Kobe Kola There's a reason for that. They could also teach at least bookkeeping to trial balance, but don't. They want the public to be uneducated about finance. It makes it easier to extract money from us.
Paul Rotaru Sounds really good. Which country are you in? Do you teach in public or state school? Or older, college students who have chosen that as a course? I have never heard of anything like that being taught in UK state schools from say, 13-16yrs. Not being familiar with the subject, would it be as beneficial to understanding money management from pocket money to running a small business, as would bookkeeping? I don't mean keeping a budget with a view to investments, but to understand normal daily, monthly, yearly income and outgoings with basic essential living costs, how to calculate VAT, to both add and subtract it, etc. Sounds like you are teaching a really useful skill though, wherever you are.
Paul Rotaru Depends on whether property prices are included in inflation/deflation figures, too. At one time here it was definitely better to invest in some companies than in property. Also depends if a property is going to be a home, an investment, or for tax reasons. You teach in a very different environment and to another group of students to what I was referring, though.
Kobe Kola it's also not taught how to think for yourself, how to grow food, or how to not become a brainwashed sheep that accepts giving up their hard earned money willingly and proudly to crooks and thieves who spend it corruptly and borrow on top of draining the middle class dry while creating 20+ trillion dollars in debt. Ive noticed that watching your channel has helped me out a lot. Its hard to remember the tips you teach us but what I do is make a playlist and listen to your videos whenever I can. While I'm doing homework or anything that allows me to have background noise. It help to really but concepts in your head and ive caught myself on some of my bad habits that make me less charismatic and begun to change those.
Hey, I have recently discovered this channel and I fell in love with all the tips. I have gone from being a more closed off shy person to a more outgoing and people wanting to make plans. Thank you for the help, I haven't found a better youtube Chanel than this.
I use this method quite often with my kids giving them a choice between now and say a half hr. to get something that needs to get done. For instance homework or showering etc..it works!
Your tip with interview follow up question at 3:25 (which you have mentioned in an earlier video as well) has helped me convert "maybe" to actual offers twice this year already! I have been having a rough couple of years where I began to doubt my skills and self … those two offers have significantly helped me boost my self esteem back up and made me more confident. Keep up the great work!
Actually, I do teach similar techniques to my students in high school. Students are often at a loss on how to talk to their teachers persuasively or to de-escalate problems with their peers. These are great techniques to help students start to advocate for themselves in life. I hope you think about starting a series for young people so they can not only learn to persuade but to get along more successfully with people in their lives. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your next video.
you’ve always had charisma, you just weren’t taught how to bring it out and use it, if you think he gave you all your charisma, well... that means you’re dependent on him for your charisma, that ain’t good sir
This video is priceless. You're straightforwardness on each "trick" is a growing pain I still suffer from, haha. Thanks for your research and presentation. As an fine art artist and applying your perspectives into practice will be a vast improvement to my marketability because you put into words of things I wondered about. Kudos.
The video is titled "5 Psychological Tricks You’re Not Taught In School" but it should be "5 Psychological Tricks You Can Use To Manipulate People Into Things You Want"
"Blue shirt or white shirt?" "Look... you're probably going to be skeptical about this, and quite frankly if you weren't, I would think something is wrong with you, but then again-" "Blue shirt or white shirt?"
that's exactly what i have been telling someone.. if you make yourself available for people all the time you lose your value..they start thinking that they own you or your time or that it's worthless..
I tend to think about things very logically, I find myself analyzing happiness in an attempt to recreate it like some sort of science experiment. Partly because of that I’m not very charismatic, I understand numbers far better than feelings, emotions and people but this channel (found you guys recently) analyses charisma in a way that makes sense to me with examples. This is so helpful I love it so much, being able to read people and use psychology like this is such a life saver so ups to you!
Does anyone else ever view life in "3rd person" to the point where you are watching everything and anything but no one seems to grasp even the simplest note of what you find intriguing?
I’d never really thought about it before, but the scarcity point is so true! It made me think about job interviews when I already had a job compared to when I didn’t. BIG difference!
Pretty much, even if it doesn’t seem like it or they don’t act in self interest there’s usually a hidden motive or reason that has to do with their self interest
@@hexagone5808 man I don't like these "tricks" because to me it seems like manipulation aka deception. It ultimately comes down to that. If everyone was just themselves, honest and transparent and wasn't trying to think what the other person will think but just said what they feel regardless.
@@sowhat... This is an imperfect world filled with imperfect people. All of us at one time or another use manipulation, even trickery, to our own benefit even if we aren't aware of it. Lots of other creatures use trickery as well. And while we humans do often use them abusively, manipulation and trickery are not wrong. Learning manipulative "tricks" is only wrong if you intend to use them to harm others. Learning to recognize them when they are being used on you, however, is a very, very good thing!
Crazy how often times when ur feeling awkward or negatively at all in a social situation doing the opposite of what u feel like u need to do is actually the best thing to do.
It basically depends on the country in which you study, BUT yeah.. Very often you don't learn the things you'll need after school P.S. I know it's a joke 😀

