It should be really tough for Kat. First, she gets beaten by his husband, then his husband again comes out of nowhere and starts moving and speaking backwards, she sees Sator and his man moving backwards, even shooting backwards. Really creepy if you think about it.
I just figured something out. Before Katt enters the Freeport she seas on the other side of the gate the back Audi suv and the driver with the mask. The diver is invertido, that's pretty crear. What I missed is that inverted Sator is actually in the back seat of the Audi!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Inverted Sator just dropped Katt minutes ago, but in Katts perspective, after Sator beats her up, inverted Sator then gets there and picks her up and the car chase begins in Katts perspective. Freaking mind blowing!!!!
Is that an extended scene because I've seen the film multiple times and I have a copy of it but I've *never* seen him kick her or put his foot above her head.
She's played the same character - the abused wife/girlfriend of a ruthless villain - in three different movies/tv shows: The Night Manager, Widows and this. Although in Widows, her character evolves a lot more.
Interesting....well that room is an "inverted space" to some degree. Which is why Sator, his men, TP, Ives, Neil, etc. Didn't need their gas masks on while they were inside of it in their inverted states
Nolan doesn't really do any CGI work here for the sake of maintaining the whole imax film stock angle, so whatever light flares are happening are in camera. So it's possible that's just an artifact of the lens more than an attempt to portray anything scifi.
I don't think so, if it's the same car they have Kat in. Because TP stops the car by pressing the break, which means it was driving in reverse but going forwards in time. It can get a bit confusing whether certain cars are inverted or not. I'm not entirely sure on all of them myself.
OK, at 2:04 Sator knows that Future Kat has killed Future Sator? That might explain the whole Tiger Speech but... can someone please tell me how Present Sator and Kat would know and be openly discussing this?
Oh, yeah! Thanks! That was another scene I had a problem with. She didn't push him off the SailGP racer per se, and he also wasn't thrown off solely because she unclipped his safety harness. They were traveling in a straight line. And Sator certainly would know how to swim or at least float on his back... unless his head hit the port rudder's wing. Jus sayin'.
*puts on his technical head* I have to ask this right, but when that Audi is inverted and spins back around to Neil and the protagonist, wouldn't the smoke being emitted from the tyres be travelling forwards? They're still impacting the asphalt so the friction is the same, but once the effect of friction kicks in, surely the tyre smoke wouldn't reverse back into the tyre...
Oh those scenes are full of mistakes like that, but necessary for the effect. It's not possible to have reverse entropy objects in normal entropy space, sometimes compromises have to be made for the movie.
as with all Nolan movies, upon close inspection with the physics of our world, these mechanics dont really hold up. But the point of the movie is not to analyze it with the scrutiny of Carl Sagan but to take a premise and then build off that. Create a world where the impossible can happen and then show how it might unfold. Going into other people's dreams, travelling thru space-time in a black hole, the Tesla device in Prestige and inverting time in Tenet. Ya just go with the flow and assume that time inversion is possible, then see how it might play out.

@@aleksandrareena7538 Ok, this is hard to figure out. But I watched again to try to understand more. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only scene when Sator inverts. We have to take into account he has done this many times and so, has complete control of the "time pincer" movement. You can't think only foward, nor backwards. You have to think foward and backwards at the same time. Check at 0:35. That is an inverted car with an inverted antagonist. Now, on Sator's point of view, after he inverted, Kat is in the inverted room, shot down. After he shots her, she gets unshoted and then, he leads her outside. Ok, but then, the question is, how she got in the car, anyways? Well, the inverted Sator's team drives a car that is going backwards in time until the begining of the scene, where Kat was attacked by normal entropy Sator. So, the backwards team gets her there and put in the car. In our perspective, Kat sees lots of men moving backwards picking her up.
