Man everytime i hear the sound at 6:55 i get the chills, and when i finished playing the remastered i had a big nostalgia feeling at that point. I literally started crying and i don't know why. This game was fucking awesome and one of the best cods ever!
To this day I still don't understand why Griggs was dragging Soap out into the open from what seemed to be perfectly good cover behind that car? Meanwhile Gaz just lays out there completely open, in clear line of sight for the approaching enemies, why not help him instead?
looking back on this now in 2023 .... and its still one of the best cod series/ endings i have ever watched/played.... absolute goose bumps watching this!!
I remember playing this game YEARS ago. Besides all of your buddies being killed, the part that got me the most, was the reporter. Boiling the entire thing down into 2 sentences like it was nothing, when you know it was much, much more than that. Makes you think what happens in the real world, all the sacrifices, all the unknown heroes, all the close calls and how much the government and news agencies just cover it all up.
I just realized something. In the original, the SAS/marines that were in the other jeeps were also trying to take down the Hind with stinger missiles. However in this remaster, it seems like that Soap is the only one trying to take it down. I wished they kept that programming because it really feels immersive to me, and that your AI teammates are willing to help.
I remember when I played this, I shot both of Zakheav’s men, and Zakheav spun around just in time to look down the barrel of my gun before a blasted him. Fun times
Except for the paradox achievement, where when you try to snipe the dude in the wind(i forgot his name) you shoot the fake and then shoot the real one right after in a previously empty car, thus preventing MW2 and 3. Have fun with that.
WiiManElite it's not a fake a then a real they're 2 different people you kill zakiav (I think that's how you spell it) then you kill Makarov preventing mw2 and 3 from happening
Yeah that's what I sorta said. You think that other guy is Makarov, essentially making him a "fake" Makarov. Don't know much about the game so sorry. Also my phone auto'd Makarov to Macaroon.
One thing I miss from this ending is how Zakhaev turns around slowly to look at you, probably hearing the gun being passed to you, while the other soldiers are still watching the sky for that helicopter. I also miss the incredible deafness that comes from the old scene; you never hear Griggs get shot, only see it, same with Gaz and the other two.
Cant help but feel this is one of the most underated missions in cod history, basiclly a set peice from beggining to end, cat and mouse chase ontop of a final stand. Youve literally just saved the world the previous mission (where the movie usually ends) but now your hauling ass behind enemy lines with no cover or support from your allies in sight, just the guys around you and what ever weapons you grabbed on the way out of the launch facility. Theres so many memorable mission in the OG cod trilogy, hopefully we can get an MW3 remaster to experience the campaign all over again too!
This is not how it was, when Soap picks up the gun, Zakhaev and his henchmen DO notice and you have to act fast, not like this. That untouchable Hind is perfect btw
Probably a different voice actor. The first lines barely sound like Russian, it took me about 15 listens to understand him. The last line was instantly recognizable, like something a Russian person would say.
It would be Great if Cod stopped with futuristic shooters, and focus on normal reality existing weapons, not rather than future predictions, so all Cod fans will be shocked if the next year they release Cod:MW2 Remastered or Cod:BO1 Remastered. just saying not predicting it.
There was once a glitch where on rare occasions a random teammate survives and he would literally butt Zakhaev and The Ultranationalists with his rifle and instead of you killing them he just stood right on top of them.

Though Modern Warfare and Black Ops are set in two alternate universes, it would still be cool to see something like that added in, just to pay homage to other COD works.
Orlando Gonzalez Hmm hmm (in agreetion).
It hurt so much to see this mission again
0:19 the team talking about a celebration, but we all know that they didn't make it home
Wish they we able to have that celebration
Classics never grow old.
My favorite cod campaign I can replay it over and over
I always get the chills once Soap shoots Zakhaev and his guards. A music of hope sounding and allies saving you are so satisfying.
*Sigh*
FREAKING Call of Duty Logic!
God.
He pulled soap away from a tanker fire.
@@Fulllife3.2 Jesus man, thanks for telling someone
The car was going to explode and he was looking for more solid cover than a car body, which is 90% sheet metal, not really cover.
What's even more sad that in the cutscene they were having a conversation like they all thought there gonna survive in this fight.
the ending still gets me after all these years
looking back on this now in 2023 .... and its still one of the best cod series/ endings i have ever watched/played.... absolute goose bumps watching this!!
First Komarov's Russian phrase sounds so funny . But after 7:36 speak as usual Russian. (Just for you know, Zakhaev is not Russian at all)
Дур-ДомТВ he sounds like american trying to speak russian at first but then voice changes and everything is ok.
Это русский актёр озвучивает
Марк Мундриевский not at first. i did not even understood what he said when he got out of heli.
Shrekas 2 something like "этот целый, дышит". So you Russian or not?
