Some quick context for anyone who missed the community post: This started as a Thanksgiving video, then I tried to make it work as an Easter thing… and it kept getting delayed. I'm super glad it still came together and I hope you all like/liked it!

Am I the only one who had a slight panic attack at 5:20 when he started "sifting" or straining the yams and they weren't going through?

That looks bomb, not gonna lie. I definitely want to try this recipe, and whatnot cuz I freaking LOVE sweet potatoes.
I would add some cinnamon and brown sugar for flavor though and maybe top it with marshmallows instead of an eggwash because sweet potatoes + baked marshmallows ontop = HEAVEN.

I love your videos, the puns are great! I'm so glad you're back! I think it would be cool if you could do the time race things in a video. Like, the part of cooking mama that sees how many potatoes you can peel in a certain amount of time, or how many things of corn you could shuck or something. It would be different than your usual videos, maybe not as interesting, but I don't know, it's just a thought.
So I would suggest to make it look like the photo about the browned surface, maybe broil it for a moment or a kitchen torch such as the kind you might use for creme brûlée

gametim! in the cooking mama for the phone, you can feed it to papa and he will give it up to 3 hearts. I think it would be interesting if you gave it hearts at the end depending on how good it was! just a thought
The mesh in cooking mama would be a metal mesh , theyre made for the job rather than being seives -a metal seive works well though.

I swear that once Cooking Mama’s run out of ideas for places to show up, she’ll end up replacing important things in his life. Like he could try to go outside on a drive and Mama’d replace his car with herself. Or he could he talking with his girlfriend and he’d look away and Mama’d replace her with herself. Everything would become Mama. Until the entire planet becomes Mama, and it’s just him and Mama floating in the endless void of space.
Well that makes sense. I'm from the Southeast Asia and that purple thing is what I think of when i hear "sweet potato".
I'm from Malaysia and we call the orange ones sweet potatoes and the purple ones yams!

There's an actual flat iron strainer for mashing potatoes. I think it's a Russian invention, I could be wrong. Would probably help to get that.

Could've parboiled the yam to help slightly soften them up... Adding a little softening for that first bake point, which would make the texture more fluffy in the end result or maybe soak in some lemon or soda to drive in a bit of flavour, though not necessary to do, twice baked doesn't have to be boring but instead could be an inventive cooking tool... I know you're probably not going to actually try my ideas but still, others might and that's the purpose of my comment, giving people something that shows food don't have to be boring, just try something different and it'll either surprise you or not be nice... But that's the point, you don't know if it'll be good until you try something new
