Feeling success in your veins, you fall over in excitement. As you look up from your stomach, you find an tanned old man, in nothing but a loincloth, sitting cross legged, humming. You crawl to the man, who turns his head only slightly, acknowledging your presence. Simply gazing upon his features fills you with an awe as you prostrate yourself before his reverence. Starving, no longer for food, but for knowledge, you speak. “Oh, wise and all-knowing guru.” Your voice is hoarse from lack of use, scratched due to the cold. “Tell me: what is the meaning of life?” The man before you opens his eyes, seemingly glowing as his whole body turns towards you. You force yourself to your knees, only to look away as the man stares into your soul, analyzing your being with his infinite wisdom. “The meaning of life?” He asks, his deep, soothing voice almost reverberating throughout the area, ringing in your soul. “Why, that is a very simple answer.” With that succinct response, the man reaches behind him, and brings out a small slab of stone. You shuffle to the man, to get a closer look at the answer you came waiting for.