"Since Tommy Shelby is such a popular character with some very interesting traits, your channel and your followers would greatly benefit making a video about him soon." You should watch the video before commenting mate.
Thanks, one of your best videos. I really like #1 as I've been told more than a few times, "Don't say 'but' because it negates everything that came before it." Your take embraces the "problem" and gives a solution: put the negative stuff before it so "but" can negate *that* and emphasize what comes after. And it totally makes sense! :)
I can't make time to write for you at this time because i'm already committed to another role but I would have loved to have worked with you and I'm glad your channel is growing so well. X
Great Tips as always! The only thing I would add to the Framing tip is When you are focusing on the other person instead of yourself, Make sure what you are offering can add real value to them. As a professional I get tired of clients who often say they can help me do things that I have already accomplished or simply don't need. Do a little research to find out how you can really be of benefit to someone before making a proposal that is just annoying.
My version is similar: "I really don't feel like going out tonight, but thank you for the offer. Perhaps some other time." Apparently, it combines two of his "tricks" - The Word 'But' and Scarcity. *Effective interpersonal communication needn't be dishonest.* 🚫🤥
Unfortunately I can't apply to work for your channel - the last youtube video I was watching already did. But I'm really glad you asked! I can already see us working together years from now creating the best content of our lives and looking back on this moment as the time we almost missed each other.
@Jake Watson , it's ok. This video popped out of nowhere, never seen this channel and it has mills subs. Then all these vids on how to know if someone a narcissist, sociopath, or psychopath from other channels 🤔
@Jake Watson ,Thanks. Also have u ever watch videos on narcissistic ? I actually think I may be a empath, so many things fit me, like a video from this channel about spotting a lier, I can go in a room and tell it's a positive or negative one or person to person, plus the thing that's say some say I do myself and that is that it's a curse for me not not special gift. But ya this video started me on many different videos I call human personalities, interesting stuff when you are like yes that's me or that's them 100% lol.
@Jake Watson , ya myb, I been looking into this about someone but things can be a sociopath too. One thing is they never admit they wrong but my brother be acting like that and I know he dont fit all the types so it got to be more to it.
dude you are such a pro and have come so far. it takes serious talent to break down the explicit parts of what's under our nose all day :) Keep it up Charlie!!!
Re: Framing. My friend told me about an interview she had and she made the “I” statement when asked why she wanted to be manager of a particular branch. I knew immediately her error, and needless to say, she didn’t get the job.
Congratulations on +3 million subscribers! Your channel is helping so many people, thank you for all the knowledge and all the effort you make to deliver such great content. You're a huge inspiration and you deserve the best!
This was something very helpful and insightful into how to progress in the world and how to interact properly with other people, you have taught me a lot of things that I’ve never known before, thank you
I'm not very charismatic, in fact people usually don't notice what I say. That's why I watch your channel. Although I'm a good observer, I know how to read people, their feelings and so. Thanks for what you do
dude i cant remember which video exactly, but it was in relation to job interviews and i just want you to know, i used your question of "assuming things go well and you hire me, what would make you look back and say 'im glad i hired this person' " AND DEADASS IT WORKED AND IM SO HAPPY BECAUSE IVE WANTED THIS JOB FOREVER, THAnk YOUU
I always use a “we” frame. It puts me and the other person on the same team, even we are not. Using I or You is divisive. Saying you.. xyz can seem like an attack rather than saying we...xyz
The tip about interviewing is one I use too. I usually will ask questions that assume I've already been hired, such as "Who will I be reporting too?", "Who will be working on my team?", etc. The key is to phrase it as it's your first day on the job not a hypothetical. Once they start answering such as "You'll be reporting to so and so and you'll have a chance to meet everyone, you guys will get along great." then you know you have them. You've successfully painted the picture in their mind of you already being hired and working there.
Oh man, watching these videos makes me look back and realise all my past mistakes really hurt, but at least I am learning now. The part about scarcity really cut me deep. I once tried to be 100% available for a group of people, I worked really hard and sacrificed a lot so that I could be as available as possible. I ended up being more like a wallflower and somewhat part of the background, and it didn’t help that I was an introvert. For so long I thought something was wrong with myself and had really low self-esteem. I put in a lot of effort but just didn’t know what was wrong. Until I came across your videos and learnt exactly what mistakes I was making. It still hurts but I can now constructively work on myself! Thank you for your videos!
Hi, love this video. Got to say though that if I want to keep a conversation positive I intentionally avoid the word "but" altogether and instead use words like "however" or "although" even if it doesn't seem to fit as well or I leave it out altogether.
Please do a video on Ragnar's charisma from the Vikings show. He is one of the most charismatic characters I've ever seen. Would love to hear your analysis on him.

