My boss told new hires that if they wanna be drivers they should stop smoking and take up drinking. I dont know how that makes any sense but thats the world we live in.

Just giving my testimony.
Im 5'8 250 pounds and I smoke an ounce a month for the past 6 years. Just flower(2-3g joints) no edibles. I recently stopped due to surgery and was clean for 37 days. Because i was out for over 30 days my job required I take another physical and drug test(lab urine) to return to work. I took both home test and lab test on the same day. The home test was very VERY faint. So faint that you can only see it up close. But like the test says, a ghost line is still passing. 4 days later my lab test came back negative so I was able to return to work. So if you're concerned about lab test results, as long as it shows negative on the home test, there's a 99% chance of passing the lab test. No i didn't detox or drink a gallon of water a day nor drink cranberry juice. Hopefully this will lower some people's anxiety. Good luck everybody

Thank you for sharing. I barely smoke. Cpl hits a week. An ounce will last me over a year. I've taken at least 12 home tests. All had very faint negatives. Just took the lab test hopefully I don't lose this job opportunity. Shame I can no longer take small puffs once and awhile guess they want us to all be drunks.

Why is it that if you fail for 50 they do a 15? Makes no sense to me. You're clearly not going to pass a more sensitive test.

The confirmatory test is WAY MORE accurate, they send it off to another lab to break it down even more witch shows exact levels of everything in urine and I mean everything, those facility test just test for drugs
i don’t understand why the confirmation level is lower. if you test positive for the 50, then obviously you’re gonna test positive for the 15 right?

It’s hard to understand but it’s the upper threshold level. It’s saying that it’ll be positive if you have MORE than 50ng in your urine. So it’s possible to have less than 50 but more than 15 ng in your urine. The 15ng means that it’ll be positive if you have more than 15 ng but less than 50.
The testing is so unfair. The test should keep people from being high on the job. If you drive big truck or operate heavy equipment, then yes, you shouldn't be stoned I'll kinda agree with that. However, if you haven't used it in over a dang month, then what the hell are we doing. Getting drunk is horrible for your life but extremely acceptable in construction. When will things start to change?

Same. I have not smoked for 60 days and my 50ng test strip shows up a very very faint line (barely positive). My concern is the confirmation test for DOT that tests for 15ng.
I’m 5’2 209. I advise drinking 3 liters of water a day. Drink orange juice and cranberry juice too. I have been passing my home tests, my faint lines are getting a little darker
It sucks when you fail with 48ng. Im not sure why it tested positive at that level. 2 at home test were passed, and they had a cutoff level of 50ng. It was a DOT test, so it was a test with 50ng cut-off

I took a dot drug test at 50ng and the mro called and said I failed so they did a confirmation test and lowered it to 15ng she said I was at 30ng so how did I fail the initial screening test now she is asking if I want a retest on the second specimen.

I think most of this info is inaccurate. I failed a drug test for my job at 8. If you want to pass, stop smoking and taking anything with thc. 30-90 days will do it. Took me about 60 for it to be completely out of my system.
If the confirmation test is only performed when you test over 50ng, then how come they always send my samples to a lab regardless? Do they just retest at 50ng again since I passed the rapid test? Also, I wonder why they don’t just have a absolutely zero tolerance where when 2 nano grams could fail you

You have to see an approved substance abuse professional. They will put you through a class or program. Then you have to pass a supervised test. You will also be required to take at least 6 random supervised tests within one year.

Is this how the military does their drug testing? If the test shows less than 50ng there good, but if they test over they test for 15ng?
if you arent in yet, and are still in the recruiting phase they will just do an initial dip-stick style 50 ng/ml.
if you fail that they will confirm at the lab at 15 ng/ml. Once you are in and have passed boot camp, etc they will do random tests, usually monthly depending on your command. theyll pick 10% of the company at random. This was army infantry your job may vary greatly.

Why would you fail if your way below the 50ng/ml? Say around 26? How does that make sense?

I need an answer to this as well cause I'm applying for a job , tested negative at 50 at home using a decent tester. My company sent the samples straight to a lab to be tested without doing a screening first. I'm unsure if they will test at 50 and not at 15 right away

So l have a DOT drug test this tuesday (in 2 days) To my understanding they test at 50ng/ML and do a confirmatory at 15ng/ML for reference I am 6 foot five 290 pounds. I've been clean for 60 plus days two weeks ago, I sent a test to a private lab and tested at 38NG/ML I'm just stressing out because this is obviously a life-changing opportunity for me and a failure means that I'll never be able to work in this industry. I don't know if I should just use Quick fix or should i be good? to my understanding, they'll only send a confirmation test if you test positive on the initial. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

How am I a fail then at 26 ng’s? The chart does say the lab has to use the confirmation cutoff of 15 ng’s and is this Doctor actually saying 50? He could be saying 15. It’s kinda hard to tell

I don’t think it’s possible to fail below 50ng unless they started out with the 15ng and that’s unusual because the company has to pay more.
The tests you are recommending do not work. I bought them on your recommendation. Took one and it said I was clean. Let a daily user test. Also came up negative. Please stop recommending them.

The DOD Switched to 15ng/ml cut off in 2023.
For confirmatory tests, not initial. If you are over 50 for the initial, 15 is used for confirmatory.