Дур-ДомТВ yes, it is russian, but with strange accent.
I just finished this, best campaign experience I have ever played
Did anyone else see dimitri petrenkov
It's so close it's missing an I, Dmitri Petrenko not Dimitri Petrenko
RIP Sgt. Griggs and Lt. Gaz
When i was a kid i had a 1911 toy and i roleplayed this everytime it give sme nostalgia on this game
Who else thought Cpt.Price died? Guess again he was just unconscious
Me
Me
finally COD has reached BFBC2 graphics
Just imagine them surviving this mission and then Griggs, Gaz, Price, and Soap go and get drunk at a bar together
Why Griggs had to go across the bridge with Soap when in COD universe wrecked cars protects against everyhting
7:17 Private Dimitri Petrenko
I remember playing this game YEARS ago. Besides all of your buddies being killed, the part that got me the most, was the reporter. Boiling the entire thing down into 2 sentences like it was nothing, when you know it was much, much more than that. Makes you think what happens in the real world, all the sacrifices, all the unknown heroes, all the close calls and how much the government and news agencies just cover it all up.
they definitely gotta remaster Modern Warfare 2 as well for sure!!!
Well they have it now lol
June 2019 my nephew asked me if he can give it a go I handed him the controller, immediately he ran and tried to slide 😂😂.. bruh
Lol kids dont know the classic age
@@lukky6648 I remember when call of duty was good
Kedan Thomas so do I.
Yeah I was playing warzone and forgot that you can't slide
One of the most epic & saddest final car chase in gaming history.
Every time I replay the game, I try to save everyone at the end even though I know it’s impossible
GAZ!!!! NOOOOO
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Well he get's ran outta _Gaz_ get it? 😃
Grrigs too.
@@xjamesx7047 goddammit dude

Can't wait for the modern warfare 2 and 3 remastered.
Fun times
Anybody notice Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko at 7:16?
Squadron Leader Crippled Back Easter egg
Do they still have an arcade mode after finishing the story?
They do.
MY FIRST VIDS AT 1000 SUBSCRIBERS, HELP ME REACH THERE
One thing I miss from this ending is how Zakhaev turns around slowly to look at you, probably hearing the gun being passed to you, while the other soldiers are still watching the sky for that helicopter. I also miss the incredible deafness that comes from the old scene; you never hear Griggs get shot, only see it, same with Gaz and the other two.
4:42 When Kamarov/help/ 5:00 when the tank blow up behind you can see bunch of choppers at the far right side of the brigde
I couldnt see
Cant help but feel this is one of the most underated missions in cod history, basiclly a set peice from beggining to end, cat and mouse chase ontop of a final stand.
Gaz saying stop the bloody truck while hes driving has to be the funniest shit ever
😰I wish Griggs didn't die...
This is not how it was, when Soap picks up the gun, Zakhaev and his henchmen DO notice and you have to act fast, not like this.
That untouchable Hind is perfect btw
Actuallly this is EXACTLY as it was in the original game
Yo Papa Mandela Effect +1
jackhammertwo1 no it isn’t, you can find the original on TH-cam. Zakhaev notices
I just beat the original few minutes ago on the 360 and yes he notices.
Press F to pay respects for Gaz
F
Rest Well Griggs, Gaz, Ghost, Roach, Soap, And Yuri, your legacies will be remembered
7:34 Kamarov changing his voice
Probably a different voice actor. The first lines barely sound like Russian, it took me about 15 listens to understand him. The last line was instantly recognizable, like something a Russian person would say.
the guy dragging you used to have a desert eagle
ForemanXSL omg he did I just remembered that
I remember him having the same pistol that's shown here, but it sounded like a Desert Eagle.
Never mind. I was thinking of the scene where Captain Price executes that guy in the barn.
It was a silver M1911 in the original.
Joe Adams M45 probably.
6:42 Zakhaev should have turned his head around as in the original game did before shooting him
Hfortachón Lucas Berlón he does turn
I can't wait the next years to have cod mw2 remaster and mw3 remaster to make them look real.
and First, and Second too))) It would be great.
Damm Right mate👍👍👍
It would be Great if Cod stopped with futuristic shooters, and focus on normal reality existing weapons, not rather than future predictions, so all Cod fans will be shocked if the next year they release Cod:MW2 Remastered or Cod:BO1 Remastered. just saying not predicting it.
Devil Assassin Only infinity ward can do true Call of Duty.
Devil Assassin it doesn't look real, it just looks nice to our current standards. In another 10 years this will look very non amusing
Can we talk about how Griggs dragged Soap out of cover and into the open?
Heart breakers and Life takers. Semper Fi
There was once a glitch where on rare occasions a random teammate survives and he would literally butt Zakhaev and The Ultranationalists with his rifle and instead of you killing them he just stood right on top of them.
I'll believe it when you post it