Charisma on command. You should check out old classic big brother seasons and talk about the psychology behind the best players. For example, how Will Kirby got most of people in the game to look up to him and not vote him out through both lying and being genuine. Or how Derrick from BB16 played the way he did. And how that can help us in day to day life

Hey, I have recently discovered this channel and I fell in love with all the tips. I have gone from being a more closed off shy person to a more outgoing and people wanting to make plans. Thank you for the help, I haven't found a better youtube Chanel than this.
I use the double bind when I’m babysitting 😂 ‘do you want to brush your teeth now or in 5 minutes ?’
8:02 Charlie has one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen, gotta love it.
You gave me all my charisma 🤧🤞🏾 best youtuber i know
that is so true!!
you’ve always had charisma, you just weren’t taught how to bring it out and use it, if you think he gave you all your charisma, well... that means you’re dependent on him for your charisma, that ain’t good sir
Nice 'you' frame.
If he gives you your charisma
You don t have charisma
Damn I guess u had 0 charisma
This video is priceless. You're straightforwardness on each "trick" is a growing pain I still suffer from, haha. Thanks for your research and presentation. As an fine art artist and applying your perspectives into practice will be a vast improvement to my marketability because you put into words of things I wondered about. Kudos.
The video is titled "5 Psychological Tricks You’re Not Taught In School" but it should be "5 Psychological Tricks You Can Use To Manipulate People Into Things You Want"
Yeah, just that its not difficult to spot it. Use them with caution.
Josh C I’m with you on this one lol, the word “trick” already has an implication of manipulating perception
"Blue shirt or white shirt?"
"Look... you're probably going to be skeptical about this, and quite frankly if you weren't, I would think something is wrong with you, but then again-"
"Blue shirt or white shirt?"
that's exactly what i have been telling someone.. if you make yourself available for people all the time you lose your value..they start thinking that they own you or your time or that it's worthless..
If you make yourself not available all the time, no one will invite you anywhere.
Same, narrow minded statement which is also true ^^
Summary: Humans act in pure self interest.
we live in a society
not necessarily, sinister potato
Nop.
Pretty much, even if it doesn’t seem like it or they don’t act in self interest there’s usually a hidden motive or reason that has to do with their self interest
All these negative replies are really just justifications to actually reveal their self interest in proving your statement wrong.
You are the first genuine psychological tricks channel out there that I have found good job
Double Bind? We call it "The Box in". Makes u think the options we present u are the only possibilities. Love it😎👍🏽
Yeah, unless they actually think...
That's the basic logic behind PUA
TH-cam: 5 things you didnt learn in school
Me: People LEARN things from school?!
My thoughts exactly 😂😂😂😂 (I don't think I learned anything from school)
😂😂
USA
