve been loc’d for 4 years, but watching you do this wash n go makes me miss my loose hair! And on another note, I love knowing that I can use Head and Shoulders on my natural hair, because I deal with dry scalp, but I’ve been afraid that it would dry out my hair (even though your African Black Soap shampoo is my go to)
Thanks for the video. After my workout I’m wetting my hair in the shower each morning, finger detangling, adding the leave in conditioner, no rinse just adding the mousse. I love the results, but I can’t wait to see how you work your magic after a workout!
I do the face framing with bobby pins too but not just over my ear. I have bangs and the hair over my ears are my 4C patches so to make sure that my hair blends as it shrinks through out the day I will hold down the roots of my face framing hairs from my temples to my ears.
Hey Whitney!! Long time viewer here, I’d love to hear your weekly routine! I remember watching one from back in the day for working out and I definitely need the update.
I like you're letting your grays come in. The outcome is beautiful! Your hair didn't look too wet to have just come from the shower, or did the wrap absorb the water? Diffusers or hoods friz my hair. Any tips would be welcomed.
On doctor's orders I'm using head and shoulders 3x a week. It's the truth! I use the pyrithione conditioner, rinse out, and use a leave in, and my hair is doing well.
Head & Shoulders is EXACTLY what I use for my hair!!! I've used the apple and also tea tree oil ones as well. Nothing works on my scalp like Head & Shoulders!!! P.S. LOVING the cut!!! :)💜
Love this. I thought i was being heavy-handed with my setting foam. Clearly, i did it right. Also, I can't wait until you get your products back on ulta shelves!
Your grey looks so good mine is on both sides of my temple and I hate it s I use henna and try to keep it colored I’m not ready to embrace mines but if it looked like yours I probably would ❤it…your hair turned out beautiful. And yes would love to see wash day and style technique.
Thank you for sharing. Always enjoy your videos and I’ll have to give this style a try. So yes a daily routine would be awesome to see how you keep it looking good. Haven’t tried like a wash N go style for a while because I feel like I can’t maintain it well.
I love Head & Shoulders! I started getting a really itchy scalp a few months ago and that shampoo fixed it. I'm not sure what caused it but this is my go to shampoo
💕Love Melanin Haircare for a few reasons. Thank you for sharing that info about restocking. Loyal customer here, patiently waiting for the Twist-Elongating Style Cream (2nd MOST favorite MHC product) to become available on the website.
I haven't been able to find the leave in anywhere for almost 6 months, its no longer at Target or Ulta and sold out on your site and Sephora. Any info on when it it be back in stock? Thanks.
Hey there! Another great video. I do the bobby pin trick too. I need bobby pins over my thinning edges to frame my face and hold down that shrinkage. It really does hold all day.
I love theMelanin leave in for its many uses, but it’s especially good at rehydrating and detangling the hair. I love the VerbGhost oil as a sealant. Now, I’ll have to buy the Verb mousse, because it looks nice and moisturizing. I just began using the Design Essentials almond and avocado mousse, because my hair feels soft and looks defined after it dries.
Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been using Design Essentials mousse. How do you moisturize your hair on the other days of the week? I usually mist my hair with water and sometimes add a bit of oil.
The head and shoulders is anti-fungal not anti-bacterial, so if you find the dial soap isn't dealing with what you need dermatilogically then switch back to the H&S
Dove scalp care and moisture care shampoo is one of my favorites shampoos besides YOURS. I do use a clarifying shampoo every week and urs is my fave and doesn’t miss. I just have to use a deep conditioner.

Interesting on the head n shoulders. I was just going through my trunk of throwing out items I dont use & the head & shoulders was on the dump list bc it has sulfate in it. Ive already trashed several tresemme bottles.

I think YOU should make a mousse using Melanin😊

Noted!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾❤❤
You could do an acv and water spray on your scalp daily. 1/2 cp acv and 2 cups water. Spritz and let air dry.

I have 2 more suggestions! During vib try pattern mousse travel size and try bread beauty hair foam!! sooo good both!
Yesssss, I got my products for me and my two little girls 😊😊😊

How often do you go thru your products?
quick question: do you use a spray bottle because your hair seems more dry than wet. If that makes sense. Not saying it looks dry of course. lol
Beautiful wash and go!!
Definitely snatched up my deep conditioner weeks ago on Sephora
Sis your skin is so pretty
Interesting on the head n shoulders. I was just going through my trunk of throwing out items I dont use & the head & shoulders was on the dump list bc it has sulfate in it. Ive already trashed several tresemme bottles.
