as always another beautiful job, big fan of the work! I was the guy who sent pics of the studio stainless, I've been wanting to do one of these for awhile, what did you use to put the insert back in? polymer/caulck? keep up the good work bud!
It was bead blasted prior to DLC. And so far from what I see, this is one of the most durable finishes I've ever seen. I'm very careful with my putters, but I'm really curious to see what it will look like in a year or so.
it came out great man! i had a question. when you typically use testors paint do you use any of their thinner at all? have been watching your videos and you encouraged me to pick up a old newport to work on. thanks again!
No thinner. When the paint gets cold it will thicken up so, if you're in a colder environment, I recommend hitting the paint jars with a heat gun for a minute. It really helps it thin out.
Putter looks awesome! I have a Tei3 and I've wanted to redo all the holes on the back cavity. After you fill it with the polymer what did you put over the top of them? It looked like white paint but wasn't 100% sure. As always love your videos!!!
It's called Diamond Like Coating. It's super durable and to me looks like a perfect gloss black oxide finish. But won't oxidized like black oxide unless you really wear it down or damage the coating somehow. It's legit beautiful 😍
A friend of a friend..not really doing orders but hopefully in the future. And yes, that price is about standard anywhere that offers it. From the brief bit I've seen, the machines used to apply these finishes can run between. $50k and a $1mil so. It's understandable
Never say never. But as of now, this one is my new personal gamer. I have about 8 rounds on it and absolutely love it! I may do a few more in the future.

Just standard tub & tile caulk.
Great putter! minimum sand blast before DLC ? How will the DLC hold up on carbon steel with it being a "softer steel" Cheers

Depending on the silicone I use. I like to fill the dots with a drop of paintfill. Makes them pop a little more and looks really clean.
Looks great! I played one of these with the regular length neck for 25 years or so. What is a "DLC" finish? Never heard of that.

@@igolf906 it looks beautiful. I'm sure the camera doesn't do it justice.
Who do you use for the DLC finish? I've looked but all the places I've called have a min $150 order

@@igolf906 sounds like I need to find one to send to you to make just like this then lol
@stewboyslabs1578 I can't offer this finish yet so. Will have to be a different finish.