It basically depends on the country in which you study, BUT yeah.. Very often you don't learn the things you'll need after school
P.S. I know it's a joke 😀
I don't know if it makes me any better BUT I'm still mindblown how YOU nailed it.
1:41. #2. Drives me crazy when salesmen use it. (Double bind). I immediately get turned off when I hear it.
This is probably the most packed video you've made yet! Every one of these tips are life-changing.
Interviewer: so, tell me why you want this job
Me: You want to want me in your job, don't you?
Interviewer: uh...
Me: SO, tell me about yourself, Caroline, this is all about you.
....
What?
What ur doing is amazing! I would have never known this! I’m the type of person that loves to try and make people feel better/happy, and this is the first video I’ve seen by u and I can already say you’ve helped me a lot with that aspected things. Keep doing what ur doing, love ya man!
Literally been struggling with #1 all the time. Appreciate the advice!
I truly like your
videos Charlie
but I have no buts.
They are informative and
you are well-spoken.
There is something to learn
in each and every one of them.
Thanx.

Do a video on tommy shelby from peaky blinders
"threatening is a very effective way to get people to do what you want"
Great character, I am looking forward to the 5th season.
"Since Tommy Shelby is such a popular character with some very interesting traits, your channel and your followers would greatly benefit making a video about him soon."
You should watch the video before commenting mate.
@@PrebenFrenning Hahaha

Thanks, one of your best videos. I really like #1 as I've been told more than a few times, "Don't say 'but' because it negates everything that came before it." Your take embraces the "problem" and gives a solution: put the negative stuff before it so "but" can negate *that* and emphasize what comes after. And it totally makes sense! :)
I can't make time to write for you at this time because i'm already committed to another role but I would have loved to have worked with you and I'm glad your channel is growing so well.

Did you change your username inspired by this video?
Great Tips as always! The only thing I would add to the Framing tip is When you are focusing on the other person instead of yourself, Make sure what you are offering can add real value to them. As a professional I get tired of clients who often say they can help me do things that I have already accomplished or simply don't need. Do a little research to find out how you can really be of benefit to someone before making a proposal that is just annoying.
Actual me: I can't make it tonight cause I don't want to go 😂
I would appreciate that more than someone lying too me about why they can't make it.
@@dontignorewatchme5851 Coolest thing. Just say you can't make it. Keep 'em guessing. This dude is wrong.
My version is similar: "I really don't feel like going out tonight, but thank you for the offer. Perhaps some other time."
Apparently, it combines two of his "tricks" - The Word 'But' and Scarcity.

This is one of your videos (not the only one) that I'm going to have to review again in the near future.
@Jake Watson , Myb u do, hence the comment.🤫
You are an amazing communicator. Where are the notes for your points (down to the left?). No jump cut edits and all valuable info. Kudos, my friend!
Dating a hottie:

