I spent so much time helping neighbors and teaching my kids. They are older now and when I finally needed help everyone had moved out and those who moved in just keep to themselves. I might as well live in the middle of nowhere

She tried to pay me, but I refused and told her that it was my pleasure and not to worry about that. When I had a foot surgery, my neighbors husband beside her, mowed. It's sad times where no one gives a crap about anyone other than themselves.
When he hung his head and said he was so ashamed, I just started bawling. You feel so helpless when you start aging and your body starts failing you. God bless you . I'm so happy for the man❤✌️

There is a man like John in my neighborhood. I passed his house years ago and knew he needed help. It was way more than I could handle so I contacted a local group who tackle all sorts of projects. The group showed up with about 10 volunteers and within a week, the home looked 30yrs younger. Neighbors helping neighbors.
That man really needed your listening and empathatic kindness. You not only cleared his yard, but you put a pep in his step and had a real conversation together. Which he likely needed as much as he needed the grass cut.

I lost my husband that same year so i feel exactly what John feels. Grief hits in waves every day and then the tsunami hits at night. Im so happy you did this for him...even a healthy older person has trouble keeping up with it all. Please look in on him every now and then. It will bring him such joy.
I think this one was extra special. This was an all hands on deck situation, so shout out to Sean's family for all the sacrifices they make to by giving up dad for the weekend to help out this man out.
