Ole E going to start looking like Trevor from GTA 5. 😄 I'm in the same boat E, but I'm 27. Our masculinity doesn't depend on things we can't control, and I actually don't think it looks bad. Will Knowlands speech on Patriarchy comes to mind here, scars and marking, even aging are a sign of the life you've lived, e.g. WW2 vets with holes in their head. Or Lions with scars and lame legs. Maybe doesn't look good by worldly standards but is actually a badge of honor, I think. Some people don't live long enough to go grey or lose their hair.

As a barber my self ; You should fade the sides with a Skin tight fade . . And cut the top down to like a 2 or a 1 .It will give you a cleaner look. While doing that ,you can use the serum on the desired areas so the hair can grow evenly. And yes I recommend doing scalp messages daily along with derma rolling once a week with the serum. Elliott you should look into getting on finasteride to stop ur hairloss and also grow ur hair back. I have been on finasteride 1.25mg daily for over a year now. The reason why I got on it was because I shaved my hair short in Aug 2022 (number 2) and noticed right away the corners of the front of my hair had thinned a bit, almost like someone had shaved a small line through each corner (I was a month short of turning 31 at this time, but wasnt surprised because that's where my dad has lost hair). The last time I shaved my hair short like this was when I was 26 and had no thinning at this time. So once I saw the thinning, I already knew about finasteride but not much info, so I started watching heaps of TH-cam vids and research on the internet, saw the possible side effects but saw they're rare to get, and in a week and a half I decided I will try it. So I went to my doctor, and said I noticed I've lost some hair, said I wanted to get on finasteride, and got a prescription no problem and started it. I didn't get any side effects at all, and wanted to eventually shave my head number 2 again after a year to see if hair has grown back, stayed the same, or if I've lost more. So I shaved my hair number 2 again, and I was surprised to see my hair is back to 100%! Also there is dutasteride which is basically a stronger version if you dont get good results from finasteride.

Hahahahaha I'm on the same boat as a lot of these other dudes in the comments, we're in this together brother's lmaoooo. 29 y/o as of Jan 2nd but I've been balding since like 26-27 ish. Had a full mophead growing up and I'd have to go for haircuts much more often than my buddy's cuz it grew back like from Evan Almighty, practically overnight lol.
If I may Elliot; perhaps what is happening - what is REALLY happening - is not your hair falling out, but the realization that flesh is indeed wretched and its beauty short-lasting.... but the Spirit is beauty epitomized, eternally.
I realize that makes you sound like a dumbass highschool jock but if we're all honest with ourselves, we weren't much better than them and we ALL struggle with emotions on our physical appearances, that's just fact of human nature. Otherwise Elliot is clearly light years ahead of his peers and no dummy jockey at all.
I'm trying to Christianize this that's all hahaha and to God be all the glory. Only you know, Elliot, so this isn't an "accusation of the brethren" so-to-speak and I hope it isn't taken in that way.
When Socrates was doomed to drink his cup of hemlock, he ended his final speech with (i forget verbatim but something like this) "Then I say good! I am glad to be done and away with this wretched body of mine!"
And probably the craziest concept that we know of and do not truly grasp, unknown origin except that it arose with early Christian thinkers, philosophers and its antiquity --- "Memento Mori"
    --- Remember Death.
    OR
    --- Remember, you MUST die.
I watched this other short documentary style video about Eastern Orthodoxy, monastic and ascetic lifestyles, etc... and this one bishop/monk said "no matter where one looks, they must see death in it. Death, death, death and more death. Only in such a paradoxical way can humans find peace in living until the Son of Man comes riding on the clouds He spoke of and takes rightful ownership of His creation back which will vacate the worlds current owner, death itself."
In Eastern Christian Orthodoxy we often hear it chanted "With love and death, He defeated Death." My father sings it to himself. I'm about to cry, nope.. nope. I'm going on with this comment.
Yeah umm, upon further scholarly study you come to find that literally each word in the Bible is magical. Any time the word "the" appears, its just as important as any other word in there.
"With love AND death, He defeated Death." It seems to a combination of the two. It seems to be the fulfilment of "love thy enemy" with Life itself (Jesus the Christ/Saoshyant) sacrificing Life to Death itself, for the love of all His children.
It seems to be our only escape from this corporeal hell. To love that which by definition cannot be loved. Not agreeable love. Unconditional love. This is the thing separating true love and worldly love. We all know there are a million different ways for a person to become a monster and murderer, but our love toward them goes toward the tragedy that made this occur in the first place, not toward the fact that they're a monster and murderer lol.
*TLDR; LMAO. Don't worry about it. The flesh was never able to capture the epitome of beauty anyway. It can get close perhaps, but its counterfeit to begin with and short-lasting. Spirit > Flesh*