Why did you post the same comment twice....
@@shriyaraina1287 he's doing a double bind
dude you are such a pro and have come so far. it takes serious talent to break down the explicit parts of what's under our nose all day :) Keep it up Charlie!!!
Re: Framing. My friend told me about an interview she had and she made the “I” statement when asked why she wanted to be manager of a particular branch. I knew immediately her error, and needless to say, she didn’t get the job.
Did anyone notice the volume change as the video started? Props to you. Love your channel
Congratulations on +3 million subscribers! Your channel is helping so many people, thank you for all the knowledge and all the effort you make to deliver such great content. You're a huge inspiration and you deserve the best!
I hope this video was not a typical example, as virtually everything he said in this video, is wrong.
I wish I had used the job interview tip on my last two interviews. Will definitely use on the next one. This kid is a genius.
You have provided me with many useful tools for my life but I could always learn more. Thank you!
Dude, you're videos are amazing! It's cool to see you helping out everyone. I know I struggle with confidence in myself. In life, but also on TH-cam.
Looking at w3schools there is only not
I was looking for this comment.

I'm not very charismatic, in fact people usually don't notice what I say. That's why I watch your channel.
Although I'm a good observer, I know how to read people, their feelings and so.
Thanks for what you do
Can you do a video on the 5 psychological tricks we ARE taught in school?
David S. None
dude i cant remember which video exactly, but it was in relation to job interviews and i just want you to know, i used your question of "assuming things go well and you hire me, what would make you look back and say 'im glad i hired this person' " AND DEADASS IT WORKED AND IM SO HAPPY BECAUSE IVE WANTED THIS JOB FOREVER, THAnk YOUU
I always use a “we” frame. It puts me and the other person on the same team, even we are not. Using I or You is divisive. Saying you.. xyz can seem like an attack rather than saying we...xyz
Same
The tip about interviewing is one I use too. You've successfully painted the picture in their mind of you already being hired and working there.
iFrame - Apple's new narcissistic glasses. Only 99$.
Loved the framing trick. Great video!
Wear light armor to increase your iFrames when dodging.
That's not expensive enough. Add a 9 to it.
Oh God don't give them any funny ideas!
this is not the place for you to put your add, but we would have loved to get a pair if they were closer to $1k
@@HellCat838whp I apologize, the price has already increased to $999.95
One of the best videos on this channel. You did a great job on this one 👌🏼
Thank you for your videos!
i love this guys methods.. they just flow off the top.. like the should
Conjunction...your adorable. Love this channel, I've applied several of your tips successfully. Great work!
This is my favorite video you've made so far. Thank you for all that you do!
Thanks for these free videos, I got my first job last week and all your videos really helped in the interview.
The first strategy is great.
Putting the positive emotion after but. I can see that being positively powerful and will be using it.
Thanks!
I paused this video to take notes. It’s that freaking good 😳
I’m in school currently and have been subscribed for a while, definitely has helped.
Wow.! This video was very impressive compared to what I thought when i clicked on it. Thank you!
Hi, love this video. Got to say though that if I want to keep a conversation positive I intentionally avoid the word "but" altogether and instead use words like "however" or "although" even if it doesn't seem to fit as well or I leave it out altogether.
at job interview
"have you ever made an exception?"
"no, get out of my office"
No, I haven’t, your right. 911 this man is trying to use some Jedi mind tricks on me.
I have an interview today in 2.5 hours. I think I literally *will* use one of these tips today!
Please do a video on Ragnar's charisma from the Vikings show. He is one of the most charismatic characters I've ever seen. Would love to hear your analysis on him.
This would be great
I'd watch it.
I did find this VERY helpful. Thank you. I am going to utilize this.
The person at 7:50 clearly didn't pay attention to the first tip in this video. ;)
Very very interesting. Just by your first video and what you taught me this morning , I subscribed immediately. No other TH-camr have I done this with.
Thank you!
3:20 Interview questions
4:02 Have you ever made an exception.
Bruh. The stuff in this video was mind blowing. Favorite one of your videos!
There's alot more than psychological tricks not being taught in school!
I'm thankful for your channel and also the wisdom of Jordan Peterson, Matt D'avella and other great channels to help me through life.
TH-cam is truly wonderful.
Yes it is! This channel has been so helpful for me improving my camera presence for my own channel
