Funnily that, because Hank Ketchum (franchise creator, whom Henry Mitchell was based on) had a real-life son named Dennis (so, here's to hoping the genuine Dennis wasn't as much of a menace in reality, because really, Hank Ketchum's Dennis only wished to help, but trouble usually found him anyway, whereas the British Dennis from The Beano comics by comparison was intentionally a troublemaking scamp).

I believe the intro was changed for its second run in syndication in the 90s. Kind of like a fresh coat of paint. It was also under the "Cookie Jar" banner of shows.
I am not interested in watching this in English I watched it before but in Portuguese I am more used to a show when I watched it in one language almost always.
I used to wake up an hour earlier than I had to for school to watch this, I loved it.....and the theme song is STILL catchy to this day!

Here in UK they had to drop The Menace title to just Dennis. Reason being there was a character of the same name in a comic called The Beano
