Great video! But why did you ignore Night Thunder though?
It was second best in X but it switched spots with Blood Hawk in GP Legend, and it was still on par with Dragon Bird GT because of it's speed retention being one of the best aside from Twin Norrita's and it's grip, even though it wasn't as effective as Crazy Bear's
Outside of GX, it always was at least a top 5 machine.
I know, and the more I think about it, I probably should've mentioned the machine. I was trying to make each game's section about 2 minutes in the video, and I felt that Blood Falcon was known more by people. I should've mentioned Night Thunder, and I'll pin this comment.

The BF has always held a special place in my heart as well ever since I first saw this sleek, magnificent, technological marvel on F-Zero X and I've been in love her ever since.
Surprised the original "Blue Falcon but more" special machine, the Super Falcon from the Expansion Kit version of X wasn't covered, doubly so since Falcon GT was for Climax.
That being said, great retrospective on the Blue Falcon's history! It might not always be the best, but it'll always feel like home.

Here's to hoping you do the same for all the machines, but in particular the crazy bear ;)
For GX in particular it might be worth noting how machines were designed for casual play, e.g wild goose is probably intended to use higher acceleration to strengthen the short boost and get speed out of its unique handling, not just advanced play.
The videos would probably be quite a bit shorter, as no other machine has had as many appearances as the Blue Falcon. I might do more on the other original machines, but it may take a while.

Great analysis on the Blue Falcon from all the games display here. The machine will remain iconic.. (even though I use Golden Fox in 99)
i find it so funny that the falcon is really only “Meta” in a game that isn’t what it’s from lol
@@madifal It's pretty good in F-Zero 99, but Mario Kart 8's is undeniably the best kart in that game.

@_orangeonion Probably on the other original machines (Fire Stingray, Wild Goose, and Golden Fox). However, there are no guarantees! It did take a while to edit this video.

What about the Falcon Mk-II? From what I've heard, it's one of the better machines in Maximum Velocity (aside of the Jet Vermillion, that is).
@@kirimusse I was considering it, but I ultimately chose not to include it in the video because it did not share the exact same name "Blue Falcon" and was not driven by Captain Falcon.

Seems like the new favorite machine is the Firefox for all the newbies that play F-Zero-99. The new boost mechanics totally nerfed the Stingrays top end.
Honestly seeing the blue falcon in x be bad kinda makes me wish there was a secondary meta that had the best times for each machine just so itd have somewhere to be of use

All that to make a bold faced lie that Falcon is equal to Fox, lol. No it’s not.
For me personally, I found that Golden Fox can easily be passed on Death Wind tracks by Falcon and dies easily in the pack. However, the Fox has the best handling in 99, making easy recoverys in tight turns. It also can front run on Mute City tracks, with Falcon able to follow right behind in many situations. In my journey to S42, I find the Fox and Falcon to be equal in performance depending on the tracks.