You have male pattern baldness classified Norwood 4A. Its asymmetrical - maybe from previous trauma to that area, but the problem is genetic. You can rub whatever you want on your head, but the hair will not come back without a hair transplant. You are a good hair transplant candidate. This will not be something that you can comb over. Your best option is to reconsider a hair transplant procedure. I've been watching you for like 10-15 years it feels like. It's kind of sad hearing you take the approach of "I don't care what I look like." That doesn't sound like the Elliott I used to watch on here. You should take good care of yourself. Best wishes.

Yes. This is androgenic alopecia the beginning of it. Your hair is sensitive to a converted form of testosterone called DHT dihydrotestosterone. They bind to the hair follicle and miniaturization of the hair starts until they become baby hairs. An intensive program of minoxidil, topical finasteride or taken in oral pill form once a day or its stronger cousin dutasteride along with dermarolling will be necessary. Dutasteride and finasteride should be prescribed and are available. Caps and hats cut off the blood circulation to the scalp and accelerate baldness. Oh and the grey is your hair that is growing in is losing its pigment and melanin due to age. Dyeing your hair is a choice, but hair can fall out as dye is a harsh chemical treatment that has to be repeated over and over again.

Funny to watch this. Im 26 and never had a problem with my hair. Cut my hair bald today just cause its more convenient. As a doc I would never recommend any "active substances" such as finasteride or minoxidil. They have side effects and you have to keep taking them. In fact they might give you a rebound effect once you stop, and you could lose even more hair later once you quit.
I would rather be jacked and let my facial hair grow. Peoples attachment to their hair is understandable, but at a certain point it does not make sense to do all these obsessive rituals

It’s DHT fam, your hair follicles are sensitive to it and you produce more as you get older (and when you use PED’s) finasteride and minoxidil will prob reverse most of what you have going on but you’ll have to use it permanently and 2% of the people who use it end up having sexual side effects like ED. A more permanent and less androgenic way of addressing it is by injecting your scalp with stem cells that aren’t DHT sensitive to replace the hair follicles that have deactivated from DHT exposure.

I've realized that it's best just to grow the healthiest hair that you can regardless of how you are balding, and it will look good. That means taking vitamins for your hair and collagen. And then let it do its thing and growth naturally. All these guys say, "shave it" and all this. But I've tried shaving it, and that's high maintenance as hell. Plus, I've noticed that women prefer me with hair regardless of my male pattern baldness as opposed to completely shaving my head bald and looking like a cancer patient.

Eating some foods might help ,where eating can help. Salmon, nuts, yogurt, bell peppers were some of the suggestions I found in a mens health article, I think that's where it was. Salmon I think is good for raising testosterone perhaps as well.

Its androgenic alopecia, if you want your hair back what I recomend the most is using rogaine + dermaroller at least 0.5 mm needle length and a good oil for hair follicle nutrition.
The way you do it is you pour rogane mixed with a nice hair oil and dermaroll on top to get the most product into your scalp. I have great hair genetics but I used PEDS in the past so my sides were starting to thin, I did that and now im good as new.. try it!!

I’m already saving for a hair transplant in the temple/hairline area with a reputable surgeon either in Mexico or Turkey. I’m 33 and my temples are not as patchy and filled as before. One side is pushing back in a snail pace but it’s pushing back.
I just can’t do the bald route. My head and facial shape is not suited for it. I would literally go in a spiraled depression rut of darkness. A man’s healthy vitality and vibrancy is based a lot on his full set of hair.
Elliott, you can rock a bald look and still look active and attractive, man. Or you always have the transplant route. I have two acquaintances who had transplants in the front and they came out clean. You can’t tell and it looks natural. Their confidence shot up.
