I could swear there was a Vangelus review of the Voyager Optumus Prime from this same Voyager scale. Did I imagine that or what? Can't seem to find it.
If it weren't for the terrible colours and the fact that I kinda like my Megatrons and Optimuses to be livin' large, I would get this in a heartbeat. The sculpting and awesome and honestly it really looks like Megatron (the backpack kinda breaks up the look, but I have yet to see a PERFECT usage of kibble on the smaller classes of Transformers).
You did the same backpack-tab thing I do! All I do extra is stick up the moving flaps as spike thingamadoos. Much love for this figure; only movie Voyager until Bludgeon releases. Combined with the Legend Megatron, the two make a creepily adorable father-son pairing. Kinda off topic, but I found ouf that Legends Megatron can turn into a backpack for Legends Fallen, almost intentionally by the look of it, although it is more of an "Armchair of Doom" deal. I will have pics if requested.
The poor proportions of Leader-class Megs is why i didn't get him, but I also didn't want a Megs standing shorter than Leader-class OP v2, which is why I didn't get Voyager Megs! Plus there is the whole backpack thing, and simplicity of transformation in the larger one. Someday in the future, i would really like Hasbro & TakaraTomy to take a second shot at doing Leader-class RotF Megs. (Of course, DotM Megs is a whole new robot... AGAIN!)

Great review..nice clear quality. I never had the funds for him when I saw him at Wal-Mart and now I have not seen him since...blast!!!lol But yeaqh man a great figure..such awesome detail and I also love the silver highlights on the ugly green and that head sculpt..man such dead on accuracy more less..and that claw thing is bad ass. Nice editing techniques too..very different of you..cool bro. 5 Strz and Faved.
i got that gathering at the nemesis set, expecting a G1 repaint soundwave, the fallen and this megatron. i got 2/3. the megatron i got's wings have warped out of shape. he cant stand, unless you have the wings folded forward. *sighs*. youre only bying that set for the soundwave, and possibly the fallen.

Can the backpack section be removed without needing a screwdriver or something? Can you pop the backpack off and just look at it without it? Because I’ve seen people using this figure without the backpack on, and I’m wondering if it can be easily removed.
I agree this one is much better than the leader class megatron. i wish they had mad the leader class from this design instead of what they did make it from. the leader class looks like he rides the short bus to school he is that bad. i am glad i saw the voyager class version right next to the leader class in the store because i was going to buy the leader class before i saw this one.
I like the green. However, I really do need the Fallen now so him, Starscream and Megatron can plot Of course, Starscream'll be also done in silver. Won't he?
@imthe13thgod the leader megs is cool i have em but the only downers is the unaccurate tank arms and missing articulation in key points (head and rite arm)but u can modifie it to have that missing articulatuion..........
I got battle blades optimus prime, ausome together with voyager megatron. I used silver crome nail polish to the details i believe should be silver and what a difference megatron looks. Thanks for the review i liked it . And i know you will get rid of voyager optimus prime ,once you get the new battle blades.The alternate transformation flying plane tank, genius you figured it out.
@kevin38429 debateable. this one is certainly bigger and easier to transform but the dotm one is a truck. both look wicked- it comes down to whichever you like the look of better. i like both
Leader Sentinel Prime was a bit panel-centric, but not nearly as painful as RotF leader Jetfire was. And I don't know why Hasbro gave us ANOTHER bloody Leader Bee. They're just not fucking listening to us... -_-;
Well Eva, we never got anything like. Sad. I actually regret passing up the leader class version, because I didn't have money at that time to get him, plus I do despise the voyager designs of both Optimus and Megs. I hoped that there would be a DOTM leader Megatron but NNOO!! We need a leader Bumblebee and Ironhide instead of Prime and Megatron, who got crappy voyager versions. Man I do wish I found leader Sentinel Prime. Dang.

I wish DOTM Megatron had this guy's color scheme. The beige is just SO DRAB it totally turns me off from buying it, and I love the way it looks otherwise.
I'd have to agree here- pretty much all the movie Meg's kinda suck. This one actually looks pretty decent save for the excess of green. If they'd used the silver paint from the original movie megatron voyager- THAT would make him 10 times more imposing. Prolly make a semi decent project for a fan repaint tho.

Cool. I guess the thng that works is you can always re-paint it yourself silver with added rust spots. I love the head sculpt. Great detail. 5* man.

This version of Megatron looks a whole lot better than his 2007 toy, at least its got alot going on. Great review btw.
i like the leader class better, has more accurate robot mode for me. although this voyager one has an accurate jet and "murder claw hand"

int he movie he's jsut a flying tank if you pause it you can see him fully in tank mode with wings :D, like the voyager.

in MY opinion this is the MOST ACCURATE meatron figure 4 rotf voyager and other version 4 the movie line
